Diane is fantastic! Last year she made two rings to go on either side of my diamond engagement ring. The design is beautiful and they fit together perfectly. The three rings would slide around on my finger so they were not always lined up correctly. Diane joined the three together and sized them so what was three rings is now one beautiful ring!Diane also sized two other rings for me, and made drop earrings out of gold charms that I had. Diane is truly the best custom jeweler in Buffalo. She designs works of art that are carefully created with her expert eye for quality and design at a fair price. I cannot stress enough how much of a joy she is to work with.I first came upon her when my wedding rings had to be redesigned after they were cut off due to an accident. After going to a few other places, I knew Diane as the one to be trusted with such a sentimental item. I absolutely loved the finished product and constantly receive compliments. She took a good amount of time to get to know who I was before going through the process of creating a whole new ring.Next, she created a perfect necklace for my mother for Christmas with all of her 7 grandchildren's names engraved on it - it was an original piece that my mother adores and wears often. She also was kind enough to complete it at the last minute after we had a new baby born a few days before the holidays.Perhaps the most important piece she has created for me was in honor of my dear friend who passed away from breast cancer at age 40. She sat for an hour to hear us talk about Julie - the kind of friend, mother, teacher, and daughter she was. Julie's legacy was important to her and she truly looked at this project as an honor. We finally decided on a necklace that had Julie's actual handwriting engraved on it. It was so well crafted, 18 more of us have now have ordered one to remember her by. As a designer looking to design the engagement ring I would give my future wife, I searched for some time looking for the person that would share my vision and idea of the importance of the process and design of the engagement ring. When I first called Melting Point Jewelers and spoke to Diane Von Heckler, after a few minutes of talking, I knew I had found the jeweler and designer I was looking for. She was enthusiastic to see my vision and dream come alive. We worked together on the design for months, until it was just right. We had some great design discussions and we worked together so well, from sketches to final design. Of course, we had our wedding bands also designed and made by Diane at Melting Point Jewelers, and now both my wife and I get to wear one of a kind, unique, specific to us, fantastic pieces of jewelery which we both treasure and love. My fiancé worked with Diane to design my one-of-a-kind engagement ring. Without having met me, she was able to craft the perfect ring for me. Yesterday, my fiancé and I sat down with her to select our wedding bands (which she also designed) and it was such an amazing experience. She created a ring for my future husband with one of the ranges in the ADK etched onto which holds significance for him. She also ensured that we were budget conscious and offered us less expensive alternatives for type of ring, weight and type of metal employed. My wife and I stumbled across this gem of a jewelry shop while scouring the internet for a place to make our wedding rings. Â You are supposed to make an appointment but we just rang the bell and the owner Diana invited us up with open arms. Â Wedding ring shopping can be a daunting task, especially if you aren't sure what you want but Diana made us feel comfortable and confident working with her right from the start. Â We met with her a total of three times and the entire process took less than a month. Â The first meeting was a "get to know you" type of deal and she asked us to send her some pictures to give her an idea of the types of rings we liked. Â The next time we met with her we brainstormed and gave her some ideas of what we wanted, what we didn't want, and she took care of the rest! Â The last meeting consisted of her presenting us with wax molds of our rings to get our final blessing before she had them made. Â The prices were very reasonable and Diana made sure to let us know that she could save us money if we needed to stay within a particular budget by tinkering with the rings in a way that wouldn't even be noticeable to the naked eye. Â She even upgraded the diamond on my wife's ring at no charge, and we also bought two necklaces from her to give to our mothers. I will most definitely go back to Melting Point for all of my jewelry needs in the future, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, trustworthy jeweler. More...
