I've been seeing Megan for help with weight loss. She is so sweet, supportive and understanding of my concerns. I will admit that I am a bit tough case - busy life, food restrictions and big goals. She never made me feel badly about the progress I wanted to make and even made me feel good about the changes I committed to. I feel confident getting on the scale. I have had a very positive experience with Megan.  It all started after an annual physical, where I learned my cholesterol was high, despite eating what I considered to be a healthy diet.  My internist, who also happens to be a well-respected board certified cardiologist (he was on Oprah), suggested I see a dietician (or he said he could just put me on a statin...hell no!).  Truth is, I was resistant to the idea of going to a dietician, as I have read tons of diet/nutrition books and did not think I would get much out of it (I know what to do, I just don't consistently do it).  Despite my hesitancy, the doctor gave me two names, which he both highly recommended.  After procrastinating a month or so I called one of the numbers and arranged a consultation.  I was immediately stuck by Megan's warm personality and eagerness to help.   OK, great...but I was not there just for some touchy-feely diet tips (I could get that for free watching Dr. Oz).  That said, after one session, it became apparent to me that I had made the right choice; no pop-psychology (or the nutritional equivalent), gimmicks, fads, or drastic unrealistic restrictions...just science based nutrition.  Megan has given me insight into my eating habits that have profoundly changed the way I view food.  But on a more practical level, I lost weight, have more endurance at the gym, and just overall feel better than I have in a while.   Incorporating her diet plan and awesome recipes (she is quite a maven in the kitchen, see her food blog) was key to breaking through a weight plateau I had been stuck at for a long time.  Most importantly, when I eventually went back to the doc to have my blood work retested, all of my numbers were normal.  I can't say enough good things about Megan, she is the real deal. Megan and I have been working together for a couple of months now, and I am really happy with the results!  Not only does she has great suggestions for weight management, but she also has offered a lot more education on healthy eating.  I used to think it was just about counting calories but Megan has given me a more nuanced perspective on eating.  Also, she is willing to meet me near my office for sessions, which is really great because my schedule makes it challenging to make daytime appointments. I started working with Megan when I lived in New York City. I've since moved to Washington but we have still continued working together over the phone or on Skype. It's been helpful to keep up with Megan even though we are no longer able to meet in person. My favorite thing about Megan's plan is that it's practical and easy to follow. I can still go out to eat and drink wine. With Megan's help I've been able to meet my weight loss goal and keep it off. I cannot recommend her enough! More...

Megan is wonderful to work with! She was accommodating to my difficult schedule, including answering questions and offering tips by email. She took the time to explain good habits and was great taking into account my dietary restrictions. She had been helpful in helping me reach my weight loss goals and I could not recommend her more!
