Meg is an absolutely wonderful wedding photographer and person! We can't say enough great things about our wedding photos or our experience working with her! We knew we wanted documentary photography for our wedding photos and were instantly drawn to Meg's calming energy and the depth of emotion she captured in her photos. Even though my fiance and I are a bit self-conscious in the spotlight and in front of the camera, we felt immediately comfortable around Meg. She is a very kind, warm presence. We were almost never aware that we were being photographed during the ceremony and reception (besides the portrait photos)—she had a remarkable way of being quietly and unobtrusively in the middle of everything, timelessly capturing all of the many layers of love and joy on the best day of our lives. I don't consider myself photogenic. I blink almost constantly, have a good side and a bad side, and my husband is well over a foot taller than me.
When we met with Meg, she assured me that I didn't need to worry about these things. She was absolutely right. My husband and I felt completely at ease and relaxed throughout the whole process of her documenting our wedding. Another reviewer described Meg (who used to be a nurse) as soothing and this was one of the main reasons we hired her. She has such a soft touch in the way that she works with people and in how she captures the emotion of moments both big and small.

So much happens so quickly during a person's wedding. Seeing the reactions of one's family, friends, and each other later is incredibly meaningful and allows you to experience many moments you might have missed the first time. Meg and her second shooter Holly have an amazing knack for finding expressive faces and capturing emotion. We were struck by how many powerful moments and quiet and unexpected details they captured during our ceremony, reception, and in the in-between moments.
(It's worth stressing that unlike some other photographers who are intent only on capturing the couple and their families, Meg got phenomenal shots of our other guests too, which have been a hit with our family and friends. She also got a great photo of the main musician we hired, which he's been able to use for professional purposes.)
Meg will stop at nothing to get striking photos. At one point she was literally running up a hill backwards with a rolling suitcase of photography equipment. She also has some very effective tricks up her sleeves: You will adore her silhouetted-couple-against-the-night-sky shots.Â
My mother, who was skeptical about the idea of hiring a wedding photographer to begin with, called the photos gorgeous, spectacular, and priceless. My dad (like a proud father) called them the most beautiful set of wedding photos he'd ever seen. All this is to say that in the end our families were very glad that we made the investment to hire Meg and that we have these photos for posterity.Â
It was a complete joy to work with Meg from beginning to end, personally and professionally. Our friends adored her work and her as a person too. She and Holly felt more like guests and friends than vendors. She got the highlights video and the whole photo gallery to us quickly, to our delight. Hiring her was the best decision that we made for our wedding. We recommended her to other friends, and they were beyond thrilled and satisfied with her work as well.

Hiring Meg was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. When we met her, we immediately felt comfortable. We spent some time getting to know each other and talking about what we wanted out of our wedding and the photos.
Meg's photojournalism style fit well with what we wanted for our pictures. We're not great at formal pictures (as Meg found out!), and Meg was able to capture the joy and love we felt throughout our day. We also did an engagement session with her, which I think helped us feel more at ease in front of the camera. Meg has such an eye for detail and such a talent for being able to perfectly capture fleeting, emotional moments. We also received our pictures so much sooner than we expected! She will (hopefully!) be our photographer for our important moments in the future as well. We couldn't recommend her more!!

So to start, Meg Brock handled my wedding in March 2019. We hired her and a second shooter for 9 hours. We also hired her for an engagement shoot we did prior. Most of these reviews will talk about Meg's photo work, which as you can tell by the samples below is absolutely incredible. Hiring her is worth it for that alone. What I wanted to talk about was her personality and overall experience. From the moment my wife and I met Meg, she was calm, relaxing and assured us about things on our wedding day.With the way our wedding day was scheduled, we had a little over an hour to kill between the ceremony and photos and the reception and it was Meg's seal of approval that gave us the confidence to go bowling on our wedding day, and as dumb as that sounds, it was an absolute blast to take the whole party. Meg's personality -- the calming demeanor I spoke about earlier -- was especially fantastic during the wedding. The bride was late, and it overlapped into time we were supposed to get the photos done in. Even with a priest giving her countdowns on minutes until we had to leave the church, Meg was extremely calm and helped us get all the posed photos we needed at the church. In short, Meg's photos are fantastic and are worth everything, but it's her demeanor on our wedding day that sets her apart from other photographers you could potentially hire. More...

What can I say about Meg that has not already been said? She was truly the very best and knew exactly what I wanted even though I didn't always know. We have only seen one sneak peak photo from our wedding but it is already my favorite picture, and I have had SO many compliments on it already (including it is wedding-magazine worthy). My family and I received a diagnosis of our son in eutero of Spina Bifida, among other diagnosis. We wanted to capture every moment to be prepared in case the unthinkable would have happened. I reached out to Meg and she was more then happy to accommodate our unusual situation. My son, Austin came earlier then expected and we were unable to photograph his birth as originally planned. But Meg went above and beyond from that point after, she met me at the hospital my son was transferred too and captured our first meeting. Then the day we were cleared to hold him she dropped what she was doing again to com capture that moment for us. Our son has been in the NICU 2 months and she has been an amazing resource to help us capture every moment we can here with him. Recently she came to capture my daughter holding him for the first time and That will be something I treasure forever. We have used Meg for family, engagement and wedding photos. Every photo session she has gone above and beyond our expectations! What really makes Meg special is her ability to bring out emotions from even the smallest moments of your wedding day. Not only do we now have breathtakingly gorgeous photos, but keepsakes that hold many cherished memories. Meg is very talented but also professional and kind. My husband and I (and our dog, Ajax!) were delighted to work with Meg on three separate occasions in 2017 – engagement photos, a small Hindu wedding, and a large western wedding. Meg is absolutely incredible and I look forward to calling her again and again in the coming years for family pictures and special occasions. From our first phone call to receiving prints and thumb drives of our images (beautifully packaged), working with Meg was a pleasure. She is professional, responsive, detail-orientated, and easy going. Meg is great! She's very accommodating and responsive, and she took amazing pictures for us. We contacted Meg the summer before our July 2016 wedding from a recommendation from our venue, the Rose Bank Winery in Newtown. Her pictures were clearly the best of the examples we saw so we set up a meeting. Meeting Meg made it clear that working with her would be a breeze, and after a bit of comparing we decided to go with her. Her work is a bit expensive, but we were willing to splurge for the quality of her pictures. And honestly, we were never let down. She was great at the wedding, and helped us throughout the wedding to organize the day and make sure we got the shots we wanted and got to spend our time with our guests as well-- we never felt like we missed out to take photos. Even though it was about 98 degrees the day we got married, she and her assistants were always helpful and upbeat, and made sure to take the pictures we wanted to take as well as to recommend shots that they liked. My one complaint is how long it took to get the pictures, just because we were so excited to get them. It was about two months before we were able to see our shots. Meg more than made up for it though by sending us nearly 1,000 photos of our wedding day! She sent us a USB with all our shots, as well as an online gallery and a bunch of prints as well! Meg photographed our wedding on 5/14/16. She and her assistant, Ashley, are incredibly easy to work with. From the first moment I met her, I knew Meg would be the perfect fit for us. She has a quiet presence but is assertive and really takes control in order to get the best shot. My husband is a little camera shy and even he felt super comfortable all day. Meg was recommended to me and my husband by our wedding planners. From the day we met Meg she was so helpful and supportive of us!
When we expressed that we weren't really interested in doing the engagement shoot included in the package Meg suggested we do an after wedding session instead because my husband and I weren't going to see each other before the ceremony and we wanted some photos around the city which is one of the BEST things she could have recommended for us. I found from the very beginning Meg had our best interest at heart!
Communicating with Meg was extremely convenient. There was always a quick turn around time when emailing and she was always detailed and clear when discussing any of the topics at hand. She made me feel extremely confident in relaxing and relying on her to get all of the shots I wanted without me having to think twice about it on our wedding day.
On our wedding day all I can say is Meg went above and beyond. Due to circumstances beyond our control the ceremony got started late and instead of starting around dusk while it was light out, it was completely dark. While I was panicking (internally) Meg sort of pulled me aside and ensured me that everything was beautiful and that she could get the pictures regardless and DID SHE EVER! Meg captured THE most magical, romantic photos of my wedding. She has the ability to see beauty in things that only an amazing photographer can. Everyone who has seen our wedding photos has commented on how amazing the quality of the photos are! Her work speaks for itself but I can attest that Meg is one of the BEST decision I made with regards to vendors for my wedding. Not everyday can you find someone who is as nice and humble as Meg while BRINGING it with their work! Not to mention she's affordable! We love Meg and her work and look forward to working with her in the future. We will never work with another photographer :)

I saw megs work on the facebook profile of a friend of mines wedding and I loved it from the second I seen her pics. The two things I noticed right away was the beautiful bride and groom portraits, Secondly I noticed the candid shots of the kids and many other people at the wedding.
I have been to many weddings in the past few years and Ive seen brides get stressed out with getting pulled for many photos and stopped by their photographers during their wedding and that wasn't what I wanted. I am also a picture fanatic, so I defiantly wanted all the shots I could get and did want to leave a thing out. So I wanted a good balance, little did I know, I didn't have to worry with Meg.
I sent her one list prior to my wedding, of portraits I wanted, because I saw her work and know it was a lot of candid shots, so I wanted to make sure I got those portraits too.
She didn't miss a beat and was so calm and easy to talk to. Every bride gets a little last minute stress, but every time I spoke to her, she had such a calming reassuring effect. She got every portrait and candid shot I could have imagined. She also took photos of all the details at the church and reception hall, that I didn't really get to appreciate the day/night of the wedding.
I barely knew she was there, but she got every shot and some. She pulled us out for a few minutes of the reception to get a nice quick sunset session and once toward the end of the night for a nighttime session, probably about 5 minutes each, and that was all we needed. These are things you don't think of when you are caught up in the moment!
I can not say enough about her and her work.
My photos came in the other day, and I could not be happier, her prices were affordable, especially for the quality and skill of this photographer. You can tell she is just a natural, I will never recommend anyone else. People who have seen my pictures so far have commented that they are the best wedding photos they've ever seen! Thanks Meg!!!

From the moment I took one look at Meg's photos, I knew we had to book her for our wedding. She was just right for our budget and the quality of her work is stunning.
