Had a fun lunch in the parking lot!  Everyone here is so nice and so accommodating!  They have created a friendly atmosphere - food is great and the service outstanding. Met a new server, "Mo Mo" and she and Monica took excellent care of us!  They are like family!  Love this place! More...

This place is the absolute best. I always have the best service, food and drinks. Everyone is so sweet, funny and caring, and helpful. Adam is the best bartender I've ever had and the servers are the sweetest. Personally I think it's the best food In town. A great little community in the center of Carlsbad village. This bar is definitely one of my favorites. More...

7 friends and me at a bar getting food and drinks, one of my friends asked to split the bill. Waitress was very nice and it took her some time to split bills because they had no computer system. - The bartender or maybe owner, told me, " hey it's 2020 you should all Venmo or PayPal and make it easier! " and he gave me thumbs down.- I said, " well we tipped your waitress well and I gave 100% tip, because it was not my choice to split that bill and I understand it! "The customers at the bar was impressed I gave 100% tip! The bartender said " it's not about the tip " and I'm like well whatever I won't come back here! I feel so sorry for that waitress to work with an as***le who doesn't even respect his customers. This is one of my new go to spots! My husband and I though we would try somewhere new and came in here on a Saturday night for post-dinner drinks. They had some good beers on tap and the bartenders were super friendly. I loved the music, too!It was a little divey, which is right up our alley, and they surprisingly have amazing food. Since we had just eaten, we didn't order much, but the plates of pasta coming out looked amazing! My husband ordered the chicken strips because he can never resist those and those were good too. Can't wait to come back for the pasta! More...

The G Spot is a Carlsbad Village staple.  If you like Mas Fina Cantina, you'll like the G Spot.  Some of the same cooks work in both places and the food is similar.  The drinks are fairly priced and you get a solid pour.  You have to appreciate the G for what is it.  I say with great affection that it's  a local neighborhood dive bar, similar to Cantina, so as long as you know what you're visiting you will be pleasantly surprised with how good the food is especially for a bar.  Everything will taste good, especially some of their mexican food items like Posole.  They make pretty good Bloody's and the pour is strong on pretty much all drinks.  The waitresses are friendly, but if it gets busy on a Sunday don't freak out when it takes 30 minutes to get your food, or when your breakfast comes but your toast doesn't make it.  This is what happens at times, it's not fine dining, but if you're looking for a place for good food, good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere, the G Spot is as good a place as any.  Easy to find, on the east end of Grand Avenue in Carlsbad Village.
