This is my first apartment since moving to Los Angeles, and I am happy to have gone to MCM Property Management. Candice was really communicative with me and was quick to respond to emails and pending questions during the application process. I’ve been living in the same quad , in the Fairfax district, for ruffly 15 years. I’ve had now 3 management companies in that time frame. MCM has been the new management company for a little over a year. Ultimately I believe it’s the little things, the subtle, often times unoticed moves that make the greatest impact when living in an apartment. MCM, for me, has been making all the right moves. The gardening crew are not only ladscape experts, but they are incredibly quite and effective. When something in our place needs fixing, it’s been done within 48 hours (really 24), and that is a rare thing in this city. But perhaps the biggest shift has been with the garbage, a subject that gets uniticed, just like the garbage men of this city. But when your living within a small radius of living space, the garbage cans and the trash really has impact. This new group has been exceptional. Organized, clean, and right on time. I would like to commend the owner's of this great property.......The way the facility is keap during the inclined wheather we have experienced this winter the hallways are spotless and the maintenance guy (ERIC) is always helpful to any issues that my family has there keep up the great work. My family and I are new to the area and were completely lost in finding a home. We found MCM Property Management, Inc through google and are very happy with their services. We were told to contact Brenda as she is the leasing contact and she scheduled us in to view numerous homes all in one trip on short notice! I love my aprartment! I love the coming home to it each and every day. My only constructive criticism is that my heater until just last week had been a problem for almost three years. Not sure why the thermostat was the last thing to think of when people came out to look. Also, I would love the screens put back on my living room windows which have been without since the paint job. And while I love the new paint job and the addition of the recycle bin, there are other general things of general up keep that always seem to be on the fritz...the parking lot gate and the broken bulb in my hallway in front of my apt. The latter has been out for over two weeks and is the second time in 6 months. The first time it was almost a month before I finally had to ask someone to fix a bulb in a public space. Again - Overall ... I LOVE MY APT! I just wish there was a consistent sense of urgency when things breakdown or issues need to be communicated (like me never hearing about the change in the gate code until after the fact). More...

I have always had a good report with MCM, who responds promptly when emergency repairs are needed. They take all maintenance requests serious and strive to accommodate the needs of the tenants within reason while maintaining an amicable disposition.

I lived at an MCM Property (1211 N Ogden Drive) for the past 5 years and just moved out to live with my boyfriend downtown (otherwise I would still be there). My time there was great, it was clean and full of plants and flowers. They always decorate the building for the holidays and i feel like that is a nice touch. Haim (the manager) was so friendly and helpful. Anytime I called about maintenance issues, they were quick to respond. It's a great building to live in and a safe neighborhood, I always felt comfortable there and everyone there is friendly. It is an old building so sometimes when they work on the plumbing, your water can be brown for a moment. I know they have been upgrading all the apartments though so they continue to better the property. My unit was charming with a balcony, built in cabinets and storage and the closet in my room spanned 1 wall (pretty big). I would definitely recommend living here and would rent from this managment company again given the opportunity. More...

I have been very happy recently with the response to my dishwasher issues and Christian Taylor, taking over for Candice has been very helpful and has kept me informed via email very well. The dishwasher is supposed to be replaced this Friday so we will see if that goes well. I have lived at Martel Manor for 9 yrs and it wasn't updated/renovated or cleaned before I moved in so things are old, the stoves are old the bathrooms and kitchen tile is gross. I still have a ceiling tile missing from the air conditioning unit leaking and soaking the tile and then it disintegrates. It keeps happening and no one has been able to fix the leaking and when it's running it is so loud. But it is much better living there since MCM has started managing the property and having an emergency contact if something really bad is happens. More...

Christian was helpful and listened to everything I had to say. He called me back quickly and gave me his contact email as well. There have been other service representatives who were not nearly as helpful or understanding in the past. When my sink was broken, I was told to fix it myself because all the other tenants are willing to do so . I looked at so many apartments before I found Jesse and MCM's building. I was delightfully surprised by it's warmth and charm. These apartments are clean and well maintained. Thank you for promptly repairing/replacing the dimmer/light switch for the ceiling in my bedroom. It has a terrific night light feature when off which makes it so easy to find in the dark. Martin also provided a replacement shower head which is working beautifully. I greatly appreciate the very prompt response. I too, have found MCM a PLEASURE to deal with! Perhaps it would behoove some tenants to get to know people before throwing complaints and insults at them? I make a point of going into the office in person to pay my rent. It's a way to get people to know you, and connect a face with a name and unit number. When I moved into my apartment four years ago it was the dead of winter and my heater was not working! They showed up here with space heaters for me to use while a brand new furnace/air conditioner was being installed! Typical plumbing repairs are done within a few hours, unless you are unlucky enough to have your dishwasher break on New Years Eve. That required a wait until TODAY because repair contractors were not open.
MCM has always returned my calls in a timely fashion and I can't even think of going back to OWNING a home after this kind of service!
So, maybe some people need to start speaking through a smile, and wait more than two hours for a plumber before ragging on the management.
My advice: Buy a home and call a plumber. Try it. You will be back here before long. I also suggest you rent from my FORMER landlord for a while. That will help you see the BIG PICTURE as they say.

My kitchen sink was backed up last night...all the way to the brim and about ready to overflow. I haven't even cooked one meal in the apt. , let alone wash anything. I called MCM last night and I have to say they were ON IT. Got me a plumber in an hour. I was impressed. Plumber says sink was clogged with grease, a lot of grease. I moved into my MCM apartment in October of 2010, and since my move I have nothing but positive things to say about the company.

During my initial apartment hunt and move in, the staff was friendly, professional, and prompt with each process of the lease agreement--making the move quick and easy. Obviously, each new home has its share of fix-ups and problems, but the staff at MCM has since responded quickly to each of my requests and fixed whatever problems the apartment has had.

I feel very comfortable calling MCM when I have a question or concern, and I could not be happier to be living where I live with MCM management.

!Never had any problems with MCM. We love Melissa at the main office! She's been so nice to us. We're going on our second year and have never had any issues with them. I call and within hours I get a call back. I have everyones emails, so sometimes it makes it easier for us to communicate this way and I always get things taken care of.
We'll be upgrading to a 2 bedroom very soon too and it'll be an MCM property for sure.
