It's a McAlister's. It is always fine. Never spectacular, but also never terrible. I always feel like my food is pretty good. It's priced at about $10-12 per person if you also get a drink. Most things come with a side as well. Their tea is good and comes in really big cups with free refills. Kids meals are $.99 if you eat them there, and that's always a selling point. This is one of the better McAlister's in the area. It flows better than some I've been to, and it doesn't usually feel crowded. Still 5 stars such a yummy deli..this time I got half a salad and turkey sandwich..but I was a pig and wanted the other half of the sandwich so I got another. .next time i will get the whole sandwich to begin with.. the bread is so tasty..my hubby got a cranberry club and thick tasty cheddar brocolli soup..when I got my second half it came with baked potato which he ate and was very good..then we got 2 brownies..yes we overdid it.. but we love it here and wish they had back home.. Worked at one when I was in college, me u has grown a bit but still has the staple of sandwiches, soups and spuds. I ordered lunch from them yesterday on Grubhub. Â I got the black Angus club sandwich with steamed broccoli and a pickle ($9,79), a garden salad ($5. 99), a brownie ($3.09), and a Barq's root bear ($2.69). Â The sales tax was $1.26, the delivery fee was $2.79, the service fee was $4.69, and the driver's tip was $5.94. Â The meal arrived to my location on Franconia (about haflway between Van Dorn and Telegraph). Â The driver was friendly. Â The sandwich had brown whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon, in addition to the Angus steak. Â The salad was a large serving with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and croutons. Â I finished it later for dinner. Â All of the ingredients were fresh. Â The service fee and the delivery fee should have been combined if they were to be charged at all. I love this establishment! Â The service is great and Thomas and Mike are just awesome managers and really care about their customers. Â The restaurant is always clean and the food is very good with a lot of variety. Â Absolutely perfect for lunch! I've got to say this. Â My fucking sandwich was awesome!!! Â I don't know if I've just been having sandwich withdrawals or what but damn that was a bad ass French Dip sandwich! That was delicious! I ordered the Savannah salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing, sweet tea and chocolate chip cookie. The salad is huge ! And no one has a better sweet tea and chocolate chip cookie. If you're a fan of baked potatoes, McAlister's also offers great options.I'm staying overnight in Columbus and McAlister's offered delivery for a small fee, plus tip (making it about $5 more than picking it up). The online ordering system was easy to understand and gave me an opportunity to include requests. My two requests were delivered - nice!GrubHub brought it to me direct to my door within the estimated time. I also was able to use the Yelp app to see a live status on my order. McAlister's sandwiches and soups are pretty awesome  :) I've done the rueban which was excellent (really big), my boyfriend gets the New Yorker every time because he loves it, aand today I tried the spicy turkey melt with cream of mushroom soup. The soup at McAlister's is better than Panera's. It's so thick and delicious I've never had a bad soup there. My bf got Mac and cheese for the first time there and it was really good:) I've never had the nachos or spuds or salads but I know you can never go wrong with a sandwich, soup, sweet tea, or Mac and cheese. I took my kids to try McAlister's Deli for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. It was very good food, very comparable to Panera Bread. To start with the negatives: The kids meals are too small, not worth the price, I recommend ordering a normal size meal for the kids. They get full and you don't spend much more honestly. The other negative was that the kids meals didn't come with a drink, in very fine print they charge you almost $2 to add one! A mistake I definitely learned from a $6 up-charge later. They also fine print the almost $3 up charge for adding soup to a meal. My bill ended up being pretty pricey without me realizing why until I got an itemized receipt. My bad though, always read the fine print, right?The positives are many: Even though they charge so much for kid drinks, the cups are ones they can take home and the straws are fun which the kids loved. There are lots of options for vegetarians, which made my daughter and I both happy. Their veggie sandwich is SO good. They have loads of different types of veggies instead of just cucumber and tomato like most sandwich shops. The grilled cheese was delectable and the broccoli cheddar soup was divine. Frankly, it was probably worth the up-charge. The Mac and cheese was really good, not the kraft junk most places serve. Last but certainly not least, the service was great. Very kind employees. Always good for a quick lunch. I don't think I've ever had bad food or service from any McAlister's  and I do find them to have better food and variety overall than competitors. On this particular visit I had the choose two lunch trying the new Roasted Mushroom soup and the McAlister's club. You can't really mess up a club but theres is a little something better than most club sandwiches. The roasted mushroom soup was very good and I love mushrooms but this soup needed a little more soupiness to it and a slightly bit less mushroom slices. Great place for a midday lunch where you don't necessarily want to pig out but want to be filled. They have a variety of custom sandwiches from your classic ham 'n cheese to sandwiches featuring cuts of brisket. A little pricey, but the quality is high as well so there is a fair exchange. This is a great spot for an easy, but satisfying lunch. I've been here on three occasions, and I can say I enjoyed their McAllister and King club sandwiches the most. Here's why go to 'this' location.I'm not necessarily a fan of this franchise but this location is an exception.Why? location, location, location. It's a great meet up spot, right off I-77 and David Lyle Blvd.So many easy landmarks to locate nearby.They have a great selection of health salad & soup options.It's easy in and out ordering, you pay & they bring the food to your table.They have a patio, a big patio, so big it wraps around the building.You can sit outside, it's quiet, you can have a conversation, enjoy the weather and relax.When you park, you can use the sidewalk to the left as you enter and access the patio without going through the main part of the building.A great location for lunch with plenty of free parking, friendly and helpful staff and reasonable prices. First time here and I will be back...good food and service. Went in about 1045 so they were still counting drawers but then quickly took my order. When I first walked in it was very clean and there wasn't a long line at all. At the front I asked the server which she thought was the best thing between the options that I like and I really enjoyed the suggestions that she gave. My sweet chipotle chicken sandwich had very soft bread. It wasn't toasted but the bread was very tasty. The sandwich itself had a sweetness to but was not overly sweet. The Mac&cheese was pretty standard. It wasn't like Mama's but I did enjoy it. It doesn't have a baked taste to it so expect creamy Mac&cheese. The mushroom soup was something I enjoyed as well but one of the people that worked there said that some people like it and some don't. It could use more flavor but I think it could definitely work for most palates. I also had a chocolate chip cookie that was ok but not the greatest cookie. I prefer a softer moist cookie. The service here was fantastic! Â We sat outside on the patio which was very nice, and the server brought our food out to us, and offered to take our cups for refill. Â Very nice! Â Their sweet tea is my favorite in the area. Â I tried the chicken bacon spud (baked potato) and I couldn't believe the portion size. Â It comes with butter and sour cream.
