What’s your signature dish?
The traditional way to make Yucatecan cochinita pibil is to bury a pig in a steaming, smouldering, stone-lined pit and cook it slowly for many hours. The pork was first marinated with a bright red paste of achiote seeds, garlic, spices, and bitter orange juice and then wrapped in banana leaves. This tender meat is pulled and served simply in its juices with hot tortillas and pickled onion.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?

What do you love most about your job?
Home, family, and food have always been passionately important to me. My own mom was a great “from-scratch” Mayan cook who taught me at her side in the kitchen. I was hooked when I made my first Cochinita Pibil. Our mission is to provide home-style meals for you would help bring your family back to the table.

Mayan Kitchen aims to provide our guests with a unique cultural experience while serving authentic Mayan cuisine.
