Maya was great to work with! She is extremely responsive, positive, and informative. She helped me understand nutrition basics and how to put together meals that were flexible, but still healthy. I really appreciated that she even helped me look at restaurant menus to figure out what choices to make there. Working with Maya has been amazing! For me has been always hard to control my diet unless I have a frequent meeting with a nutritionist. Maya has really helped me understand my body and the importance of my daily choices and how I can live a healthy live without feeling I'm on a diet. I've worked with her for 2 months, and the results are great! Slow and steady weight loss without feeling extremely restricted. I've been able to go on vacation and enjoy every second of it, eating delicious meals, and making better choices. I really recommend Maya! I'll be working with her for a longer time! More...

I worked with Maya for two months in Spring of 2019, and I have achieved great results. This was the first time I worked with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and I think it makes a big difference having a professional help you with your goals. Maya's approach is simple to follow, provides good foundation and understanding of nutrition and does not create any artificial constraints for one's eating. While I thought I knew a lot about nutrition before I started working with her, I definitely learned a lot when she explained how certain products or serving size guidelines can be deceiving. Maya is very responsive and helps you through the entire process with great suggestions and recommendations for each meal. Maya was such an important resource in my journey. I've been struggling with a digestive disorder for about 5 years and a constant issue with weight and self confidence. Maya helped me learn to prioritize the basics of the science. She boiled it down to finding balance in my diet and provided amazing resources off of that. She is extremely supportive to your goals and I appreciated she kept relating my goals back to the core basics. It's where I realized where I was going wrong, and she helped me get out of my head, where I often fell and where we often fall throughout this process. Maya is excellent. I had never worked with a nutritionist before and went to Maya when I was feeling very lost regarding nutrition, weight management and general health after a very tough year. She is extremely responsive and gave me a lot of recipes, a general portion/eating guide, gave me specific recommendations for restaurants and we had a weekly check in. She completely changed my outlook on what to eat and I lost 8 pounds in under two months without exercising on a regular basis and just focusing on what I put into my body. More...

I was very happy with my experience with Maya.  She is very informative and does a great job with breaking down the reasoning and explanations for me to understand.  I've only worked with her for 3 weeks and I already found a nutrition routine that is surprisingly easy for me to incorporate into my life style.  She's also super positive and easy to talk to; I never felt ashamed to be honest with her if I didn't stick to the plan on certain days.  I'm still learning how to balance life and food, but with Maya's help and guidance I know I am on the right track.  I highly recommend checking her out for at least her 3 week program, if not longer! I met with Maya in order to tackle some work travel-related weight gain and am so glad I did! Maya was super helpful in figuring out a plan that would work for my hectic schedule (even when traveling! ) and I saw results almost immediately. She also provided fantastic support by offering opinions on meals and providing restaurant recommendations. Maya is amazing! Whether you need advice as to what to order at a restaurant (she will literally go over any menu that is sent to her), what to eat at home for meals and snacks, or what items to buy at the grocery store (including her favorite brands - which were all great), she is always available to give suggestions and advice. She offers a variety of options, so you do not feel like you are on a strict diet. Additionally, she is incredibly approachable and easy to connect with, which made sessions enjoyable and something I looked forward to. I highly recommend her services! More...

We planned a Nutrition Session for over 50 employees with Maya and she was extremely great to work with! Her quick responsiveness and enthusiasm for our company and our goals made planning an event with her seamless. From the wellness topics to the level of interaction throughout the session, Maya customized the Nutrition Session to our needs. Her high energy and expertise in balancing a healthy lifestyle while working a full-time job resonated extremely well with our team. We had the highest turnout for this event and the best response from all of our employees! We saw an immediate positive effect in our office from Maya's work, such as a team starting a hydration challenge to encourage them to reach the daily recommended intake of water. Additionally, she supplied us with an extensive list of resources and recipes for our employees to use to improve their knowledge and lifestyle habits. The best decision I ever made for myself health wise was deciding to work with Maya! I had regularly been doing high intensity workouts but I was still gaining weight and getting increasingly frustrated. I thought I was eating healthy and I was following weight loss tricks that had worked in my mid-20's, but those didn't work anymore. I also thought I would never be able to lose weight unless I became a really good chef, but my busy schedule just didn't allow for it. I knew I had to do something and I needed something one-on-one, so I did research and found Maya! From the instant I started working with her, I could tell she was going to make a difference in my health. Not once did she tell me to drastically change my life, she took time to understand my schedule and background and come up with a very personalized plan that fit into my life! My mind was actually kind of blown when we discussed some of the small changes I could make to my diet that would make a HUGE difference. No matter how many blogs or Pinterest boards I followed, I would have never realized these small changes were the changes that my body needed.Maya's approach is very hands-on and helps you tackle challenges like eating at a restaurant! During our sessions we went through menus of my favorite places to eat and determined what was best for me. And if I was going somewhere we didn't discuss, I would just shoot her an email and she would let me know the best options for me! This, along with texting Maya pictures of my meals to get feedback was incredibly helpful!A month and a half in, I have lost weight (!!) and I feel SO much better! My clothes fit better, I am getting compliments and my general outlook about my weight/health is positive. I feel so good about the changes I made working with Maya - I know this will be a permanent change in my life. I reached a turning point where I was either going to have buy an entire new wardrobe or finally loose some weight, which I had gradually been putting on despite what I thought was a healthy mostly-vegetarian diet. I thought continuing my lifestyle of eating out nearly 4 nights a week, drinking wine, and a crazy busy work schedule while losing weight would be impossible...Until Maya! My plan was totally individualized - she reviewed menus of restaurants  I was going to and sent me healthy options and modifications to order, and she put together sample meals with food I already had in my fridge. She is a modern dietician - I could text her pictures of anything I was eating and she would give feedback in real time. Most importantly, she helped me realize the outstanding social pressure I was under that was keeping me in a rut (baked goods at work, free samples everywhere, social pressure from family to eat unhealthily, french fries on my husband's plate) and equipped and empowered me with the skills to have better self-control and awareness. So far it's been about 2 months and I've lost 15 pounds with minor tweaks to my diet and steadfast, never-judgmental support from Maya. My clothes fit better, people are noticing, and I feel amazing! I attended the Nutrition @ Chill interactive nutrition workshop that Maya led earlier this spring (on actual Cinco de Mayo, no less) and was impressed by Maya's personable demeanor and straightforward approach to the often overwhelming world of nutrition. Fast forward a couple of months, when I decided to reach out to Maya for a one-on-one consultation. Although I am active, the manner in which I fuel myself, with its occasional emphasis on sugar and Cheetos to get me through low-energy slumps, was not optimal. I decided to meet with Maya last week. The booking process was seamless and Maya was very responsive over email. I walked away with specific dietary recommendations and more concrete strategies for the daily challenges that I face. I felt encouraged by Maya's commonsense approach (no crazy juice cleanses or food restrictions here) and did not feel judged when I was describing my eating routine. The recommendations that I received were implementable and even inspired me to add in some more produce variety to my usual grocery list, which so often is on autopilot. The pricing structure I feel is reasonable for the value that is offered, and I did not experience any upselling as so often is the case. I highly recommend Maya to anyone looking for a personalized nutrition plan. More...
