I love a good steak and Matt's Steakhouse delivered a perfectly cooked filet Mignon. My salad that I got with it was very good, my baked potato was good but served at room temperature. Still, overall a great meal. My waiter Justin, was extraordinary. I honestly could see him scoring points at a high end restaurant in Chicago. That being said , dining alone is an experience that has to learned after spending years dining with someone you love. Here at Matt's Steakhouse I was of course ushered to the smallest table in the place and after driving all day I would have loved a booth with a comfortable seat. Perhaps they were expecting a crowd rush... that did not happen. The loud waitress came in at full volume making sure everyone knew her, but no crowd. 80% of the tables were still empty when I was leaving. Still, if you like a good steak and a decent glass of wine this place is great. Ask for Justin, he's a really sweet guy who has a bright future!Just an update, I forgot my jacket here at Matt's, I called right away and was told that they would mail it to me. I told the young lady that I spoke that as soon as I received my jacket that I would mail twenty dollars back upon receiving it. But I never received it. I am disappointed that they wouldn't mail it to me, it was brand new and I have the matching shirt. See my pretty jacket on the back of my chair. Also please notice my tip. We scored a last minute reservation on the day our son graduated. Service was friendly Swift and we'll timed. Our drinks never ran dry and the food was great. My fiance and I decided to try this restaurant last night as our kick off dinner for vacation. We could not have made a better decision! ! Our server, Brigete, was very punctual, attentive and all around done a phenomenal job!! The food, what can I possibly say We began with the crab stuffed mushrooms....... DELICIOUS!! For our main course Jackie ordered the Ribeye with the garlic mash potatoes and I ordered the 8 oz fillet with the loaded baked potato...... THIS STEAK MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH!! First time customer, will definitely return again. I ordered a 12 oz Ribeye Medium, with grilled onions and mushrooms on top. AMAZING! it was all so very good. The Signature salad started things off along with yummy breadsticks... the wait for the steaks wasn't long at all and the place was pretty full. Perfect service from Melissa who was our server.
