Matcom Office Of Protective Services opened its doors on January 17, 2017. The purpose of the Matcom Office Of Protective Services is to provide protective services to areas that need it the most. Matcom Office Of Protective Services has various integrative systems and divisions to effectively combat the war on crime and domestic terrorism in our communities. Hence Matcom Office Of Protective Services was born.

Services

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
Assist people in need
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
Monitor the entrance of vehicles or people on the property
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
Provide assistance to people in need
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Understand when to contact SOC, PD, client, or management
Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving

Daily monitor all video footage to ensure the safety of our individuals and employees
Daily equipment checks to ensure that all cameras are in working order and footage is available
Keep written logs of any questionable activities captured by the video cameras and report these activities to the Chief Operating Officer
Maintain confidentiality of records
Preparing and modifying documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel
Review vehicle maintenance logs for accuracy
Reviewing daily transactions at fuel stations and cross-referencing vehicle location with GPS reports
Organize and scan documents into appropriate folders on the server

Deploy and patrol with K-9 at assigned work sites
Conduct routine and prescribed searches utilizing the K-9
Maintain K-9 Team training standards
Administrative duties, such as but not limited to, cost tracking, accident/incident reports, daily activity logs, training logs, and vehicle maintenance logs
Maintain an expansive and contemporary knowledge in K-9 tactics
Liaison with clients, senior corporate staff, and Matcom field management
Develop and deliver K-9 demonstrations to new clients and the general public
National travel, as necessary
Maintain K-9 team certifications as required by Matcom

Receives requests for emergency services via telephone, radio, and computer.
Accurately and quickly enters into a computer or records manually information needed to dispatch according to established protocol.
Supplies additional information to appropriate dispatch points as required.
Logs, manually or electronically, calls for dispatch handled and actions taken.
Receives and handles requests for non-emergency assistance and information.
Relays information or requests to other jurisdictions or agencies via radio or telephone.
Provides first aid and basic life support instructions to callers from established guidelines.
Operates radio transmitter and receiver to dispatch fire, police, or EMS personnel and equipment to life or property-threatening emergency and non-emergency situations.
Determines and coordinates response of equipment according to established protocol.
Monitors and accurately records status and location of units electronically or manually.
Supplies and/or relays information to appropriate Fire, EMS, and Police elements. Monitors Fire/EMS or Police calls of adjacent jurisdictions.
Uses a variety of computer systems to access sensitive information pertaining to motor vehicle registrations and warrants.
Uses maps and other reference materials when necessary to determine correct location of response.

Occupy a 24-hour visitor’s desk and provide support on weekends and/or holidays, working an 8-hour shift (days or nights); act as a fill-in on weekdays as needed.
Monitor CCTV system, watch for irregularities and report suspicious activity or emergencies to the Senior CPSO
Investigate alarms and assist the SSO and/or Senior CPSO in resolving alarm system malfunctions
Sound the alarm in cases of emergencies and notify the necessary personnel and/or authorities
Perform all visitor access procedures including, developing daily access lists, greeting visitors, validating visitor identity, issuing visitor badges, and coordinating visitor activity
Complete and maintain all visitor logs and databases. Conduct and log random entry/exit inspections, inventory badges at shift turnover, and provide discrepancy reports
Maintain the Digital Monitoring Product (DMP) alarm system and update logs to show/delete users, enter or remove personnel from the DMP alarm box as necessary
Develop, maintain, and train personnel in facility opening and closing procedures
Issue Datawatch cards to personnel, track cards, and update logs when issued and returned
Conduct random patrols around the facility
Perform escort duties when required
