I had a membership here that just ended after a year and have just finished my last massage. I didn't have any of the problems the other commenters had. The place is clean as far as I could tell and front desk staff was always kind even when I showed up really late to an appointment. The only drawback is the membership program because you can't just cancel it at any time if you don't want it or if your finances change. So you're basically stuck for a year unless you move a certain number of miles away from a Massage Envy location (which is close to impossible). My husband and I each had a great experience at the Norwalk location. Folks at the front desk were very nice and our therapists, Vanessa and Amanda were fantastic! I had Vanessa and felt very comfortable with her at once. She gave a firm, strong and fluid massage. Her hands were instinctive, working on my muscles in the way each one needed treatment. She was also generous with advice on the best way to take care of my muscles in between massages. My husband said that Amanda gave a great massage, she was strong and very attentive. Vanessa is the best massage therapist ever! She's thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable. Keeping a monthly massage appointment has helped alleviate stress aches immensely. The facility is clean, quiet, and has a great front desk staff. Recommend this location. More...

Massage Envy is the best, I've been a member for almost 3 years and in that time had only one massage to complain about and when I did tell management about it they gave me a complimentary massage to make up for it.  The massage  therapists are awesome, they know what my body needs even when I don't, I come out of every massage feeling amazing and so relaxed . I called last night to see if they had any last minute openings for a prenatal massage as I am due any day now and was having a lot of back pain. I received a call this morning and was able to get an appointment for this morning. The front desk, massage therapist, and all the staff I encountered were nothing but friendly and professional. The five stars here are specifically for Carlos - I've had other therapists there who don't dig in deep and are not worth the money. Carlos is, hands down, the best. When he works my back, he finds all the trouble spots and works intensely on them  - he does a great job of loosening the knots in my back. (I've had other therapists here who never even bother to find the trouble spots and just wipe their hands up and down my back like a rolling pin.) I love this place my awesome friend had given me 1 o0f her messages, because I had a lot of personal issues going on and she thought this would help get my mind off of things, and it most certainly did. They we so professional and welcoming just what I needed at that point the message technician was amazing and knew just how to read my body which blew me away. I went for the first time (to any Massage Envy) and saw Christine.  She is a CCMT graduate and it showed.  She was professional and knew exactly what she was doing. I prefer to have only CCMT graduates since they get a very thorough education and know what they are doing. I have a back injury and wicked tension in my neck and shoulders (as we all do) and she did a great job focusing in these areas and taking care.The front desk staff was super friendly and kind.  For $59 I think it's a great deal.  I need to go often and don't need to pay well over $100 for the whole spa experience.  I just need the massage and to get better.  The sheets were a tad worn (note, a tad) but other than that I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.  I wouldn't approach it as a spa.  It's certainly not a spa so if you go in expecting the Red Door, for example, you will be greatly disappointed.  If you go in expecting a professional massage and nothing else, then you will be pleased (at least if you see Christine!)Side note, they expect a tip on the full price of the massage ($96) and not the discounted price for members ($59).  I didn't realize they considered the member price a discounted price and wasn't expecting it.  Not a big deal just something to know ahead of time on how their pricing and expectations go. I am editing my previous review as it seems things are up and rolling now. The staff and facilities were great. That shopping mall is always a pain to get in and out of,but otherwise all was good
