Its a decent Indian restaurant with nice North Indian food, slightly pricey and not so bad ambience. Its one of the places I frequent a lot because of the proximity to my work. They serve both North and South Indian food. Their North Indian food is pretty good, however heard pretty negative reviews about the South Indian food. This is a great DOSA house! They offer some classic South Indian dishes which is definitely difficult to find in Newark and even parts of North Jersey. The few dishes that I have had been absolutely amazing and some of the other items are less than satisfactory. My top favorites are ALL of the DOSA dishes, tried a majority of them mysore masala dosa is my favorite because it has a perfect blend of spice so for people who like spice, this is a super subtle kick of spice. For someone like me who absolutely loves spicy food, this was perfect and honestly not super spicy. So a DOSA is basically like an Indian crepe that is in this regard savory. So its a super thin crepe that is spiced and in the middle there is a ball of curried potatoes. You eat it all with your hands and can dip a little bit of crepe with potatoes into the mint chutney or coconut chutney that comes complementary in this dish. Usually, this is served with a piping hot cup of sambal (vegetarian stew).Other favorites include this dish that is an appetizer that is fried onions which are also served with a side of mint chutney and wow it's so perfect. Its similar to the Outback blooming onion but it's not in that bowl like shape but fried onion shreds which is soo good with mint chutney. Very good food! We've been hitting all of the food we can get to before we are stuck eating books and snack food.  We were a group of 10. Everyone found the right level of spice and we liked everything.  The portions could have been bigger. It was fine for me, but I don't eat much. Great customer service and selection of food. Great lunch specials and they were very helpful when I couldn't figure out what papadum was awesome. We gave them another try - went to dine in the restaurant. We came here just before their closing time, but they were nice enough to serve us. The food was amazing and the service was great! We ordered biryani, malai kofta, veg hakka noodles and all the dishes were very flavorful. Came across this place by chance when we were very hungry and looking for a good indian restaurant. The food was amazing. Amazing food at an amazing prize here in Newark! Clean restaurant, hearty food, and a caring staff. This is my first review on Yelp, so that should tell you how much I enjoyed it here. Their lunch buffet is what I come here for and the price is more than reasonable for what you get. I recommend the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, biryani, and butter naan (all for which i got for less than $15, pictured here but half eaten), but their veggie dishes are just as good! I went here while in downtown Newark and the food was amazing. I LOVED the buffet.  I could chose what I wanted to eat because I am not familiar with Indian food so really can't order them by name. Delivery from Uber Eats was very fast and the food was still warm and tasted good. Some sauce had leaked and the brown bag that the food was in was a little torn and leaking. But I got to my apartment with minimal damage and we enjoyed it. Nice to have a local place for delivery, options in this area can be limited. I have been eating here for a few weeks now and can very comfortably say that its probably one of the best Indian restaurants in the newark / Jersey city area. All of the chicken entrees I have tried here have been really good and my favorite one has been the Chettinad chicken. The breads (rotis / naans) are incredible and one of the reasons why I think its one of the better Indian restaurants. If you're a fan of South-Indian food, I would highly recommend trying the dosas here. And if you would like something more, do ask the chef for some south Indian specials! Been here with coworkers numerous times. Very friendly staff and fast delivery. I usually get hakka noodles and chicken masala to go or the buffet which has great flavors for all the dishes not like other indian restaurants that have bland similar flavors. Ive had the goat curry, chicken masala, chicken chettinad - all flavorful as hell. The mango lassi is one of the best. All the veg dishes ive had are amazing and im more of a meat eater myself. Every time I've been here not only has the staff been polite, accommodating and friendly, but I have always left content and happy with my food! If you are looking for great, fresh Indian food in the Newark area, be sure to stop by! Also give the sandwiches/salads a try! I have been eating at this place quite a number of times of late. Most of the time I had is to go lunch box. They do keep a lot of variety both veg and non veg. I personally like the chicken 555 which they make. The biryanis are good too. Have not yet tried any of there dosa items yet. Suggestion: For breakfast can you start making wada, mysore bajjis, upma with fresh coconut chutneys. Also don't see poori as an item.
