Mary is HORRIBLE, MEAN SPIRITED, RUDE, and her business practice is a SCAM!! I see here that there are COUNTLESS negative reviews literally saying the SAME THING that I just experienced;
but unfortunately I was not able to read these reviews prior to trying to use her services. As I was given a Groupon gift card by my 80 year old MOM — who isn’t as tech savvy to read the fine print and not know she would be taken advantage of by Mary’s business that would rip her off for the $300 that my elder Mom paid to try to give me and my daughter and me massage and facial services as a Christmas gift!!
I have been trying to set an appointment for 4 days with Mary — who only claims that she has no record of the purchase and because she can’t find it in our computer, then that basically means it doesn’t exist and “maybe someone already used it?“ I explained to Mary that I have the exact email from HER which includes the receipt and the gift card itself with our names on it.
On Monday she said she would call me back after she tries to look another place.
I never heard from her, so I called again today and I explained that there was a Groupon and although we understand that the exact promotion expired in 4 months, the $300 face value that my mom paid never expires and should be able to use with another service at Mary’s salon.
Mary was extremely rude and combative about it and said “I don’t get paid by Groupon after the 4 months so there’s nothing I can do“. I explained to Mary countless times what the GROUPON says— which is that the $300 can always be used. And she just kept arguing and telling me “we can take it up with Groupon.”
It’s very unfortunate that Mary would take advantage of an 80-year-old woman trying to buy a Christmas gift for her family, and that this is how she wants to run her business.
But do yourself a favor and do NOT book or buy anything with Mary’s business! If I could give ZERO star I would, but that was not an option.

If I could give the owner 0 stars I would. This lady was so rude and disrespectful. One she's hard to get in reach of and every time I call I keep getting different information. I got called twice in same day about scheduling an appoint after I already scheduled one. I guess in this business nobody reads and communicates anymore. She clearly didn't look at her calendar. Then had a problem with me rescheduling my appointment just because she probably paid someone to common on a day my appointment wasn't on. Then she lied and said I didn't call her to reschedule and redeemed my cold after I called to reschedule and no one called me back. She paid someone in full for a ervice I didn't even get and is refusing to give me any of my messages net back or to reschedule. Then she hung up on me. I purchased a Groupon for a massage and facial for this place. We live about 45 minutes away, but it was a good deal and I liked that I could be in the same room as my 15 year old daughter during our services. We had an absolutely amazing massage and facial! The atmosphere was very relaxing and clean. We enjoyed it so much that we bought a package of 6 more massages and facials and just went back today for our second one! This was my first ever massage and facial and I loved both of them. Mary Lynn and Mariah were both super nice and the business was nice too. They have a 3 story building and the top floor is an apartment and the bottom 2 floors are the business (I think). I've been a long time customer of Mary Lynn and when she moved to Paradise Valley I didn't hesitate to follow her. Hands down the best massage therapist around. Always attentive to the needs of her customers, doing whatever it takes to provide the best experience for her customers. I'd give this 10 stars if possible. I hadn't had a massage from Mary Lynn in almost ten years (I was actually her first customer ever in Chandler AZ) and only one or two in that time. She's only gained skill since then. Her assistant Mariah was pleasant and knowledgeable as well. I'm happy for her success. She richly deserves it. I'd have taken a picture from the front but after a two hour massage, I had to pour myself into the car. Well done old friend, well done indeed. My Mum and I had a wonderful experience at Mary Lynn's spa today. I purchased the couples/mom and me package which I saw on Groupon. We started the experience in the reception of the lovely facility and were shown the restroom and room where we would receive our treatments. Robes are provided if you wish to relax on the patio afterwards.Both the massage and the facial were excellent; the massage was tailored to suit each of our needs and the facial was extremely relaxing. Being a nurse, Mary Lynn was able to help decrease the side effects I’m having from inflammation in my body- after two days on a prescribed detox procedure, I felt more energy, less anxiety and rested. I was very impressed with marys spa espically after reading these reviews. I had a wondeful experience here! That I even came back and brought my girlfriend. We wanted to try the couples massage which is such a good idea because you can relax and talk to your partner. Wonderful Experience. My schedule changed (as it often does) and Brittany went out of her way to help me. I also had some questions for her and she was very informative, patient and kind. I began with the massage and Keen was FAB! Very in tune to my body and that is saying something considering the number of spinal surgeries I have undergone. She did an outstanding job of hitting the hot spots and loosening them up. I've read a few reviews which mentioned excessive noise, but I am happy to report just the opposite during my visit. The woman who did my facial, also did a great job. I have super sensitive skin and had she not been aware or listening, I believe it could have been a terrible experience. I had asked for the micro-derm abrasion, but after speaking with me and realizing I was hyper-sensitive to many products we agreed that my skin could not handle it. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and there was a noticeable improvement in the skin on my face and neck. This is Mary Lynn's new location I have been going to Mary for about 4 years and I will never stop! I always feel like I'm welcomed here and all her employers are the sweetest, they take care of you from start to finish and make it a experience you wont forget, we had a couple laughs at the appropriate times and the rest is always so relaxing. First time at Mary Lynn's Massage and Day Spa Scottsdale and what I treat it was! Purchased a 2 hour couples massage for my husband and myself. Mary Lynn was my husbands therapist and he said "she was amazing"! He has lot of lower back pain, sciatica and recently had a knee replacement. I was happy he was lucky enough to get Mary Lynn as his masseuse. Mary Lynn was a nurse and trained in reflexology so she went to work on him with her knowledge and expertise. She certainly knows her stuff! He said he felt amazing today and wants to return again. The spa itself is beautiful, from the minute you walk in you can see the attention to detail, beautifully decorated and amazing ambience. The spa room was perfect for a couples massage with extraordinary comfort and design. The soothing music was extremely relaxing, not your ordinary spa stuff, so much better. We were pampered for 2 hours and then surprised with a perfect little strawberry desert and an adult beverage to make for a perfect experience.Highly recommend Mary Lynn for an extremely reasonable massage without sacrificing knowledge, experience and expertise. My experience with Mary Lynn’s Massage & Day Spa was at the scottsdale location. I need to start off by saying that Mary Lynn is a true professional, over the top courteous, and extremely knowledgeable!
When I arrived Mary Lynn was at the front desk to greet me and her bright smile and contagiously awesome attitude made my visit that much better. She immediately offered me a water and wine, which to some might not mean much but it made me feel right at home.
During our first session Mary Lynn really took the time to dive in deep and help me figure out the treatments that my body really needed based on her assessment.
She helped me lay out a battle plan for treating a few underlying hip, glute, and knee issues, and than began her treatment. All I can say is WOW! I feel like a new man!
The fact that she took the time to ask questions and really get to know me and fully understand the things I am looking to fix made all the difference. I have gone to other “chain massage parlors” in the past but the attentiveness was never there and I always left feeling like I had wasted my money, my time, and prolonged my recovery.
I look forward to continuing treatment with Mary Lynn and seeing all the great things my new and improved body has in store!
Thanks again Mary! I’ll be back for more of that delicious wine soon!

I have been coming to Mary Lynn for years, and when I finally checked out her second location in Paradise Valley, I felt so much more relaxed right from when I walked in.
This 3 story spa is stunning! And it makes me feel right at home.
Must I say the staff there are very professional and they always makes sure to put the client needs first and make sure that I am very comfortable.
My service here was amazing, I had a massage, facial, and scrub done, and everything felt amazing, from the massage to my facial. Now I'm feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
Overall great experience, and I can't wait to book my next service here!
