When my boyfriend, who is now my husband, would go to leave the house or sometimes even the room we were in together I would grab onto his leg and be screaming and crying and would not let him leave. We found Marshall and he said I was not the first person he had worked with who was like that. He helped me see why I was doing it and what it did to my husband AND my husband was able to be compassionate and understanding. We got married and we have a child now too. I am a different person now but really I am the same person just more me! I recommend him highly for sure More...

I appreciate you adding this review so quickly. I celebrate you both. And congratulations on your child! I'm sorry I didn't ask when I wrote. Write me back please and tell me their name and how old they are now.

My ex and my son and I had one session with Marshall. When we came in she was going to call the police on me because of something I did whic she misunderstood, she had turned my son against me, and all she did was scream at me and blame me. We had just one session and at the end she got up and hugged me. We have never had a problem ever since. I'ts been five years. That is pretty amazing I say. More...

I appreciate you writing this so quickly Roman. Without ever sharing your name, I have often shared your story when I am talking with potential new clients. Five years...wow, time flies. I am happy to bursting with that update. Thank you again.

My wife and I came in ready to get divorced. We left holding hands. I told Marshall he could have charged $5000 for what he did. (But I'm glad he didn't.)

Nicholas, I often share your story when I'm talking with couples about potentially diving in together. You've given me permission to share this, so I will: I was very honored to get ordained online and officiate your renewal of your wedding vows. One of the highlights of my career. Sending you both big hugs.

Q&As

I love the moment in a couples session where one of the partners suddenly understands the other, that 'lightbulb' moment, where we have an embodied experience of what it's like to be that other person you feel so mad at, or hurt by.

I've been coaching as a side business for many years. But during a serious case of covid, I contemplated my life. If I got better, I told myself, I was going to focus on bringing my knowledge and my gifts to as many couples as possible, to create as much authentic love on this planet as possible as long as I'm here. I did get better, so I'm keeping my word to myself. I'll be publishing my book, also called Truth Empowered Relationships, this year.

This to me is the most important question, because you are considering who to let into a deeply personal aspect of your life. Deeply personal. Here are my reasons:

1) I live what I coach. My wife Heather and I lead a fully open, honest relationship where we communicate with sensitivity and respect, and on the rare occasions when there's a breakdown, we follow the rules of Truth Empowered Relationships to get back to love.

2) It was NOT always this way between us. Truth Empowered Relationships transformed OUR relationship too. I'll be open and honest with you about it, and I prefer my wife to work with me, because she'll tell you the same: things used to be VERY challenging between us. But we always had that core feeling of deep love, and we were able to transform our communication to align with that feeling.

3) I value both people's feelings, needs and realities in every relationship EQUALLY. Never not. You both matter to me.

4) Long ago, my father confessed a very serious crime to me. I was the only person he told. It felt deeply confusing, but it also felt like a blessing. As I've gone through my life, I've become used to "I can't believe I'm telling you this" and "Why am I telling you this?" I realize that I'm simply a person who doesn't judge ANYthing as long as someone is fully honest. You can be fully open with me, and you'll receive understanding, and frequently curiosity, back. I simply cherish getting to know people in a professional capacity.

4) I'm trauma-informed, and I myself am a survivor of childhood sexual trauma, emotional trauma, and gaslighting. So I promise you, if your inner world is giving you challenges, I promise I can relate.

5) I design my sessions to make sure you end up dependent on yourselves and each other, not me. Think of me as Mary Poppins: I'm only there as long as you need me, and when you have the breakthroughs you need, I look forward to saying goodbye to you and trusting you to trust yourselves...and each other.

I am primarily online. If you're interested in group sessions, I do those remotely and in-person. If you want to work with me in person, I have an office in Oakland County (I'm in Michigan).

I'm primarily online. We can discuss parameters if you want to meet in person.

Using my own method, which is a combination of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Non-Violent Communication (NVC), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and my own intuition as a person who values authentically loving relationships over all, we will radically transform whatever issues brought you here in the first place—and enrich your relationship in general.
