I tried the hella ube dessert for the first time and I was in heaven! I found this food truck at the A's game and luckily for me my birthday was 9/12 five days before the As game. They make your treat super special by placing a birthday candle! Very nice touch and great way to make costumers feel ube-special!!! My favorite part of the ube dessert was the ice cream, to die for! Least favorite part was the Rice Krispie. It did not taste like ube and it was very sweet to my liking. Would I get it again? Actually, I would! Tried Marley's Treats for the first time at an A's game for Filipino Heritage Night. I had my sights set on the Hella Ube. I asked for the birthday option since it was around my friend's birthday so they added a candle to top it all off -- so cute!!The Hella Ube is beautiful! A personal purple mountain of ube goodies stacked high. I enjoyed every component of this but personally think that the ube cupcake frosting doesn't necessarily go well with the cold ice cream so I continued to eat those separately. I was introduced to Marley's Treats when I found the Marley's Streats truck at Foodieland this weekend. Out of everything I tried while at the festival, the Ube Ice Cream Sandwich from Marley's Streats was my FAVORITE. The ice cream had amazing flavor and was super creamy, the rice krispie "buns" were chewy and sweet, and the staff was super friendly (thank you for answering my random questions and making my experience even sweeter, Caroline!). Gemma, thank you tons for the amazing (and sooo tasty) birthday cake for my boyfriend.Here are some highlights:-I requested a quote within the same week. I was desperate given I was asking for a cake so last minute. Gemma took our order (THANK YOOOOOU FOR SAVING THE DAY) asked about flavors and design. All was set up-Delivery: not only on time, but EARLY. Dropped it right off to the restaurant to the host while I was upstairs decorating. No interruptions. Completely smooth transition. -Get the UBE flavor! Cake was so good, rich, delish.....-Boyfriend and all of his friends were so loving the design. (wish I had a picture, but having too much fun and did not take ANY :(  ) It was a design with a stand up comic on stage. We had a VIP theme where my boyfriend was star of the show. Order some last minute macaroons for my baby shower from Marleys Treats. Not only where they delicious but they looked beautiful! We did a winter wonderland theme and got three colors and flavors. Vanilla, fruity pebbles(my daughters favorite) and chocolate . The ordering process and delivery was easy. I was able to pay on my phone with Apple Pay. We used Marley's Treat for our wedding in November. We ordered the Macaroons tower and cake pops in navy blue and gold colors! Gemma was very professional, she kept in contact with me from the day we ordered to the day our desserts were delivered! The macaroon and the cake pops disappeared so fast and those who were able to try them said they were very delicious! Marley Treats is by far the best cupcakes I've ever had. I have traveled quite a bit and have even tried some of the places they consider the 'best' in the nation. I had a last minute request from work to get a sheet of cake with a printed photo of our CEO's face on it. I messaged Marley and she responded to me in a timely manner. I was pleased she was able to do my request on such a short notice. The cake was delivered on time and it looked awesome! It was more than what I had expected..picture came out very clear and bright! It looked ust like a real picture because I've seen some cakes where they were faded and discolored. Everyone enjoyed eating the cake as well, it was moist and not too sweet. I tried the ube rice Krispy ice cream sandwich they were serving at the ube food fest in SoMa SF. I really enjoyed it! The rice Krispy treats on the exterior had a hint of ube flavor and I was living for it! They also tasted really fresh and gooey which I loved, nothing is worse than a stale hard rice Krispy treat. The ube filling on the inside was also really good! It tasted slightly vanilla flavored with a hint of ube, it was sweet but neutral enough to eat even if you weren't the biggest fan of ube. I thought this was really creative and a really tasty treat to try at the food festival. They also served a variety of cupcakes and macaroons, many of them ube flavored or inspired, but I didn't get a chance to try these. Gemma always go above and beyond. Great customer service. 2 years straight, I went to her to order my son's cake. (Keep in mind the Sesame Street cake top tier WAS SMOOTH AND CLEAN, it was my fault it looked off. I accidentally was not too gentle with the box while opening.) Her flavors were amazing too ! Most times when you have a cupcake, you stop at one because cupcakes are typically sweet. BUT I promise you, the cupcakes from Marley's Treats are uhh--mazing! !!! You'll want more than just one! Being a first grade teacher and all the birthday celebrations with students, I've had my fair-share of cupcakes!  Let me tell you, by far, the cupcakes from Marley's Treats surpass them all. My favorite is the horchata churro and my fiancé's favorite is the blueberry lemon. BUT I may have a second favorite cupcake now, maybe even a first- the ube flan cupcake. Went to a food truck event at niles today and had their Ice Cream Sandwich!!! The cookie was fresh and soft and was filled with creamy chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. So good! The truck was awesome as well. Depending where I was standing it was a different color.  That alone pulled me towards the truck, then I was greeted by a young lady named Marley. Marley's Treats provided the cake, flan cupcakes and macarons for my daughter's 3rd birthday party and it when I say it was sublime, it's still an understatement - everything was truly amazing! They're cake was moist and creamy. The ube flan cupcake was unbelievable - heaven in your mouth. I have never tasted anything like it and haven't still. The macaron was light and crispy as they should be. Needless to say they will be providing the cake for my daughter's 4th birthday! Marley's Treats food truck was at Off The Grid Alameda, Southshore Shopping Center last Saturday afternoon. The main reason I was there was for the Aloha Festival. The cultural event, held in the courtyard, was entertaining and I enjoyed myself. However, I was also hungry and wanted something from OTG Alameda. It has been a while since I visited the food trucks here. Have I grown weary of food trucks? Nope, I still like certain ones like The Chairman truck, which sells the crispy miso tofu steamed bun with garlic aioli and baby bok choy. (Good that The Chairman Truck was there.) I also felt like having something sweet.Glancing around, I noticed Marley's Treats. Ooh, a cupcake truck. I haven't bought cupcakes from a truck since the days of the Cupkates Food Truck being at OTG Civic Center Plaza (like 5 years ago). I looked at Marley's menu board posted on their window. What caught my eyes was ube cupcake, $3.00 each. I have never had ube cupcake; but yes, on ube ice cream. The gentleman assisting me suggested this cupcake. He mentioned that the other flavor, cookies 'n cream, that I wanted had more sugar and it was much sweeter. The young lady was also nice and friendly. Based on what he said, I ordered two ube cupcakes. What little I had of the purple cupcake with purple icing was, as the signage on the truck, "hella dope and delicious." No disappointment here. It was moist and flavorful. However, the icing was a tad too much for me. I lopped off most of the icing, not knowing how many grams of the sugar it has. If I weren't diabetic, I would have eaten the whole cupcake with no problem. Thus, moderation is how I handle these types of sweets. (I like to tell myself I am sweet enough that I don't need the added sugar. LOL) Finally, the price is reasonable, especially seeing that a dozen of their cupcakes is $25.00, which is close to $2.10 each. That's a deal compared to other shops that sell cupcakes by the dozen. This review is long overdue from my April wedding lol. Overall, loved my wedding cake from Marley's treats! Gemma was so nice and was quick with responding. I had a two tier Ube cake with the bottom layer faux and had my florist add on flowers, Gemma was totally fine with that. They delivered the cake to my Mill Valley reception with no problems! I am wowed beyond belief! I contact Gemma and kind of explained what I wanted. When I received my order which was for my baby's 5th birthday, My jaw dropped it was the most amazing cake I have seen for what I wanted. I never sent a picture, just a few words describing what I wanted and Gemma read everything in my mind and more! All of the adults and children thought it was a beautiful cake as well! So now how did it taste. My daughter ordered chocolate oreo. I am not a fan of chocolate at all but had to try it for my baby. OMG, Gemma might have converted me to a chocolate lover, so moist and delicious! Oh we had cake pops as well also supper moist. Gemma's customer service is awesome she allowed me to increase my order just a few days before my party. My only suggestion to her is to stamp her informaton on the cake boxes, that way as people want to know where they can get her delicious treats they can take a pic of the box with there phone. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS cupcakes ! Best that I have had so far hands down ! Has quite a few different flavors and each one is to die for. Had them cater for our wedding and all of our guests were in love with them. Aside from the cupcakes being delicious the service that I received from Gemma was above and beyond she worked with us every step of the way and understood exactly what we wanted. Stopped by here this afternoon after realizing there was yet another highly-rated bakery nearby the Airbnb I'm staying at (the first being Sweet Adeline).  A couple of interesting choices - including "Asian coconut buttercream" and a flan-topped cupcake - along with more traditional favorites such as chocolate with chocolate ganache and S'mores with marshmallow fluff icing. Found this bakery on Yelp and with a slew of great reviews I decided to contact them about making  a hello kitty rainbow cake for my 2 daughters birthday party.  I sent an email and Gemma replied promptly, she came off as personable and friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly.  Everything was done via email which was perfect for a hard working mom like myself.  A few days before the party I called to confirm the time to pick up my cake and immediately got a response from Gemma.  Party Day-I walked through the front door and saw my beautiful cake in the showcase I was so happy!! It was just how I wanted it with two tiers, brightly colored rainbow fondant, hearts and adorned with cute Hello Kitty and My Melody fondant characters.  When it came time to cut the cake I was amazed at how beautiful the cake was inside as well as the outside.  I chose chocolate cake with Oreo frosting for one cake and lemon blueberry cake with lemon cream cheese frosting OMG sooo good!  Both cakes were moist and delicious and not overly sweet.  The lemon blueberry cake had tons of plump juicy whole blueberries through it and was my favorite of the two.  I will definitely be ordering from them again! For my daughters 5th birthday she had requested a rainbow unicorn cake. I contacted the owner Gemma and told her what we wanted and she nailed it! She created a beautiful multi colored 3 layer cake topped with a cute fondant unicorn. Best part of all was that once you cut into the cake skittles oozed out from the middle. My daughters mind was blown and her friends thought it was the coolest cake ever! They talked about it for months. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing, it tasted delicious!
