Marissa captured my wedding and previously other events in my life. My wedding however was one to remember. Marissa was effortless. She calmed me down. Assured and encouraged me throughout the five hours she was with me. Recommended many different shots that personally I feel belong on the front cover of a magazine. Her work is quality. I cannot wait to get out wedding pictures back!!!! A must if you are looking for a photographer. Most importantly, she has been a bride. She has been a new mother. She has been engaged. From the get go Marissa was very easy to work with and flexible with scheduling our session. We had the most amazing picture perfect sunset, so naturally my 18 month old son was not interested in cooperating for pictures. He was so distracted by the water, the birds, people, SQUIRREL! All the while, Marissa was very patient and (being a mom herself) understanding. But I left our session without any expectations. I didn't think she would have much to work with. Not because I didn't have confidence in her being a professional, it was solely based on the fact that my son wasn't cooperating. But I was okay with it, and told myself this is what comes with the territory of taking pictures with a small kid. One day we would look back and laugh. Man, I was so wrong. Marissa captured so many great photos, not only posed, but candid as well. We absolutely LOVE them. Fellow moms - let them be little, let them run, play, have fun and laugh. Let Marissa capture your kids personality. This is life, it's chaotic & beautiful.
