I stopped seeing Marilyn and am still fuming about her attitude and word usage towards me, but especially about how she keeps putting words (negative ones) in my mouth before I'm done finishing my sentence. For example, she said "and then you keep spewing ___ at him", when I was explaining an argument I had, and I didn't. I have to correct her and say "No, I stopped after he replied". She makes a lot of negative assumptions and puts words in my mouth. When I was explaining an unbearable sadness, she said that it "isn't any more unbearable than other people's", invalidating my emotions.
I feel worse after the sessions. She also talks to me using condescending tone and word , as if my issues aren't issues at all, and that I should just believe her and get over my beliefs and problems. And then swears in her word usage about my problems. She makes me feel like she's angry at me for how I feel and what I think. That's not what a therapist is for. Zero empathy and mean. More...

Marilyn is amazing. She is the finest therapist I have ever seen. She definitely is very adept at dealing with obsessive compulsive disorders and knows who way around addiction issues like no one else. She helped me change my life
