What do you love most about your job?
I love my clients. They are some of the most powerful and inspiring people on the planet. I am honored to hold space for change agents, public advocates and those seeking to radically change the narrative on what success looks like.
I always feel humbled when clients book time because I know that it is only because they are up to big, scary amazing things that they have chosen to work with me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After 4 grueling years in a toxic corporate environment I was being bullied and harrassed on the job. I was a high performer and always had other interests that I entertained while working full time, but when that last position began to eat away at my health and mental well being, I knew it was time to pursue work that would give to me as much as I was investing in it.
With a Masters in Management and a background in crafting leadership development programs, starting my own firm was a natural progression in my career.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a Black woman who has lived the corporate experience in multiple industries. Learning how to communicate and thrive in business environments is my specialty and my varied background offers a unique perspective and practical experience (financial advising, real estate, non profit and management experience).
I focus on Diversity Equity and Inclusion conversations in my coaching and so am able to support clients who identify as being a member of a marginalized group and what that means for leadership and communication int he work place as well as in the world.
I have a direct approach that is laced with love and compassion. Clients walk away from each session with clear action steps and a deep sense of acknowledgement in all that we have shared in our time together. I'm a no B.S. person who loves holding others accountable and seeing them succeed.
Side Hustle Intensive Program
This is a 12 week group coaching program and business builders workshop. The group is limited to 10 women or fewer. All are successful women of color in corporate America who are transitioning into entrepreneurship. Together we explore the financial challenges, mindsets and habits that are keeping us from achieving our dreams. Marie provides weekly video lectures and assignments in addition to live group coaching over Zoom for mindset support.
1:1 Coaching
Weekly coaching sessions are conducted in one hour or 90 minute blocks. Agenda is led by the client who comes with a specific coaching request each week. Follow up notes including action items and new awarenesses declared on each session are available. Private clients have access to Marie between sessions via phone, text and email correspondence for ongoing support. Offered in 6 month or 12 month durations.
Vision Roadmap
This is an intensive goal planning experience. We begin with a 2 hour interview to explore what you want to create and have you visualize your goal in vivid detail. That is followed by a customized survey to flesh out your skills, resources and supports that will empower your vision. Finally we meet again for a final hour to review your customized action plan complete with dated milestones and rewards to support and acknowledge your progress to achieving your dreams. * This is included with all 1:1 coaching programs or can be offered as a standalone coaching experience.
