My (now) husband and I planned an elopement to Glacier National Park. We found Marianne on the internet and fell in love with her pictures. She not only helped with the photos, but has a blog helping couples make sure they have everything they need for a wedding/elopement if they're coming from out of state. We are from MN, took a vacation to Glacier Park, & while we were there we had Marianne take our engagement pics! Marianne is AMAZING! She was so easy and fun to work with and our pictures are absolutely incredible. Even with a late start (my fault) and construction in the park that had us at a dead stop for what felt like eternity, Marianne was not worried and relieved everyone's stress along the way. Hands down the most incredible photographer there is out there. I remember talking to other photographers before hiring Marianne and one said, "well I am no 'Marianne Wiest'. .. at that point, I knew I had to have her haha. The pictures turned out incredible and she made our whole day feel so special and fun. I joke when people ask why I didn't hire a wedding planner and I said Marianne served as that too (suggesting places to eat and visit before I even headed to Montana). I gave up looking for venues in SC after two days. I googled “elopement” and Marriane’s blog popped up. My jaw fell on the floor and my heart soared! Marianne is a dream to work with! After a stressful year of planning, it was so nice to have people who are in the wedding business surround us and just handle everything like a boss the days leading up to the wedding, day of wedding and day after wedding. Marianne is no exception to this, right from the start she has this contagious energy that just bounces around and you cannot help, but smile and want to go spread joy yourself to others. I felt this over the phone upon our first conversation and it's exactly what you need when starting to plan your wedding. She's a wizard with the camera (think Gandalf or Dumbledore level). I mean the chick studied in fine arts and you can tell! Knowledgeable about the park, locations, things to do, etc. and she just takes the most awe inspiring exquisite photos you will ever see! Everything from taking photos to the editing she did was on point and spectacular. Booking with her was one of the best decisions we made in regards to the wedding and I would do it again in a heartbeat. My husband and I actually decided on eloping in Glacier after seeing Marianne's photos. We knew we wanted a beautiful, mountainous place but once we saw her portfolio, we immediately decided that Glacier had to be the place and Marianne had to be the photographer. What a great decision that was! Marianne is awesome to work with. We both felt comfortable with her right away, and did not feel awkward in front of the camera at all. And the pictures are seriously unreal. We're having a really hard time picking just a few to hang up. Really, not even one came out "eh", they are all incredible. Marianne was such a joy to shoot with! Her expertise with Glacier National Park is extremely evident as she knows how to use the setting to her advantage, whether the weather is clear, foggy, sunrise, or sunset, she captures the best angles. Her personality is so outgoing and she makes you super relaxed during the shoot. I also really appreciate her directing in terms of how to pose as my wife and I aren't exactly graceful, but the pictures came out gorgeous. She provided us a library of over a thousand photos which contained so many gems that we are still trying to narrow down our favorites to a reasonable volume for a photo album and canvas prints. Best.Photo.Experience.Ever. I was not looking forward to it at first. As a guy, I was not into walking around rough terrain in a tux and dress shoes, while posing to have my picture taken, for THREE hours. But my new and brilliant wife insisted that we have Marianne as our photographer and that we do it in East Glacier, and so it was. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the time flew by. Marianne is incredible! Our wedding truly would not have been the awesome day that it was without her. It was through her website and blog that we found our wedding ceremony location in Glacier Park. It was through her same website that we found tips on how to get married in the Park that were so helpful while planning our wedding from out of state.
