I took an older friend here for a birthday lunch. We both enjoyed our selection. This Cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was very patient as my guest took some time making her selection. I was excited pulling in because the outside patio looked like such a nice place to spend time at. I was immediately proved wrong upon stepping in. Right off the bat when you step up to the restaurant is a big whiteboard with a bunch of rules on it. A simple (and far more polite) "please wait to be seated" would do fine. Our waitress came out and sat us at a table (2 adults and a dog) which had an umbrella but was covering less than a third of the table in shade, the rest was in the sun. We asked to move tables before sitting down, and the waitress immediately copped an attitude and gave us an excuse for every other table with shade so we couldn't sit at it. This initial encounter just soured the whole experience from the get-go. We ordered coffee, which was abysmal. It came in a glass that you could see how watered down it was. The food was fine, the biscuits and gravy were quite pleasant, actually. We ordered a plate of pancakes to go with the meal which never came. We used to love this place. The last couple of times they have been so very rude. They now have 2 signs demanding you wait behind the sign before sitting outside . even when it is empty. They are pissy of you don't wait at their sign! This time they saw us out there waiting and came out and took one of the signs in saying it was going to rain (it did not rain). I’ve been coming here for years and I just came for Mother’s Day. They’re only serving a handful of items. No French toast/waffles. They say check the menu on the white board but have two white boards outside with different menus. Then as I’m walking out I get a snotty waitress saying it was the other white board. This was a great place! Not over priced - a ton of food for your money waitress was kind and friendly. Everything was hot fresh and you could tell the biscuits were homemade on site the fruit was fresh cut- in season , not frozen tossed in a bowl. The omelet was HUGE!! Love the look of the place and lady and manager were nice. I ordered quiche lorraine and it was squishy like it came from microwave, potatoes were still kind of undercooked and hard. My brother ordered corned beef hash and eggs with potatoes. He only ate the eggs said his hash was gross even tried adding hot sauce and ketchup to make it better he still could not eat it. The lady came and asked if we were done we told her all the same stuff we left paying over $25. She said we have never had a complaint over the hash we felt like she was kind of guilt tripping us. I have been here before and had no issues, just give them a try but I do not reccomend either of these items. More...
