We had Marcellos cater our wedding and it was amazing! We hired pretty last minute (about a month out) and we also live pretty far from Yuba City so we weren't even able to do a tasting before booking. We chose dinner Menu #1 and booked for 50 people. Even though we weren't able to taste the food in advance, the owner, Octavio, allowed us to do a tasting the night before our wedding. Not only was this a perfect date night in all the chaos, Octavio came out and introduced himself then sat and chatted with us until after the restaurant closed. The staff was extremely friendly and I noticed they all seem to work together rather than 'sections'. The food was absolutely delicious too, totally blown away! Octavio is an honest and kind man and I thoroughly enjoyed picking his brain. On the wedding day, he showed up early and had everything ready and set up about 15 minutes before it was time to eat. My guests absolutely loved the food and before leaving, he even boxed up all the leftovers for my guests to take home.If you're looking for an affordable, delicious caterer, or just an amazing date night, Marcellos is the way to go! Good service decent portions, but our food was over all just okay. Lacking salt and flavor. The chicken Alfredo was tasting like flour not enough cheese nor cooked long enough. This restaurant never disappoints us. We drove all the way up from the Bay Area! The fettuccine Alfredo is the best I've ever had! I ordered chicken Fettuccine Alfredo the plate had 6 small slices of chicken that was overpowered by rosemary. The white sauce taste like flour very bland. If you are into things like ambiance, flavor, attention and cleanliness when you dine out, this is a place for you.  Walking in gives an old world flair to a dimly lit area.  The easiness of the staff (1 just may include an owner) and the calmness that emotes from the kitchen personally made me sink into the booth Caydee directed me to.  The prices are decent and the portions are beyond filling.  I went right after opening for dinner and boy it seemed like the chef(s) put appreciation and quality in every stir, chop and placement of the dish! Here's my grades for this restaurant: food quality = C; food quantity = B+; service = A-; ambience = B-; prices = C. Plenty of parking and a lots of options. Richard, our waiter, was really the highlight of the experience. He was on his "A game". The food lacks authenticity but is good. Looks to have a full bar although I did not indulge. Working in Yuba City this weekend and felt like Italian. The Yelp reviews and menu photos brought me here - so thank you fellow Yelpers! Holy cow. This place is fantastic. In a desert of Olive Gardens and pizza joints, this old school ristorante was just what I needed. My server, Michaela, a recent transplant from San Diego, and was just perfect. We always get great food & fantastic service here. The chef, himself, comes to your table to make sure everything is to your liking. It has become “Our Spot” with us dining here at least once a week. I recently moved to the Yuba area, and I decided to give Marcello's a try.  The staff were friendly, and attentive during my visit, and I was happy with service overall.  I enjoyed the house bread, and I always try the garlic bread in these places, and I was provided a very generous portion of it.  I enjoyed it.  My concern was ordering the chicken marsala which is supposed to be one of their signature dishes.  Unfortunately, I could not detect any marsala in the plate that was served to me.  Now, I still found the meal to be good in that the chicken was well done, the pasta good, and after adding some asiago cheese I enjoyed the plate.  I asked my waitress if any other customers had mentioned to her anything about the lack of any marsala in the dish, and she said she had not, but she did agree with me she could not detect any aroma of marsala.  Marsala is everything when your enjoying a dish with it, (aside from the fact it's what you are paying for), and my experience, having worked in an Italian restaurant many moons ago, is that aroma, and taste has to be in that dish.  Unfortunately it missed the mark.  The menu looks good so I'm going to return, but I would be cautious ordering this dish.
