We visited this past Saturday and the food is delish!We ordered the Colombian empanadas they where so good, they are so tasty full of flavor. Friendly service, pet friendly, with rather unique variations of familier latin foods. My wife had "carb friendly" street tacos served on large lettuce leaves (instead of tortillas), I had over stuffed soft tacos with cheese and avocado inside.  There were dozens of unique dishes, tons of seafood too. Been here 2 times on recent visits to San Jose. They have added Colombian food on the Menu I have been to Colombia a couple of times and It's so cool to have this restaurant. I was looking for a fun place to take a few high school girls after their summer classes. We can't eat pork/lard/bacon so this was the perfect spot as the owner confirmed that even the rice and beans were pork-free and the chips were not fried in lard. Food was delicious and we ended up staying there and chatting for over two hours. Service was so nice, we got samples of drinks, and all allergies were accommodated! One of my most favorite Mexican food places and I am super picky and have high standards when it comes to Mexican food. My grandparents came to visit, and I wanted to be sure we could all find something we like on the menu.  This place was so cute.  We were greeted right away, and the hostess/waitress was super attentive and friendly.  My normally shy baby took a shine to her right away.The food was great!  It tasted like home-cooked, and my grandfather even said it was the best Chile Verde he'd ever had.  Chicken fajitas were super tasty with a generous amount of both meat and veggies.  We'll definitely come back again!The sign on their hostess stand looked like they took all major cc and even had an ApplePay sticker.  They had a handheld card machine akin to the kind you see in Canada & Europe. Have had the ceviche de camaron tostada in the past, and enjoyed it immensely - fresh, generous amounts of shrimp and other shell fish, the perfect amount of citrus and cilantro. Yesterday I opted for the Chicken Mole - delicious, thick, well seasoned mole sauce, chicken was cooked perfectly. Love how the Michalada glasses are rimmed with grilled shrimp dusted in Tajin. Hola, hoy estuve en Mangos y me encantó la atención al público y la muy buena comida.Desde hace 3 meses agregaron comida Colombiana a este restaurante y la verdad muy delicioso pedimos bandeja paisa, jugos naturales,y empanadas de pollo y carne y todo estaba súper deliciosos. They have new chefs and REAL Colombian food here now! I had eaten here a couple of times before and it was good but nothing too special given the number of Mexican restaurants in the area. But since hiring new chefs who used to own a restaurant in Colombia this place is incredibly good. Make sure you get the Colombian menu when you get seated.The empanadas are authentic with fresh fillings and perfectly crispy on the outside. The arroz con pollo is flavorful, fresh with moist rice and tender chicken. The signature Colombian dish in any restaurant is the Bandeja paisa. Here, it is easily up there with the best I've ever had. The chicharron is a whole experience on its own. Tender, juicy and crispy. The chorizo is fresh and the beans and plantains are spot-on.I'm extremely glad I have this place another chance. We go back once a week now. Service is super fast and friendly. More...

Here's the deal. I was greeted immediately upon walking in the door by Jasmine and directed to sit anywhere I would like. I asked for a couple recommendations on the enchiladas and ended up going with the steak with the red and green sauce .  They came with refrained beans and rice and they were delicious! Chips and salsa were complementary and the salsa had a nice balance of hot and sweet which is a little different then what I expected but very good. Great food and great service. I use to come here all the time , then the chef left and the chef that replaced him was over cooking the food. I decided to go back after a year has gone by. This place is awesome. I can't understand why some gave it a one star. The food is fresh. I had a mechalada with the prawns and a mango tacos . Everything was so tasty. Alicia was my server and she is so accommodating. I came in here for one purpose and that was ordering the chicken soup. It was absolutely amazing. The broth was rich and zesty and you can tell it was made from chicken bones from scratch. They included lime, hot sauce, onion, and cilantro, with rice and tortillas.  My only negative was I thought they could have added more veggies to the broth especially paying almost  14 bucks. Amazing! We came in maybe 30 min till closing the woman serving us was so nice, gave us a sample of their seafood soup which was great and served us happily. The food was great! The service is always a pleasure EVERYTIME I come here . Their food is great as well.  It comes close to the food I've had in Mexico. I always order shrimp ceviche and their mango taco. Soooo good. And if I'm feelin it I'll get a mango margarita which is pretty good as well. They always give you complimentary soup too. The one thing I will say is that I wish they had a few more workers because there were times where I had to wait pretty long just to get someone to come to us. Locals! Second time here. I know authentic Mexican food, and it's pretty good. The food is very fresh, and with lots of flavor. I've enjoyed their margarita with a tajin salted rim. Come get your authentic piece of pie here at mangos!! Your not paying as much as places in neighboring Santana row. Great seafood, great tacos, thirst quenching drinks, etc. Friendly front of the house (though I do recommend for the owner and management to hire for extra people on the floor cause it took me nearly 20 minutes to close out!!!!) Been here about 5 times and have really enjoyed their food. If you like seafood, you'll really like this place. I have had the aguachile in verde sauce twice and both times it was amazing! Ugh, my mouth just watered writing that. I've also tried their cóctel de camarones and tostadas de ceviche. They are all delish! The last time I was there I decided I would try their oysters... That is a dish I would pass on. No matter how much lime, salt, and salsa I added they were not flavorful. Maybe I don't know how to prepare them? Idk.Things that I have eaten there that do not contain seafood are their Mango's super tacos (i think that's what they're called) with carne asada... Omaigah, they are soooo good. Their steak is very flavorful and tender. My mom tried their tortas, of which I had to have a taste, and once again, super yummy! The only thing that people may not like is the restaurant itself. The one thing I noticed was the ceiling and crummy it looks. Maybe they can't fix it because it is part of the motel? Surprised!Didn't expect much from a nondescript restaurant attached to a motel, but it was convenient, so I went there for take out. The staff struggles with English and were a bit succinct with us, but I don't expect much service from authentic ethnic restaurants. I got the aguachile verde to go, spicy. Really tasty!
