Mangos Makeup Artistry

Christine Mangos is hands down the most talented makeup artist I have ever met! Not only is she a gifted artist, she immediately felt like a friend during the initial consultation and makeup trial in my parents’ home. Christine did the makeup for my sister’s 11/11/17 wedding, including the bride, 6 bridesmaids, and the mother of the bride. I have never felt so gorgeous and the complements just kept coming. I only wish the wedding was not a destination wedding and that I could use Christine on a regular basis in my home state. Christine also went WELL above and beyond staying with the bride and bridesmaids throughout all the formal pictures (retouching between shots), even giving the bride water through a straw. She fixed the boutonnieres that were not correctly placed on the groomsmen, she retouched all of our makeup, she fixed the brides hair after pictures. When I say she went well beyond the role of makeup artist, I truly mean it. Christine Mangos would be a wonderful addition to any special occasion. Christine Mangos is simply the best makeup artist that I have ever had! First of all, she is an absolute sweetheart, one of the kindest people I have ever met. She did my trial run for my bridal shower and we had so much fun that day. I received so many compliments on how beautiful my makeup was. She is a true makeup artist with both talent and professionalism. Since we had 10 girls on my wedding day that needed their makeup done, she brought another makeup artist with her that was equally as talented to make sure sure we were on time for the photographer. She thinks of every detail and makes you feel calm and comfortable in the process. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day thanks to Christine. I asked for a more natural look without anything dramatic, because I do not usually wear any makeup. Christine exceeded my expectations! Not only was her work amazing, she is awesome to have around. Having a stranger touch your face can be awkward, but with Christine I felt so comfortable! Christine is amazing. She did my makeup for my Friday night dinner as well as my wedding, and my bridal party that day too. She gave me different looks for both nights, both were perfect. I’ve never felt more glamorous and beautiful. She’s the sweetest and wouldn’t do anything you didn’t want her to. I hired Christine for my wedding day because she was the MUA for my best friends wedding and I fell in love with her. She is so so kind and a master at makeup! For my day she was incredibly accommodating. She allowed us to add on an extra person for makeup that was not originally in the timeline. Although my makeup was perfect the whole time before we left the hotel, she kept giving me touch ups to make sure everything was perfect up until I left her. She genuinely cares for her clients and that means so so much on a day where anything can stress you out. She has a calm to her that a bride like me needed! Christine Mangos is truly one of a kind! Not only is she extremely talented, but she is a wonderful person as well. I knew I wanted her to be a part of my wedding day as soon as I hung up the phone after the first time reaching out to her.
Her communication skills are also top notch! She stayed in constant contact with me leading up to the wedding day. Not being from south Florida I was super nervous about all of my vendors, especially my makeup. I tend to not wear makeup and if I do it is very light and natural. Christine kept that in mind during our trial and made me look beautiful. After looking at the pictures from my trial however, I decided I wanted some more pizzazz and expressed that to Christine and she definitely delivered. She gave me fuller lashes, brighter more stunning eye makeup and added the pink tones I asked for. I got compliments from just about everyone at my wedding on how gorgeous my makeup was and I cant disagree it was amazing. She also did my sisters makeup and made her look beautiful. The makeup lasted all night and my super sensitive skin had no issues with any of her products, super high quality. I cannot tell you how amazing Mangos Makeup was to have for my wedding!! She was absolutely delightful and so accommodating with the big day! Hiring Mangos Makeup was one of the best decisions I made when planning my destination wedding. You can't beat their flexibility, responsiveness and most importantly their quality! If I could give them a 10 on flexibility I would. Christine made herself available for a 4:30 am makeup trial on about 12 hours notice and couldn't have been nicer about my bridesmaids constantly changing their minds about getting their make up done. About 4 of my bridesmaids were concerned about price but once they saw the amazing work that Mangos Makeup was doing on the other bridesmaids they asked if Mangos could squeeze them in and they made time for everyone. All of my bridesmaids were raving about Mangos Makeup for weeks after the wedding. Mangos was so helpful throughout my wedding planning. They were quick to respond to any questions and even offered to help out with anything I wasn't able to do since I was planning a destination wedding. The quality of the make up was superb. They were even able to cover up some very ugly bruises I got from a fall a few days prior to my wedding. I was very nervous about this but when they were done you couldn't even see the bruises in any of my pictures. All of my bridesmaids, my mother in law and my mom all looked and felt gorgeous. One of my bridesmaid even said that they liked Mangos Makeup's work better than the person they hired to do their make up for their wedding. There is no other choice than Mangos Makeup for any occasion. Christine is a true artist, from a natural to dramatic look, she's got you covered. I highly recommend her and look forward to using her services again for all future occasions. After a couple makeup trials with other vendors, I was ready to give up hope, and then my mom found Christine. She was really great to work with and has a real talent for bridal makeup. My makeup came out beautifully and stayed that way throughout the ceremony and reception! I got fake lashes and she did individual lashes instead of strip lashes - they were much more comfortable, natural looking, and stayed on all night. She was really flexible in scheduling my trial on short notice (I live out of town), and after we were running close to an hour late form the hair salon on the day-of and kept her waiting, she was flexible, cheerful and efficient in making sure the delay didn't affect the rest of the day. Overall I would highly recommend Christine - she had the best quality, a great personality, and was more reasonably priced compared to other vendors I looked at (that had lower quality). More...
