I only had time for a quick bite. I had the shrimp bisque which was spectacular. The hostess was able to seat me quickly. My waiter Gio did a great job. Would definitely come back

Look forward to our dining experience at Manera's.  We are regulars as you cant beat the value. We dine out twice weekly and this restaurant is our favorite by far. The food presentation,  homemade soups (always memorable) the hot crusty bread, and creative entrees are superior to similar restaurants in the area. And the prices are reasonable. BYOB is a plus. The wait staff is knowledeable, friendly and  professional.Sunday early birds are all day and all inclusive, soup or salad, entree, dessert, coffee  or tea. And the desserts are above average for an early bird, as are the entrees. Even off season it is best to make reservations as word got out that this is the place to dine if you want good food at reasonable prices. More...

Outstanding restaurant located off LBI. Went on a Saturday evening a party of 4 made reservation a few hours prior for 7 pm and was seated when we arrived. I understand they have early bird specials that are good value but we arrived afterwards. Menu has many options of various meats, seafood and pasta . Everything is fairly priced and quality of food is excellent. All enjoyed there meals. I requested a dish not on the menu and was accommodated without hesitation. They offered several specials for the day and I was impressed that the waiter memorized and repeated them without hesitation. The service was very good and attentive. BYOB is a plus and they accommodate you with providing ice and wine chillers. The decor of the restaurant is nothing to talk about and it's location is in a strip mall kind of detracts from the quality of food and service. Although of parking and very accessible getting on and off Route 72. Only real significant negative factor is the high noise level in the place but by the time we left the crowd thinned out this and the "strip mall " location are the reason for not giving 5 stars.Recommend patronizing this establishment it is nice to have a good quality fairly price restaurant in the area that lacks these. A wonderful local restaurant convenient to the "Jennings Road community" on route 72 in manahawkin. Clean and comfortable with good service. This restaurant is special. We eat out a lot, and have a broad food palette. We've had steak, veal, chicken and seafood. Pasta, special potatoes, vegetables and soup. It is all very delicious. We continue to have fine meals here. This week we started with Thai coconut mussels, raw oysters and the excellent stuffed mushrooms. All very good as usual. The main course was the stuffed veal special which was a good variation of an Italian  brazole - consisting of tender veal stuffed with vegetables, cheese and spices. Had a few friends tell me how great this place was and decided to give it a try. We went in at 745 on a Saturday night and luckily were able to get a table- but reservations are recommended- the place was packed. We were immediately greeted by Dan our waiter. Super nice guy, and very attentive. He told us the specials and we asked him his recommendations for the wines they have. Would bring my own next time - I am partial to my preferred wine. The bread was so wonderful and fresh! Then came our appetizers coconut Thai mussels were amazing and my boyfriend had the oysters. He said they were really good. The salad was just ok for me I don't do iceberg lettuce unless it's on a sandwich. My dinner on the other hand was knock your socks off!!! I had the stuffed veal with couscous and it was beyond delicious. Stuffed with roasted red peppers fresh mozzarella jumbo lump crab. It's all of my favorite foods on one plate. My boyfriend had veal Manera's and he was also impressed it's lightly breaded and fried with a mushroom sauce over potato croquettes- what a comfort food with a twist. We had dinner at Manera's last night and had a wonderful meal!  My wife and I shared a salad special, she had the Baramundi fish special ($28), and I had the  chicken special that had a Chardonnay blood orange sauce ($24) that was absolutely wonderful. ..  the meal included a soup or a salad... we had the soup... my wife had a very tasty sweet potato soup that had  a bit of spicy heat while I had a shrimp bisque that was outstanding.  The portions were large and well worth the modest price...  my wife and I agreed that the dinner we had a much better value than any meal we have ever had  on LBI in over 35 years of vacationing there.  A salad with a meal is something we have never had on LBI and I have complained about that in many of my Yelp reviews of LBI restaurants.  our server was Christian and he did a great job helping us pick our meals.  Great value, well flavored food, we'll be back! Shame on me that I haven't written a review on Manera's till now. I have been coming here practically since they first opened. Living on LBI with so many wonderful restaurants, one might ask...why leave the island? Manera's is the answer. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. Here are a few of the entrees that have been tried: hanger steak, grilled pork chop, veal Milanese, and chicken franchise. If you are a fan of Caesar salad or French onion soup, it is well worth the up charge for either of them. If the timing is right for you, the early bird dinners also include coffee, dessert (I love the tortoni) beside the soup or salad.BYOB -A great meal - reasonably priced makes it easier to keep going back again and again and again. We were out for a day trip to the beach, we needed to see the ocean in March.  We headed home through Stafford NJ.  We found this restaurant on Yelp.  We just walked in, so they asked us if we had reservations.  Oops, so if you go, reservations are a good idea.  They were very kind and still gave us a table.  Our food was fantastic!  We started with an appetizer of oysters on the half shell,  they were very good.  My husband had  the Mussels and calamari marinara, which he really liked.  I had the eggplant parmigiana which was also very good.  Both were served over linguine.  The pasta was also fresh tasing.  All and all this was a great find!  The early bird special is by far an affordable meal.  Included salad and a dessert and coffee.   Our whole bill was under $50.  The service was right on, they were very nice there.  Thanks for the great meal !!  Ciao! DELICIOUS FOOD! My husband went for a night out and had the Baked Ricotta appetizer (so good w the lemon zest! But could have had a few more crostinis), salad, and entrees of the Stuffed Veal and Herb Encrusted Cod. Portion sizes were excellent and flavorful. Seriously one of the best meals we've had in a while. You must make reservations in advance (even calling the day of can be dicey for getting in at your ideal time). The space is tight and loud when the restaurant is full.  I wouldn't recommend bringing small children because of the size of the space, but they do provide booster seats. Service is fine. It is BYOD (nothing wrong with BYOD): you may need 2 bottles of wine to get you through the whole meal. I Food is a 5!Plan ahead and you will have an amazing meal. More...

Manera's was an excellent experience top to bottom. We were seated promptly upon entry, the restaurant had modern and clean aesthetic, and the atmosphere was friendly and warm. Our server was the only one working, and even while serving us and four other tables, he was able to work efficiently while maintaining patience to serve all of our needs. He did an excellent job. As for the food, all of it was superb. You could tell everything, from the bread and fried calamari apps, to the french onion soup and main entree's, was prepared and made fresh. Every bite was hot and delicious, the portions were enough, and the pricing just right. I was visiting family whom reside here, from Maryland. We were dining here for lunch today with my family before heading home, and this was by far the best restaurant we have visited in the Barnegat / Manahawkin area. Thank you so much. More...

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant.  It was our first time eating there and the food was excellent.  The woman who seated us was very friendly and the wait staff was extremely attentive.  The staff makes you feel like you are valued customers. Went last night with a party of 7... excellent food, all 7 dishes were cooked perfectly and very good... we found the pricing to be very reasonable. .. it's BYOB or you can buy wine that they sell...only two small hiccups, kitchen did get backed up and there was a wait for our entrees...but food came out piping hot and cooked to order so can't complain... older woman who is a hostess could use a little nicer personality, not a good first impression on the restaurant..
