The best Indian food in West Sac. The name might be confusing for some as Manchuria is in China, but this is so because they have Indian-style Chinese food (no, Panda Express isn't the universal version of Chinese food). So good! Tried this place for the first time yesterday and I will definitely be back!! We ordered one of the combos meals that come with 3 entrees and 2 sides and split that between 4 people. It was moreee than enough and we were not disappointed at ALL. The service was a bit slow but the quality of the food made up for it. Came here two nights in a row. The food was fresh, delicious and full of flavor. I've actually been wanting to try this place. Just so happens we were at Walmart and I saw the restaurant at first I thought they were closed. Then we walked in and of course they were open only for to go orders. Chef Shiva was very nice and pleasant he cooked everything to perfection. Service provided by Rashni was excellent. Can't wait to go back. I should tell you what else ordered. We have chicken and veggie momos, chicken and fish pakoras, chicken haka noodles, lamb curry, butter chicken, chicken fried rice, garlic naan, and the chicken curry this was from both days. I really liked this restaurant because it is nice, simple and the food is great. It took me a little bit of time to understand the ordering options but the nice lady up front was able to help me out. Every thing we ended up getting was on point, fresh and flavorful. The bread was made fresh as well and that I loved very much. This is an upcoming restaurant and they have come a long way and promise to make it better. I love their butter chicken, chicken curry, chili chicken, garlic naan and paan shake. The food keeps getting better and better everytime I go. I've tried many Indian restaurants, and this has got to be one of the best. Both the onion and garlic naan are delicious. The bottom has a nice crisp to it, while the top is amazingly fluffy and full of flavor.Now my favorite: the butter chicken. What I love about it is that it's creamy but it doesn't lose it's flavor. The boldness of the spices are still there, the cream doesn't "water it down", so to speak.The gulab jamun here is probably the best one I've ever had. The outside has a nice crisp to it while the inside was super moist. The syrup is perfect. It's not too heavy, it's sweet but not overly sweet.And let's not forget about the staff. I've been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks and each time has been great. Ignore the low reviews... I'm an uptight foodie and I love this place. My favorites are the eggplant, veggie balls, orange sauce from the butter chicken on my rice, and garlic naan. And I pour the green sauce and sweet sauce from the relish bar on my food... I won a gift certificate through Instagram, who knew people actually won things on there? I work near by and decided, perfect for lunch! I love the concept, decor was modern and clean inside. It does remind me of Chipotle and Panda Express for Indian food. Everything would've gone perfect, except it took 10-15 mins after I've ordered to get my side of veggies. It wasn't like they seasoned it or anything just plain steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and bell peppers. Other than that, friendly service, flavorful food and I'll probably come back to try other entrees. I guess they changed their menu because I didn't see some of the dishes pictured on Yelp (hakka noodles, fried rice, chilli chilli chicken, etc.)I ordered an eggplant dish (I love eggplant, but it was just okay), chickpeas (good flavor), chicken tikka masala (great when I dip my veggies into the sauce). Came in at 3pm on tuesday with some friends & will be back ! As soon as i walked in i was greated & welcomed in. I dont usually eat indian food but i decided to give it a shot here. Dropped in with a really hungry family. The Curry's are premade and served buffet style. We all ordered the 9.99 plate which gives 4 curries, plus rice or naan bread. Everything was really good. Stopped by this new restaurant today and was very impressed. The restaurant is clean and the staff is so friendly. If you're wondering what Hakka food is don't be afraid to try items, the staff was great at explaining things and giving samples. Their orange chicken is really good, it has more of a homemade fresh taste, everything I tasted was good and seasoned well. I will definitely come back to get a more unique dish like the paneer chili. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend trying it out! 12/17 updating review for the new Indian menu. Visited the restaurant today and they had a "grand re-opening", apparently they reworked their whole menu and went from asian-indian to all Indian cuisine. This place is very clean, reasonably priced, and unique. There's no other place like this in West Sac, It reminds me of an Indian version of Panda Express. The tandoori chicken was amazing and full of flavor, I also got one of each of their chicken dishes because I got an extra for their grand opening (Butter chicken, chicken curry, and chicken tikka) the chicken tikka was flavorful and delicious, the butter chicken was good overall but didn't have enough flavor, the chicken curry was great in flavor but the chicken felt odd compared to the other dishes that had lean chicken. Recommendations to restaurant management - Change chicken from chicken curry to same as chicken tikka; Add more flavor to butter chicken; and make the rice have some more flavor instead of just plain rice maybe change it to a pilau rice. Pristine, tasty, conveniently located, friendly staff . We were party of 2, each ordered Munch bowl ($6.99), which had 1 side ( to choose a side, they even gave samples) and 1 main dish (veg. We were finally able to try this place out. It pretty much is an Indo-Chinese food version of Panda Express or Chipotle. We went around 6:30p and we were one of two parties there. The very nice worker offered samples and took orders, as business has been a bit slow the food is all made to order fresh and it's not laid out In the warmers like Panda or Chipotle, which was a plus as it was fresh and hot when it came out! We got a three entree plate, Manchurian chicken (fried chicken in house made ginger sauce), black pepper chicken (basically a stirfry) and chili paneer with a side of Hakka noodles. The food was very flavorful, Manchurian chicken was my fav whereas my wife loved the other two entrees. Could have used a little more flavor on the Hakka noodles (maybe more turmeric?). They're OK, basically Panda Express but I'd say the food tastes a little more fresh. It's totally dead on a Saturday at 6:00, so ordering was super fast. The line at Panda during this time literally wraps around the inside of the restaurant. My family has dined at Manchurian Hakka a half dozen times as of writing this, and the food quality and freshness continues to improve at every visit. I'm truly impressed with how clean the restaurant always is. The meat dishes are quite tasty, and the veggies are fresh and never overcooked. The staff are kind and genuinely happy to serve new customers. We've had good experiences every time and will continue to dine there, and I'm grateful to have halal dining options in West Sacramento. My daughter and I tried this place for a quick lunch. I got the teryaki chicken and Gobi Manchurian (fried Cauliflower) and noodles. Food was fresh and hot. This spot is like a Manchurian version of Panda Express with all the food already made and ready to scoop into your plate. Essentially it's like Chinese food with Indian flavors combined.Hakka noodles: C+Decent but kind of lackluster in terms of flavor. Kind of just like chow mein.Gobi Manchurian / Manchurian chicken: BPretty unique sauce with it being spicy and sweet. The chicken I liked way more and there were big chunks of white meat.
