Even though I'm a manager at a competitive corporate pizza company, I love the real N. Y. Style pizza. When I can get off early enough on a Sunday I order 2 Sicilian pies and freeze them. I'll reheat on a low temp in the toaster oven and it taste like I just got it from the restaurant. I only wish they were in my area. AMAZING! Me and my boyfriend went for dinner last night and had a wonderful time. It was very busy and everything smelled delightful. My one complaint is when we walked In we did not know if we needed to sit ourselves or wait until someone came to seat us. Sarah was our waitress and she was just a joy. I saw some reviews about the service being bad... but for us it was amazing! Our drinks were always filled and we were treated very well by everyone. We got two pasta dishes that were to die for. Today for our 47th Anniversary, we decided to go try Mama Romano's and the food is amazing and authentic (And we lived in Sicily for 3 years). Our server added an extra special touch on our cake plate by writing Happy Anniversary and drawing a cute little kitten and several hearts.
Tammy the owner came to our table to wish us a Happy Anniversary and took the time to chat with us.

I always order the combo that comes with the Cheese Pizza, soda, garlic bread and wings. The pizza is not too thick and has a PERFECT taste. Love the sauce and cheese on it. Nothing too overwhelming on the pizza. I could eat the whole box in one sitting if you let me. Pretty crispy crust as well. I get the wings with the Italian sauce which gives it a unique garlicky taste. VERY YUMMY! Other things in the menu that are good is the fettuccine Alfredo pasta and fried ravioli!

The only thing I don't like from their menu so far is the coffee. It is over priced and not even that much coffee to fill a small tea cup. This place ALWAYS gets my order correctly so I really trust them.

Make sure to order marinara sauce if you get the garlic bread because it doesn't come with it. More...

Food was delicious and food prices are fair except for the price for the fountain drinks that’s why I didn’t give a 5 star review.

This is my first but not last visit to this little hole in the wall. I stopped in for a quick sit down lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the selection and prices of their lunch specials.

I ordered their Greek salad and slice of today’s stuffed pizza special and a fountain drink. The combo was only $6.50 but the Fountain drink was $2.99. The staff is very friendly and attentive always asking if I needed anything and always eager to refill my drink;

The salad was fresh with big chucks of feta cheese. The stuffed pizza was perfectly golden brown on the outside and the stuffing was filed with chunks of sausage, beef, and pepperoni. There was the perfect amount of melted cheese and tasty tomato sauce.with a crispy crust. It was served with a side of tasty tomato sauce for dipping. The serving size was they perfect size for lunch.

I would definitely recommend this for both eat in and take out as long as you are aware of the price of the fountain drink. They cheerfully refilled it 3 times, so i got my money’s worth but I wanted to “warn” others in case you’re on a budget. More...

Nice surprise after spending the day at Kennedy Space center. Didn't want to fight the crowds closer to Disney so we googled the area just to the east and found Mama's on Landstar Blvd. Very good pasta and marinara sauce, tasty garlic rolls, and good, friendly service. Mama Romano's is the place to eat if you want true Italian food. The flavors are amazing. The food is fresh. The owner, Paul, contacted me about a previous review. Frankly, I was impressed that someone contacted me.  He listened to my observations and concerns, made no excuses, and asked if I'd give them another chance.  Of course I would.  We BOTH benefit by a great Italian restaurant!I played this one differently, avoiding the Yelp-delivery service to eliminate that as a cause of the previous experience.  The manager knew I was coming, but did NOT know about the prior review (in other words, not 'false effort.').  Finally, I asked Paul to pick the entree.Here's what was different:  (1) Enough staff to cover the order desk, wait-tables, and kitchen. I walked in behind two other customers; someone walked up and manned the 2d register. (2) Music NOT louder than an F 15 jet on takeoff. (3) Employees smiled when they spoke to customers. (4) Pickup was ready exactly on time. (5) Really good entree; read on.As for the food:  This meal was Alla Vodka pasta with grilled chicken  Real prosciutto, the sauce just-marinara'd enough to give it zing, and the cheese was toasted on top, not just sprinkled on. While this was my first Alla Vodka, the meal as good as I've had at places where I paid more. I finished it before I realized I'd finished it, only realizing it "musta been good" when I was sopping up the sauce with the rolls. By the way, the rolls were toasted, with soft centers, and warm even after I arrived home.  Therefore, I blame the prior cold rolls on a timing issue with Yelp.  I was too full for the salad, but it is clearly fresh and will stay so until lunch tomorrow.   I predicted 3-4 stars before I picked up my meal.  This visit rated 5 stars.  Four because all restaurants that meet expectations are a 3, excellent value for taste (not quantity) is +1, and only those that leave me delightfully surprised get the 5th star.  Paul's honest concern and more importantly - seeing a lively staff interested in providing good service (I was watching everyone's service) left me with a totally different experience - and one that aligns more with others' Yelp reviews.  Thanks for calling, Paul - As I said in our conversation, Mama R's is no longer on my normal commute route, but I'll divert to pickup Italian. Huge portions for a great price. Didn't try the pizza but I'm sure it would taste great considering the pasta dishes were amazing. Ordered the penne a la vodka and it came with a soup or salad. Typically I'm not a fan of pasta fagioli soup or beans but the combination of ingredients in the soup worked really well. The garlic bread was garlicky goodness. The only thing I would say that was a miss was the tiramisu dessert that came out semi-frozen.  The restaurant is not that big and only had about 10 tables so beware that they can get busy sometimes. I'm originally from Fort Lauderdale but me and my boyfriend came to Orlando to look at buying a house, when it came to picking something up for dinner we came across this place. .. and oh mannn it was so good. I ordered the Parmesan encrusted chicken with a noodle choice of angle hair. Best restaurant  ever! Food is always great, management is great also! I love the customer service that is always given to me, never fail to put a smile on my face! ! My favorite dish for me is the lasagna and my daughter is the spaghetti and meatball from the kiddo menu, also the food portion is awesome as well. Everybody loves Pizza. Pizza is considered to be delicious. Why is Pizza considered to be delicious?-- Evolution, my friend. Many members of what I like to call the "health-conscious elite" insist that junk foods are "bad." However, they are incorrect. Junk foods are an achievement of mankind. It means we, as a species have evolved to the point in which we now value the actual deliciousness of the food we eat. I associate those who keep track of their health as being somewhat disabled-- of the tongue. Don't be like these people. Onto the actual review of Mama Romano's. I've lived in the area for 2 years now... and I am not exaggerating when I say I eat here at least once a week. I live right across from the plaza, super convenient! I typically order their BBQ wings and Philly Cheese Steak (best cheese steak I've ever had). They are my absolute favorite. When I want to switch it up, I go with the spicy chicken penne pasta. Anytime friends and/or family are in town, we ALWAYS hit up mamas. The staff is AWESOME! Since I eat there so often, I've grown very familiar with them. I even know all the cooks by name. It is family owned... the owners son -Josh- is very hands on. I've seen him in the back cooking, to taking orders, to wiping down the tables. Awesome to witness leadership. Met his father a few times (owner of Mamas), and he is equally as awesome. Talks to you like he's known you for years. Very down to Earth.In short... Amazing food! I was traveling and found this place on yelp and it wins my vote. Had the Pasta Fagioli soup, garlic knots and chopped salad.
