At Mala Child & Family Institute, we believe that every community deserves to have a place dedicated to supporting children and families, built on the principle that every family, no matter the background or presenting issues, deserves a compassionate, caring, and resourceful village to help them repair, grow, and thrive. We also believe that access to high quality, evidence-based mental health care for children and families should not be so hard to find. That’s why we tailor every service to each client’s unique needs so they can experience the best possible gains. ​
And what is a point of a village if it doesn’t offer advocacy work? Children need advocates in every setting they function in, and so do families. Maybe a child is finding learning challenging, or maybe a family member is experiencing major medical issues, or maybe a parent is having a hard time finding their child the resources that they need. Whatever is the issue, you are not alone. We are your ally in the fight to address the problem at hand and form a life that feels good to you. Let us fight for you, it’s what we were made to do.
But why stop there? Why not make a serious commitment to training the next generation of practitioners who are passionate about working with children and families? Accessing high quality training opportunities with youth and families should not feel impossible. So we decided to do something about it. That’s why 1/3 of our efforts go directly towards providing education, training, and supervision to child & family mental health providers.
