Jessica is the BEST with my dogs!! She is the only one I trust to watch them, either for dog walking, overnights, or daycare. Jessica loves my dogs like they're her own and I would never want anyone else to watch them. Jessica is EXTREMELY experienced with all kinds of dogs, especially large, bully breeds. You honestly couldn't make a better decision by having her be a part of your dog's life. I'd give her 10 stars if that was an option! More...

My husband and I weren’t looking for another dog seeing as we already had 2 but a few of our friends have adopted a few dogs from this rescue and had awesome experiences and have nothing but nice things to say and ended up with friendly/amazing dogs. So we kept and open mind and when we saw ace aka brownie we knew we had to meet him. So we reached out and Jessica was awesome and very knowledgeable, we have little kids as well so we got to set up a meet and greet with them and our other dogs and Ace nailed it I wanted to take him home that day. We went home to “think about it” I messaged Jessica and she brought him to our house that was over and hour away. Ace fits right in and we couldn’t be any happier with adding him to our family. You can tell everyone involved with this rescue has a huge heart for these dogs and want nothing but the best for all of them. We adopted our Audney almost a year ago from Big Hair Animal Rescue. She has brought us joy, laughter, and love. The adoption process was easy and we were able to ask and have answered all the many questions we had about Audney. What was most notable for us was that we were able to stay connected to Big Hair via Jessica Ann and continue to ask questions and advice or to share stories and pictures long after the adoption. We really feel like every pet that comes through this rescue is loved and cared for individually, that their true personalities are realized, appreciated, and matched to their potential fosters/adopters, and they are thought of, inquired about, and loved long after their adoption. That means a lot to us personally. Big Hair Animal Rescue has not only brought us our perfect girl Audney, they have also connected us in many ways to the rescue community. We applied looking for the best fit to bring our Wolfpack to three dogs. With BHAR’s help in the introduction, “Jenna” was welcomed into the family from our other two rescue pups. What can I say?.... I saw I dog that I had interest in. Filled out an application for her and within a day I got a callback! Big hair was very thorough and did their due diligence, and within a few days, I was meeting the dog that is currently lounging on my living room floor. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Luna (formerly Petunia) into our home. She’s been home with us for a little over two weeks and we can’t picture life without her. Luna was the missing piece to our little family we didn’t know was missing. She has brought so much light and happiness over the past few weeks to not only Mike and I’s life but to Boulder’s as well. In the short amount of time we have had her, she has learned to sit courtesy of watching boulder. We have a long way to go as far as teaching her manners but we couldn’t be happier with our decision to adopt her into our family. She loves giving kisses, cuddling and getting her belly rubbed. Luna & Boulder instantly hit it off and Luna without a doubt loves Boulder. Boulder let’s her clean him (licks his ears & paws) and even lets her sit right on him as you can see from the photo. Boulder & Luna are the best of friends and we can tell that Boulder is just as happy with our decision to adopt Luna as we are. Luna came to us through Jessica at Big Hair Animal Rescue Inc. and before adopting she answered any and all questions we had. She even allowed for us to take Luna home for a trial run to make sure it was a good fit before making a final decision. She also gave some solid advice in regards to collars we should be using instead of a harness. Jessica is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. She made the adoption process super easy & we will certainly work with her in the future if we decide to add a 3rd fur baby to our family. Several months ago I started to foster for BHAR. They are amazing. Jessica is response, knowledgeable and has a gift for finding my babies the perfect family’s. I have people ask how I can let them go.... truth is they all take a piece of my heart, but I mentioned Jessica has a gift for pairing dogs with their perfect families, this makes it so much easier to let them go. She sends food, meds, treats and what ever I ask for immediately, not in a couple of days, right now. She even sent treats for my personal fur kids. She is there for support with training, quirks and just general got your back stuff. I want to note also that Jessica supports other rescues, in a world where there is much bashing, back biting or one up man ship, she acts with the utmost integrity. Please, please foster. When we wanted to adopt a puppy last spring, we filled out dozens of adoption applications. Most rescues never got back to us, took too long to respond, or would respond only to say that the pup we were interested in was no longer up for adoption. Big Hair Animal Rescue not only responded quickly, but was diligent in their communication with us throughout the whole process. We were interested in a few pups they had at the time, and they were very careful to ensure that we were matched with the right pup. on Tuesday 9/11/2018 we adopted Ace (since renamed to Fen). Jessica, Annie, Martha were incredible to work with. they were attentive, understanding, quick to respond and generally just lovely people. I TNR (trap, neuter, release) feral cats in Queens, NY. With TNR, comes kittens and abandoned friendly adults. Big Hair Animal Rescue has been my God send. We will forever be grateful to Jessica & Big Hair for allowing us to add our dog Bernice to our family! Apart from being an adorable dog, we appreciated the information they provided about her personality- being very child friendly, as well as having lived with both cats & other dogs, since having a mellow but social dog was important to us. Even though Bernice was being fostered in Arkansas, Big Hair transported her here to us & set up a meet & greet so we could be sure she would be a great fit for our family. Having to fill out an application & have our home visited before getting to meet Bernice only reassured us that Big Hair was a rescue truly concerned with the best interest of their animals.
