My friend and I were invited to a Great Gatsby themed wedding and decided to splurge on make up application. We were so privileged to be able to use the services of Sofia. One of the first things that she told us what is that she had been researching make- up used in that era. She also asked our opinions and made sure that we were in agreement with the look she envisioned. She had a lovely personality and the surroundings were calm and serene. Sofia did my makeup for a friends wedding (all the bridesmaids & bride) and did the most amazing job. Amazing is actually an understatement. It genuinely does NOT get any better than Sofia Bourkovski. Aside from being super easy to work with and having a personality that makes you feel like she could be your best friend, Sofia is simply the most talented makeup artist i've ever hired, don't let her young age fool you. All of my bridesmaids didn't stop raving about how beautiful they felt for MONTHS, and I still look back on photos and think "wait- was that actually me/my face?" Aside from making myself and everyone in my bridal party look like supermodels, Sofia is also incredibly well-versed and confident in her abilities. For example, after my engagement photo shoot session I told her I think I may have too much highlighter on. She said "It's for the photos, just trust me, they will turn out amazing". So reluctantly I did, and you know what? she was 100% right. They came out AMAZINGGGGG because of that. Sofia knew exactly what she was doing and let me know immediately that she did. Most makeup artists would try to change it immediately, but she knew better than I did. I'm so glad I trusted her. Lastly, I have to credit Sofia's flexibility on my wedding day. I miscalculated the amount of girls she needed to do, and as she was leaving I realized- my mother-in-law didnt get her makeup done!!! I absolutely panicked, but Sofia made a few calls to her next client, and stayed longer to do my mother-in-law without more than a few seconds of hesitation. I will forever be so grateful to her for her kindness and flexibility during that time. At the end of the day- if you're looking for an artist that is as talented, professional, personable as it gets- look no further. I had about a dozen trials done before booking Sofia, and not one compares. She's amazing! More...
