Had a great trial run with Dana, was then hard to get a hold of Traci, the owner, the week leading up to my wedding - short 1-word responses until 2 DAYS before my wedding she finally tells me Dana can't make it, ended up sending me 3 amateurs who completely screwed up by not putting primer on any of us and ALL 9 of us- me, my bridesmaids, mom AND MIL were a cakey, flakey, DRY MESS.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. This cost me $480 for the trial and $2044 for the day-of, PLUS a $300 "non-refundable" deposit fee. TOTAL SCAM.
When I tried to contact Traci, she first tried threatening me with her lawyer, then tried to backtrack, only to ultimately block me and cower out of trying to make any sort of amends aside from offering me 50% off of FUTURE services. Are you kidding me??? YOU couldn't pay ME to sit through that again! Get real lady! She knows she sent me complete amateurs and that's why she blocked me instead of at least giving me a partial refund, which is something any bsuiness with an ounce of integrity would do. I will for sure be reporting this to the FTC as well as the BBB.
Now here are the details
I made sure to take up close pics of my tri all day throughout the day, including in direct sunlight and even at night to make sure it lasted all through the day - and it did. It was absolutely FLAWLESS all day, not a SINGLE cakey flake in sight, and my braid and curls lasted through the whole day. Dana is clearly that ACTUAL professional here. I wish she hadn't cancelled on me two days before my wedding.
I actually had to do my own braid because apparently none of the 3 amateurs knew how to braid (even though I sent Bre multiple inspo pics of what I wanted in advance). They also forgot to bring lipstick. They did not have the colors that Dana used at all, and Bre whipped out only 2 lip glosses that looked nothing like my skin tone or remotely close to the colors Dana had used. I had to use my own emergency backup lip color, which was kind of dark but the only one I brought since I was going to use it in the evening for touch-ups.
Now, the cakiness was apparent RIGHT away, and my curls in my hair did not even last me walking onto the aisle.
AND Bre got the airbrush in my hair, too... It was too late before I noticed it. It looked like a gray streak in my hair for half the day.
Not to mention the fact that ALL 9 of my bridesmaids, mother AND mother-in-law-to-be all independently each came to tell me the SAME THING; THEIR MAKEUP WAS DRY AND CAKEY. And some were too dark/orange in the face.
3 of them had skin breakouts/rashes/reactions, I was told the makeup "artists" did NOT use any primer, applicators and did NOT CLEAN THEIR BRUSHES BETWEEN PEOPLE.
THIS IS NOT PROFESSIONAL WORK.
All of my bridesmaids were upset with their makeup.
They told me crayons were being used!
The brushes were not being cleaned, no applicators used, hot pinks in place of neutral mauves, LINES OF GLITTER where no one asked for any!
My black bridesmaid said they did not know how to do her makeup and made her look pale/dead, and that they added heat to her hair after she specifically told them NOT to.
Amongst so many other issues that all added up.
I am starting to wonder if this was all some kind of cruel joke?
II tried to ask for a partial refund, but was ultimately threatened with lawyer talk, given countless excuses - from accusing me of having bad skin to the weather being the issue (LOL, the weather was literally perfect that day high of 72 with low humidity) - and ultimately told to talk to the other makeup "artist" Bre and then BLOCKED
me, who also then promptly blocked me. :|

I always hear horror stories of people redoing their hair and make up after they’ve had it done as I did with my sisters wedding but me and all my girls loved how our hair and makeup turned out and didn’t need to even touch it up the whole night. The girls were super outgoing , understanding and flexible. Each of my girls got exactly what they asked more which someone’s is hard to do to please so many girls! Traci was a pleasure to work with for my wedding day and planning the beauty services for my wedding. As a bride during Covid-19, navigating the execution of a wedding is uncertain and you need to be prepared for anything. Traci is a professional, cares about her clients, and she is incredibly talented! The day of my wedding, Bre and Ashley were our makeup and hair stylists. They were friendly, energetic, and got along great with my family and bridal party. Bre and Ashley were attentive to the vision we had for styling. We all felt beautiful! I loved working with Traci for our Nov 2019 wedding. She sometimes took a while to answer emails, but she was so flexible and great overall that I didn’t mind. I wasn’t crazy about the trial run (my makeup looked great, but I didn’t really get a sense of what my hair would do since Deb curled it, half styled it, and then undid it so it would be a surprise but I wanted to make sure it held up all day... If I could go back, I wouldn’t waste my money on the trial, just book and trust that they know what to do). They arrived ready and on time the day of the wedding and beautified everyone very quickly. Deb did everyone’s hair and left an hour before Traci did (which I thought was odd... made it seem like she was in a hurry), but Traci stayed and chatted and made sure everyone got touch ups before she left so we appreciated all her hard work to make sure her work was perfect. Everyone’s hair/makeup stayed in place all day. My girls, my mom, and I all felt so beautiful. I can NOT thank Traci enough for coming out to do our wedding!! She is no joke- the bomb! She cuts right through the bs and I LOVE IT! She not only did our hair and makeup for our ENTIRE wedding party, but she also helped me plan and coordinate my wedding as well… I cannot literally thank her enough!!!!! In fact, her and her team are coming back for part two in 2021 and we cannot wait! She made everything so effortless… I was scrambling trying to find vendors at the last minute because of this COVID-19 pandemic and Traci helped me through the biggest crisis of my life!!! She helped me find my venue, florist, photographer DJ and even our invitations last minute!!!!! Traci did my wedding with her coworker Diane and they did an amazing job I cannot say enough great things about them! I knew it would be awesome they arrived on time set up was smooth the day went so smooth they allowed for extra time just in case and we were done two hours ahead of schedule!
Plus we had 11 ladies getting both hair and make up services not only did my day of come true but the whole process with working with Makeup And Hair By Traci and The salon‘s Weddings was seamless!! I booked her right away from a referral that I had gotten and paid my deposit booked my trial and was blown away I don’t wear a lot of make up ever and she made me look flawless so I could not even imagine what my wedding day would be... they had exceeded all of my expectations and beyond! After reading some of the reviews on Wedding Wire website I did not get distracted by a few negative comments because I know how stressful it is to plan a wedding and execute. They were so very very nice and accommodating and I must say that Traci is very very professional and extremely responsive!! She got back to me every single time I reached out to her within minutes unlike all of my other vendors LOL!

While I think Traci was very nice and fun to sit and gab with, I was not happy with my pretrial, she did not do as I had asked giving me a full updo instead of the half up half down style I was wanting. She assured me that on the wedding day everything would be fine. At the end of my pretrial I had paid a $200 deposit plus $150 for the trial run. The initial agreement was 7 bridesmaids, myself and 3 junior bridesmaids. The day before she was surprised by the numbers. This had been previously discussed and she even laughed at the pretrial about how this was a real life My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I was nervous but still went forward with having her do hair and makeup for the bridal party. She arrived on time with an assistant. It quickly became clear that she would not be able to get the junior bridesmaids hair done so my bridesmaids were doing the girls hair instead. I was extremely disappointed as we're the girls that were looking forward to getting their done. During the entire process both Traci and her assistant continually accused girls of not paying when in fact they paid in full plus tip. I tried to ignore the drama and focus on my day. My wedding was in October. In December I received 2 separate emails containing receipts for services ftom traci. Each receipt was for $200. I was paid out and done with all dealings at this point. I immediately texted traci and she assured me it was a mistake and charges would be reversed. They never were. Add insult to injury, she did the same again today for another $171.45. Again... I have had no dealings with her since October and owe her nothing, but I am stuck with a drained account and the fees associated with it. On top of it all she fraudulently signed my name to all of the receipts. There is a serious lack of professionalism with her business. I strongly caution anyone considering her services. Traci did my pretrial and was very timely and nice. My makeup looked nice. However, the pretrial lasted for 4 hours!!! . ..and by the end of it, she still had not completed one half-up/half-down hairstyle as I requested. She tried different things and then took it down saying, "I don't like the way that looks." It just really didn't seem as though she had the experience she claimed to have. She finished the pretrial by pinning my curls into an updo and saying, "Don't worry, it will be great the day of your wedding. I'll get it then." That made me a little nervous, but I still paid her $150 plus a $20 tip for her time. I decided that I would rather not risk it taking another 4 hours to do my hair/makeup on my actual wedding day, so I kindly texted her and said that I have decided to go a different route and requested my $200 deposit back which she had initially stressed was refundable pending my pretrial. However, as soon as I told her I did not want to utilize her services, she took it personally, and said it was now nonrefundable because within the week or so that she held my deposit that I gave her prior to the pretrial she had turned away 30++ weddings for the same date. In addition, I was "screwing her by 'pulling this'." Interesting... I went back to her facebook album of styles "she has done" and noticed the same pictures that she was pulling up through a pinterest search at the pretrial. I decided to put a few of them into google images, and lo and behold, hundreds of duplicates popped up. No wonder she couldn't actually create anything close to the styles I requested off of her FB album. My communication with her was very cordial, but she decided that it wasn't worth her time as a professional to discuss this situation with me or to try to come to an agreement even though I was more than willing to work with her. Instead, she is ignoring me. This review is nothing personal, I think she is a nice person, she just does business poorly, and I would hate for anyone else to be deceived and "screwed" out of $370 like I was. More...
