Majesty Tours On Main

We’ve toured with Majesty Wine Tours three times now! The tour starts with them picking you up at your Airbnb, which is amazing! Then off you go to your first destination. We’ve done the Ruby Tour each time which includes three tastings and it’s been great for us since we really don’t know which wineries we do and do not like. All of our drivers have been so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. This last tour, we got extremely lucky and my husband and I were the only ones there! All is can say is read and look no further, this is the wine tour you should book!!! Absolutely adored this service! I am an avid yelp reviewer and honestly don't go anywhere before reading a review so you best believe I looked at all the tour options before booking this one. We purchased the sapphire tour and went to three wineries: English newsom (coolest winery I've ever been to), safari, and wildseed . The sprinter van we were picked up in was clean and Ronnie was a great driver. Lunch was delicious at one of the restaurants in town. Timing was perfect. We spent more time driving between locations than enjoying the location. They took us to a dive bar in Johnson City. This spot was horrible. This was NOT a tour. We made the most out of the experience but felt cheated, rushed, and disappointed. The website pics do not reflect what we experienced. We would have been better off Ubering to places nearby. On August 25, 2021, I booked a private tour for 5 on Saturday Oct 2. It included 4 winery stops, with lunch and tastings. We were flying in from San Francisco, Chicago and Omaha . Having never been to Fredericksburg, we looked for guidance on favorite stops. Whomever answers the phone for this company is unhelpful, rude, short  and clearly hates  her job. She offered no helpful advice and was put out with all of my questions.I kept the booking, we decided on our own stops, emailed as directed and received NO response as to whether they were able to book our winery selections. I NEVER did get them to respond to an email nor did they phone calls.7 days prior to arrival, I left 4 voicemails and still no return call.  THREE DAYS prior to arrival  I received a call from this same b*tchy lady now telling me our drivers wife had Covid and we had 2 options...cancel or join a group tour of 18-20 (but she could not tell me which wineries we would visit). She finally confirmed we had reservations at our chosen wineries but we could NOT USE THEM and she was canceling them no matter we decided.   (whaaat???)When I tried to negotiate to keep them if we found our own driver... SHE SAID 'I'M CANCELING YOUR TOUR' and she HUNG UP ON ME!That left us with nothing 3 days prior to arrival during Fredericksburg's busiest Oktoberfest weekend.Fast forward a few hours of scrambling to call wineries and drivers explaining this horrible Majesty Tours actions....We ended up at the same wineries with a very pleasant privately hired van driver and here is the best part.....Majesty's price was $1843 and we spent $897 DOING IT OURSELVES ( and this is an apples to apples comparison)!  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are a huge rip off and are so rude and unprofessional.I could never get a hold of the owners but Fredericksburg people talk and I know they are sisters KK and Kayla.  I hope you two read this and I wish you'd call me. Our tour was horrible. I would NEVER recommend this company. Our tour guide Lisa looked like she had just woke up - dressed in wrinkled clothes and dirty plastic flip flops. She did not know how to get to our second winery and had to look it up on a map and didn't know anything about the second winery. We were just dropped off at the gate to the winery and we had to figure out where to go and the winery had no idea why we were there and complained that Majesty tours doesn't tip them any of the $46 we were forced to automatically tip Majesty tours and the tour guides are whiny and pushy. At the dinner the restaurant tried to make us pay for our one free drink and only covered the food until we pointed it out that our drink should be included. None of us on the tour could figure out what we were paying for - basically we each paid $200 for a shuttle in a dirty van. Also the second winery spent a large amount of time trying to sell us a bottle of wine instead of letting us enjoy the wine tasting. More...

Rough experience this weekend with majesty. They never notified us that one of our requested wineries was unavailable, took us to a cheesy bar place with TERRIBLE wine instead - rather than letting us chose something more fitting. Then we had lunch at their restaurant- buyer be ware of the menu. It's written well but the food was cold, overcooked, and bland. Finally as we were ending our tour, the driver kept talking about how he needed to 'GO' and rushing us out the door. He also appeared very annoyed at any music choices, had no cold water and said he didn't have any ice. The vehicle was a bare van, not any limo style transportation like advertised. For $1600/6 people this was $1000 overpriced. I've tried to get ahold of the company to discuss the experience and they aren't answering. More...

Booked this for my mom and I. Our bus driver Guido was great. He was very accommodating, professional and helpful and kept us on schedule. He contacted me prior to picking us up. He was on time and clearly communicated with us. The wineries we went to were good. would highly recommend Majestic for anyone wanting to do a wine tour in Fredericksburg. More...
