The catering is superb. We had a taco bar, cheese & cracker set up and white sangria at my bridal shower last weekend. I am super huge taco critic-my favorite! !! (hence the reason we had a taco bar ) and I’ve gotta say...best tacos ever! They’re DELISH. The sangria was also the best I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely amazing. The set up of the food was so professional and looked great! Even better though...the service. Jaqueline(spelling?) was our head catering staff member and she made sure my drink was full at all times and also brought me plates of food. She was genuine, sweet and so hard working. I didn’t catch the other 2 girls names but they were great too! I would totally 100% recommend main & market for catering and I can not wait to use them again. Had Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner catered with them. Food was amazing, my guests all raved about it AND I got to enjoy my guests and not be stuck in the kitchen. Win-win all the way around.

The Main Ingredient provided appetizers, dinner, and finger desserts for our wedding reception at the USNA Alumni House.
First off, Main Ingredient works flawlessly with the Alumni House team- you can tell MI and the Alumni House have a long established professional relationship. Debra answered all of my questions and was quick to make changes to our order.
Main Ingredient provided a great tasting- even accommodating my bridesmaid at the last minute so I could have a second opinion- and was willing to work with us for minor changes to their menu items- no starch, more seasoning for the veggies, replacing the cheese on the salad. The lamb lollipops were divine, and our crab cakes & filet dinner was perfect. For sides, the asparagus with balsamic reduction were so good and the roasted veggies were so flavorful. My family likes to eat so I can attest there was plenty of food for all! I also recommend the pear salad and for finger desserts, the lemon bars & mini pecan pies were a big hit!
My mom & I made the wedding cake, and the Main Ingredient crew was still willing to help cut & serve the cake- even though it wasn't theirs! Main Ingredient is an Annapolis institution- I highly recommend their food and services.

Undoubtedly the best restaurant we have eaten at in the Annapolis area. We found this place by chance and ended up eating there for breakfast and dinner the remainder of our time in Annapolis (5 consecutive visits in 3 days). Cathy the manager was absolutely delightful. Main Ingredient recently a Christmas family party including vegetarians and children, expected to last for around 7 hours. On very short notice, they put together a fabulous menu proposal that would suit all the guests. I opted for the "drop & go" service as we wanted a simple buffet for family only. The delivery service included setting up a beautiful food display, all serving utensils and serving trays with the food arranged ready for the party. The only thing I had to provide napkins, plates and eating utensils. The food was beyond delicious, with innovative pairings exquisitely displayed. We had family in from Idaho & Nebraska. The Main Ingredient was recommended by a co-worker who's sons both attended The Naval Academy. We were all more than pleased with the apps & entrees. Caesar salad dressing was phenomenal...dressing was not overpowering. Filet mignon was fabulous, crab & artichoke dip was also delicious. Pork shanks, penned pasta with crab & lobster, chicken sandwich, shrimp & grits, Octoberfest special, and the Millstone with chicken...we had them all, and no one was disappointed, or left hungry. Relatively new to the area we have just recently discovered M&M, we have visited for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My wife and I and all the family members absolutely love the restaurant! The service and food is exceptional. I've called for reservations a few times, the impeccable service starts there, everyone at the restaurant is so nice. The management obviously hires and trains well. I like the fact you can either get a salad, sandwich or an excellent steak as well as many specials for dinner, the selections are numerous. Leave some room for dessert, if you haven't been wowed by your entree the cakes will certainly make you a fan! More...

We went for breakfast on Mothers Day. We arrived early as we anticipated a crowd as we had in the past. We got a table immediately. I had the eggs Benedict which were phenomenal and hubby had the steak and eggs. He said it was good, steak was nice and tender. We both had a glass of Oj which we normally don't drink because of the sugar but it was delicious. At have been freshly squeezed. For dessert we each had a sticky bun which we normally don't indulge in because of the carbs and sugar but we did yesterday and they did not disappoint. It's all about balance. My only complaint was our server did not bring the check and we had to ask another server to find her so we could pay. Manager finally came over with it. I went to breakfast there with 2 friends the other day. We started off with coffee and tea. The coffee was very good. We decided to split the Snickerdoodle French Toast as an app. Our server knew we were sharing so she asked the kitchen to serve it on 3 separate plates. That was such a kind unexpected act that we really appreciated. That French Toast was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed it from first bite to last. I admit, I did everything in my power to get every last bit. Yum! My one friend had never had a Benedict so she ordered the original. She will be ordering more of them now. My other friend ordered the "Southern" Benedict and loved it with the creamed chipped beef and sausage. I ordered the Crab Stack Benedict with avocado, corn salsa, crab, & hollandaise on a cheddar grit polenta cake~ it was the perfect breakfast (and lunch). All the flavors married perfectly. We took our time with talking, laughing, & eating and never felt rushed. Thank you to our server for taking such good care of us and making us feel welcome!!! Normally, an excellent meal here.
But tonight's Sausage Plate missed the mark. I couldn't understand how the pierogies could be so tough and dried out.
A replacement order looked no better. I'd never heard of deep-fried pierogies. The cooking method ruined them.
The shrimp small plate I ordered in its stead was, as usual, excellent.
