We have seen him twice before during his shows he puts on at the King County Libraries. We were waiting for an opportunity to see him again around the time we were planning our daughters BDay parties and booked him for a private event. We just had his show today, and he is just as good as we remember! Not only were my daughters and their friends and cousins laughing and entertained, but all the adults were laughing as well. He was there on schedule and very easy to work with. His magic is very interactive, beginning with him walking around doing table magic as people were arriving as well as his show. I'm still baffled about how he pulled a BRICK out of his shoe. Kids and adults alike were amazed. Amazing magic, and very funny too. We hired Jeff last week to do a birthday party for two 7 year olds and their classmates. How long have you been interested in magic?
My career began from a book on coin tricks I found at my grandparents’ house when I was twelve years old. Throughout high school I performed magic shows for money, and though I attended college (graduating from Central Washington University), I was performing magic on the side and had no intention of getting a “real job.”
Today my blend of clean comedy and interactive magic is honed to perfection in over 250 shows each year throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. These range from private parties to company banquets. Fortune 500 like Boeing, Microsoft, Pepsi Cola, and R. E. I. are just a few of my repeat clients.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
Performances are available in two formats: strolling magic and my stand-up magic show. Strolling magic is close-up magic where I travel from group-to-group entertaining. It’s almost as though each person gets their own show! There is a lot of interaction, including magic that happens in the hands of your associates. It's the perfect addition to the social or cocktail hour as people are mingling. Many people like this style best because it happens inches away from them... and sometimes in their own hands!
My stage magic show can be enjoyed by your whole group at once. I travel with my own tables, show music, portable lights, and professional sound system. to insure that everyone can hear, see, and enjoy the show. Show time is typically 45 minutes and can be adjusted to fit your schedule of other activities. Audience participation is always an important part of my shows, and if you have a special person you’d like included just point them out to me.
What do you love most about your job?
It's all about the reactions! As a magician I know a lot of secrets, but seeing the look of amazement and fascination in the eyes of spectators is always a rush. Try it for yourself: sometime at a magic show take a moment and watch the reactions of other people as they observe, process, and respond to a powerful moment of magic.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I knew in high school that running my own business and performing magic professionally was my ultimate goal. I was performing on the side throughout high school and college which gave my business a running start. I've been performing magic full-time in western Washington and beyond since 1998 when I graduated from college.
