Hiring Maggie's Cleaning service was the biggest mistake we made when choosing a local company.We scheduled a consultation to come see the house on 2/26. But she never showed up. I called and texted multiple times, but there was no answer. At 3 PM, I asked she confirm whether she was still coming to clean in 3/2 otherwise I would be booking someone else. Amazingly that was the text she responded to.But she didn't remember me and asked what services I wanted. That should have been my first red flag. She then tried to schedule me a different day. When I reminded her we already had a commitment on 3/2, she tried to schedule it for 1PM. I told her we schedule for 8 AM (under the impression she would need the whole day since it is a big job). She then started asking me a series of questions: what service did I want done (I told her move out clean multiple times and why - we are selling our house), how many people would it take, how long would it take, and continued asking these same questions in different ways. This should have been cause to cancel, but it was last minute at this point and I didn't think I would be able to book anyone else.She arrived almost 45 minutes late and asked me to show her around the house. When I told her the most important part was baseboards because we were moving out to sell the home (as discussed) and professional photos would be taken for the listing, she complained her back hurt. I didn't know what to say to this. She quoted me $700 for the whole house for 3 people for a MOVE OUT DEEP CLEAN.You can imagine my shock when she was done in less than 3 hours and rushed to leave my house. What I discovered was deeply shocking and upsetting. Our entire master suite was left in disarray and my jewelry destroyed from spilling glycolic acid on my it, some of it family heirloom, which sat for hours at my bedside table. A bag of trash was left by my daughters crib. Nothing was put back in its place - NOTHING! All electronics were unplugged, all furniture pulled from walls, all items removed from areas cleaned were left in bags in baskets and piles. And worse, the house wasn't even meticulously cleaned. It was a wipe job. And they missed plenty. Photos below show everything left behind. This was not a move out clean at all. They rushed out to get to the 1PM slot they tried to throw me in.What's worse is that the baseboards that were cleaned were left scratched. She basically soaked them in cleaner then took a wire brush to them. See attached photos. I now have to pay to have them painted. I also have to pay to have more cleaners come in. My husband and I spent 2 hours putting everything back she tore apart instead of resting last night after our long day, and will have to spend more money undoing her damage.When I confronted her she gave me every excuse in the world, then got defensive and told me that one of her workers became sick after cleaning because of cleaning dog hair. Why is she cleaning houses if she cannot handle pets? Needless to say, this did not end well.Do not hire this service. Maggie is shady, she will try to rip you off, and I am writing this for liability purposes now. More...
