Our family gathered here today from all parts....out of state, Toledo, Sterling Heights, Warren....and my elderly aunt from Wyandotte. The choice was hers and it was an excellent one.  Our waiter, Dave, was charming and attentive. Waiting on a large group on a holiday (New Years Eve) can be challenging but he made us feel right at home.  The atmosphere was so very Italian... perfect. Our meals were delicious. The children had ravioli, spaghetti, and devoured everything (our grands are fussy, especially with their pasta so it's a huge testament). My husband is a light eater and he too completes his meal. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and it was superb. I was sure I was in Palermo. Although we are not from the area, we have determined we will make the journey again. More...

The romano garlic butter spread for the fresh Italian bread was out of this world and an unexpected treat. Our server, David, was top notch. You can tell he's been at this for a while. Perfectly timed service and excellent attention to detail. He made sure our meal was flawless from start to finish. Kudos!! The chef even accommodated my vegetarian modification. We've been here a few times and food has always been great. I mainly get the lasagna. One thing I would recommend to the owner is to have Minestrone soup on the menu every day instead of here and there. Most Italian restaurants have Minestrone on hand every day. A few times we came here and they said they sold out of Minestrone on the days they had it. A restaurant should never run out of anything. When we went today, it took too long for our drinks to come, and about 20 minutes for our salads. The manager was very helpful and took an item off of the bill. Very apologetic and wanted to make things right and she did. Besides being a bit watery, my boyfriend's chicken parm was great as always.  We still enjoy it here and will be back More...

We went to Magdaleno for Easter Sunday Brunch, which was a 'reservation only' type of event that came with multiple meal courses that were selected in advance.  So, my review will focus on that semi-unique event.Interior Decoration:  It's relatively small and intimate inside, giving the restaurant a cozy and familiar feel, like an Italian restaurant from the 50's or 60's.  Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam" has been faithfully re-created on the ceiling, as seen in the Sistine Chapel.  Bottom line, the decor put me in the mood for an Italian meal.  This may not have been their intent, but as I sat there, I felt like the restaurant could have been one of the sets for Goodfellas.  That is, of course, the highest of compliments.Food quality:  I was impressed with practically all the dishes they brought out, including the pasta course, the salad and definitely the steak.  Presentation was top-notch, and I especially appreciated the attention to detail on the pineapple mimosas.  It's a good thing we walked to the restaurant that morning, because I was downing those at a pretty steady clip.Service:  It's tough to assess what the service would be like on any given non-holiday weeknight, since Easter Sunday was probably specially staffed with extra hands on deck.  But, I'll say that the speed and quality of service on Easter was excellent.  Timing is everything with any dining experience, and all the servers who helped us that day were friendly and prompt. To the owners:  Nicely done. Best Italian downriver. My neighbor recommended it and she was spot on! Have been there twice, both meals were very good.  The 2nd time, we tried the Wednesday feast which was terrific . The meal that day included pop, soup, bread, chicken parm, roasted sirloin, some marinara pasta, veggies, and cannoli. It was all very tasty. Server was on top of the courses/refills. Please patronize this restaurant, we just don't have enough quality restaurants downriver and people are too quick to hit up the chains...boring and uninspiring! Support the family restaurants like this that taste great for a reasonable price. Would give 5 stars if they developed a better bread or rolls (a la Antonios), if it wasn't so cold near the window seats, and if it was a little larger so there's not so much pressure to eat and run. If I had to eat one kind of genre of food, you might guess what it could be...  it's not Italian.  Italian is all over the place, but always a little too filling.  Maybe I've had too many family-owned experiences (like Baldo's on Telegraph, for example) that have watered down my expectations for the entire category.  I've had Italian food from Italy, and everything is not that. But a few people and a close friend with authentic Italian blood said it was the best in the area."There's this sauce that you will love!"Okay, dude.  Ease off the hyperbole.Well, he was right.  Everything I heard was at or better than I was told.  The service, the food, the atmosphere - all a 10.We sat down and the wife got some kind of wine - it was red, but it was sparkling and the wife and I loved it.  I had some soda, big deal. But then they brought this bread (which isn't bad by itself - it tastes freshly made), but the sauce.  Oh.  My.  Lanta.I turned to my wife after 2 uncomfortable solitary minutes of uninterrupted moaning: "Ryan was right.  I need to somehow find a way to inject this concoction directly into my blood stream."  It's cheesy, but not a thick dip.  It's garlicky, but man...  it's too good.  We both got different salads, but we both said, "Try mine... yum.  Mine's better."  Surprisingly delicious salads.  Very fresh and tasty ingredients. Then we received our main's.  I got a really good chicken fettuccine alfredo that was the best I've EVER had - after some salt, I'm afraid - it was a little bland by itself, but that could have been because my standards were raised too high from the overly wonderfully seasoned sauce. The wife had lasagna and it was very good, but I have to take her word on it, I was still talking about transfusions as I paid the check.Worth every penny - it eclipsed anything I had in Italy and had me for a brief moment wondering if Italian was my new favorite food.  I cannot wait to return, but I'm a little afraid the bar's been set too high to have a repeat experience. That sauce, though.  Try this place out.  You won't be sorry. This is definitely a Gem in Wyandotte, MI. We had been here a few years back for my sister's Birthday and I remember that we enjoyed it then. This time we were celebrating my son's Graduation.  We started with Fresh baked bread, and this awesome dipping sauce the chef prepared.  Then we sampled each other's entrées, that's a total of six different meals. We shared Grilled Lamb Chops, Gemelli Norcina, Chicken Picatta, Chicken Parmesan, all were seasoned to perfection.  We then ordered a bottle of wine, SERENA MOSCATO , Absolutely delightful, my wife and my mother both enjoyed this wine, neither one of them drinks! Then we indulged In dessert, Spumoni, Hazelnut Gelato, and cheesecake! If you haven't tried this little slice of Italy I really must suggest that you sample it soon.P.S.
