Although OOB is pretty deserted this time of year, we came across this gem on our drive today. Super clean, friendly staff, and delicious sandwiches. Lots of choices for all tastes and needs. Reasonably priced. Sourdough bread is exceptionally good, fresh ingredients. So if you take a little detour down Grand Ave. toward Pine Point, stop in and have a bite before the season really hits and you’ll be standing in line. I stopped in here for a quick sandwich to go before visiting Pine Point Beach the other day, and I'm glad I did!  Mac's at Pine Point is located just a few minutes down the road from Pine Point Beach, and I'm sure it's a hopping place for the beach go-ers in the summer.  They offer a TON of sandwich options using Boar's Head products, and they have a variety of drinks and snacks available for purchase as well.  I ordered a turkey wrap that came with mozzarella cheese, spinach, red onions, roasted red peppers, and Mac's "special sauce," which is some sort of seasoned oil based sauce (that is hella good, mind you).  The owner, Chris, made my wrap, which was loaded and well worth the money!  There were a couple other employees working as well, all of whom made small talk and were very friendly and approachable.  Check out their fb page or website for the daily specials and expansive menu.  I'm looking forward to trying some of their specials and homemade soups soon!  Great job, guys! :) More...

Blows away any other sandwich/wrap/sub/soup spot in scarb. Best lunch variety in the area while putting quality ingredients first. Their small staff has perfected a large amount options to customize your sandwich/wrap with a menu of favorites to choose from. Everyone who works in an office, has a go to eatery they rely on more than all others, for me this is Mac's. I have gotten to know the staff on a first name basis, and have even gotten to know our common musical tastes! The guys at Mac's appreciate loyal customers, and that is a big reason I return, besides their delicious sandwiches of course.While their regular menu is full of scrumptous options (my personal favorite is the Mac's Chicken Salad wrap), what makes Mac's special is their original specials they have every day. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen the same exact special twice! I needed a small catering order to be delivered to my company for a meeting and took a gamble on Mac's Deli as it is near my office. WOW. We were all blown away by the quality of the spread (sandwiches, salads, chips, dessert and drinks). I'm from NY, and Mac's Deli rivals any of the top deli's in NY, at a fraction of the price. Had my first visit today and was very impressed (as, clearly, were the 20 other people in line with me). Premium meats & cheeses, the chicken salad looked AMAZING (will be getting it next time, as I had the Day After Thanksgiving sandwich, which deliciously messy and satisfying). The only reason why I can think that this doesn't have a lot more reviews is because the locals don't want anyone to know about it. I had the "after Thanksgiving" sandwich and it was delicious, I also got a side of their Italian pasta salad. It was great as well and had actual pieces of meat in it such as ham and pepperoni and a Coca-Cola to drink.  All of this was only nine dollars, last time I went to subway I got a foot-long chips and a drink and it came to $10. The bread is baked locally, they serve four head meat which if you don't know is extremely good meat. They have about seven different breads, seven different types of cheeses, all the normal toppings and then some new ones, and then when it came to condiments they have about 20 choices so there is plenty to choose from even have gluten-free wraps. Great little deli for breakfast & lunch. Premium sandwiches & coffee. Friendly service (ask the woman at the counter about her new grandchild).  Perhaps the only place in New England where they have Taylor Pork Roll (metro NY/NJ refugees take note). Definitely worth a visit (or several). They offer an extensive and varied menu, with lots of fresh bread options, any sandwich fixing you can think of, and are always willing to make recommendations. This place isn't great for eating in, as there are only a few small tables right in the midst of where people order and wait. It is a bit pricey, in my opinion, but you'll end up with a delicious, fresh, made-to-order, large sandwich. More...
