We went to Macky's a few days ago for lunch because our three year old grandson wanted to. We sat on the patio, the staff knew we were there. We waited and waited to be waited after we were served our beverages to have our order taken. Finally after twenty minutes my husband went in to tell the staff we would like to have our order taken. He said there were several "waitresses" standing together talking. Visiting not waiting for orders or taking orders. Girls day trip to Payson. We decided to stop for dinner before heading home. Our group of five was immediately sat. Menu has a mix of American, southwestern, and Mexican favorites. Macky's was chosen due to the number of gluten-free options. Several of the people in our group required this. They had eaten at Macky's before, and knew that there were many items they could eat. Included in the gluten-free options are tacos, salads and gluten-free buns for the burgers. They even had gluten-free free dessert. Burgers are on the larger side. Burgers are juicy. My daughter was very happy with hers. My chicken cheesesteak was not as plentiful as the burgers. Chicken cheesesteak was missing the sauce. Fries are seasoned. They remained crisp even as they cooled. Macky's was moderately busy. We were checked on by our server a couple of times. Server was kind. Food was out relatively quickly. Western themed decor. Outside patio is nice. We came at 530. Friendly staff looks like a local staple. Lotsa of people with dogs. Menu has a lot to chose from but you will spend between ten and twenty. Good variety of burgers. I tried the 21 dollar shrimp with baked potatoes and side salad which was just ok some lettuce wilted and not fresh. I picked it off. Blue cheese dressing was great with chunksThey forgot to put the corn bread on the plate so I had to ask for it. 1st time visitor. Service was SLOW!! Ordered curds and a burger. Curds came with 1 small half-filled container of ranch. We had a very good lunch here before leaving town. It was extremely busy and while we were seated right away, it took 30-45 mins for the food to come to the table. We didn't mind, but it would have been nice to know it was gonna take awhile. They were so friendly otherwise, and it had a nice indoor or outdoor atmosphere, whichever you prefer.The Reuben (pastrami & onions) was excellent. To start...they offer a dog friendly patio, even brought the babies a bowl of water first off! Thanks Scott, a self-professed dog lover! Our first time stopping here on our trip to Greer. We chose the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Patty Melt, but swapped out the swiss for cheddar.Both the sandwiches came with some great, seasoned fries (you have a few different side options) and both meals were served quickly and hot! Good sized plates for the price! Loved the juicy chicken breast on the sandwich and the melt burger was done to perfection, medium well and juicy as well. Will definitely make this stopping place on way up the mountain going forward. Understaffed today. The burger I received was really really bad. Meat patty was black and crusty, and the bacon was crispy black. Inedible. So I ate the fries while my friends enjoyed their entrees. Great lunch options here. The cowboy melt was delicious; perfect amount of meat and veggies between soft bread. The original burger was exactly as expected. Everyone working here is great. Megan was wonderful. The Cowboy Melt was delicious and the fries are excellent. Nice patio (heaters are out of propane currently - hope they refill soon) but it's nice they have that option. We came here for supper the first night of our trip to Payson. I will tell you right now that the steak was one of the best steaks I have eaten! The flavor was incredible. Easily the best burgers in Rim Country. We've been going here since it was located on the highway, and are never disappointed. Sitting on the patio with the dogs, enjoying the sunshine and breeze, is always a good choice. Unlike many place with patios, the service outside is always great. The attentive wait staff does not seat you out there and forget you. They even provide a water bowl for the dogs, and keep it filled. Great iced tea, good options for kids (except the mac and cheese is Kraft, and therefore my children won't touch it).For apps - love the salted edamame and cheese curds. If you’re looking for a great comfort foods restaurant with an outdoor patio for the pups this is the place to go. Go to relax…. service is very slow but everyone was super nice. Also, only sit on the outdoor patio if you don’t mind the skeeters and flies. Once monsoon season passes that issue will be resolved! Stopped by today for lunch, the food was fantastic. Little bit slow coming out from the Kitchen. POS system was efficient enough order from the table is sent electronically, and you can pay for your tab once your ready to leave all touchless. Patio was great for my fur baby!

During our trip to Payson we stopped by Mackys Grill and we both ordered the Mega Ooey Gooey burger and it was so good! It was easily one of the best burgers I've had! Loved the crispy chicken cheddar wrap with a side of chili. Also sampled my sister's Reuben and fries-both good! Busy little place at lunch time, but service was quick and efficient and we enjoyed our meal. Mom liked her blt sandwich.
