The problem with this place is that I still can't decide on my favorite cupcake. They've all been so amazing, and I'm pretty sure I've tried one of every single offering that Mabel's has had at the Rowlett Farmer's Market so far. The six-packs I've bought were eaten over the course of a week, and the last one was just as fresh and delicious as the first. And the chocolate chip cookies? I've got to get to church, because they're downright sinful. If you want a tasty pastry for any occasion at all, stick with Mabel's Confections. 10/10 DO recommend! More...

Preparing food for someone is a simple act of showing love and kindness. So this work is an act of service to others.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’m a retired educator of 20 years who has a passion for baking. I’ve been baking for most of my life but it started being serious when my kids were born. I started making their birthday cakes because I wanted them to have something special.
There’s just something about getting into the kitchen & creating a sweet treat that just brings joy to others.

Having a home baking business I have to be creative in providing services to my clients. Many of our connections are completed online or remotely. We can't accommodate walk-ins but we can schedule face-to-face meetings.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Because we schedule visits like pickups or deliveries, we make accommodations to wear masks as needed.

Select up to three (3) flavors you would like to sample and they will be available in a cupcake. You’ll receive four (4) cupcakes for each flavor that you can share with those who may be helping you decide on a cake flavor.
