Great home-y vibes in an otherwise dark and somewhat sketchy area (at least for a country bumpkin like myself)! The food, atmosphere, and service here was amazing when my company went there for out dinner night of the month. Gotta day that my girlfriend and I enjoyed sharing the chicken medeira very much, and we also split a bowl of clam chowder that was wonderful. This is my all time favorite Restaurant. My wife are from New Bedford and went there every week for years and then moved to Florida in 1987. We visit every year and our first stop is M&C Rest for their stuffed quahogs and seafood with 14 of our relatives. It is a yearly tradition. In fact I order 30 quahogs to go and bring them back with me to Florida to enjoy as long as possible. Mike and his family have always made us feel welcome with superior quality food and fun atmosphere. I can honestly say I love this restaurant. Ask for Maria when you go.
