I offer personal training services to the Champaign-Urbana area. My area of focus is primarily strength training and exercise technique. I believe that these two things are the key to longevity in terms of exercise. Far too often I see people do too much too soon and with poor technique, which usually results in burn out, or worse, injury.

An absolutely wonderful studio with wonderful instructors. The practices are very intense, and they not only teach you how to better your body, but also better your mind and therefore your life as a whole.

So I am thankful to Lois for the knowledge she share, and her dedication for the method. Also to other teachers and students who made this place a very welcome, vibrant with positive energy place. I am hooked on yoga. One of the best places I have ever attended for yoga. The teachers are extremely attentive. The only yoga class that the teacher walks around and corrects your form. The whole time the teacher is describing the pose. Really no room for injury. They also modify the pose for anyone with special needs/injuries. There is year long membership for anytime to get into facility to practice. Great facility with amazing teachers. More...

I design exercise programs that are specific to each client's needs and ability. I'm also very attentive to detail and provide excellent coaching on the exercises my clients do.

Be realistic in your goals and the time frame in which you're looking to accomplish them. Once you have a realistic goal in mind, consistency is the most important factor. Don't constantly miss workouts and eat poorly and think that you will be able to accomplish your goals. Also, be ready to hit some low points during the process, things will get tough and sometimes it will seem like nothing is changing. This is completely normal, but as long as you stick to your plan the results will come. In other words, there is no secret, just hard work and perseverance.

I love seeing clients progress and get stronger. It's very rewarding for clients to be able to get to the point where they can do proper push-ups, pull-ups, and squats, among several other exercises.

I worked in public gyms for several years and I never really liked the environment. It was usually too crowded and even doing simple routines could sometimes be difficult. In addition, most gyms have predatory sign-up practices and cancellation policies, which can be very off putting to some. Due to these reasons, I decided to move out of the public gym setting and started training in a private studio. Equipment is available when I need it, and there are no ridiculous membership contracts or cancellation policies that are designed to bleed money out of the customer. It's just a much better environment overall.

I've had several years of experience working with clients. I've spent countless hours doing research and getting in hands-on practice in order to provide the best possible training experience for my clients. I'm also not the typical trainer type, I was never involved with sports growing up and I'm not genetically gifted. I'm just a regular guy who had to work very hard to see any improvements in fitness. This gives me a pretty down-to-earth and realistic style that is aimed at getting the best results possible. I'm not going to waste your time with silly exercises that have no benefit, or giving you things to do that are far too challenging and outside of your skill level.

I offer personal training sessions as individual or partner training sessions. I offer 45-minute and 60-minute sessions for both individual and partner sessions.
