Lovers Lane is the first Vet clinic I’ve ever been to where I feel they genuinely love and care for my baby. The techs are amazing and sweet, they interact with you and your furbaby and don’t just stop and go from visit to visit. They make an effort to welcome you in. We love the vet techs here and Dr. Lon Hays is a wonderful vet. What I like about him most is that he seems to be very in tune with the costs of pet care. Unlike other vets, he does not prescribe unnecessary expensive and outlandish treatments willy nilly. He seems to have an affordable and common sense approach to vet care. I was so happy to find this center. My previous vet is in Plano but now I live in downtown Dallas so that's not super easy to get to in an emergency situation. The last time I took her to a vet in Dallas, I was really unhappy with the service, so this was a breathe of fresh air. I brought my chihuahua mix, Foxy Brown, in yesterday because she was in visible pain and I couldn't tell what was hurting her. I had rescued her almost two years ago and was told at the time she was around a year. Dr. Arroyo quickly discerned that not to be the case, said she's actually 8-9! And experiencing a pinched nerve due to suspected arthritis. He showed the exact spot of her pain. He gave me a treatment option that suited my budget and I couldn't be happier. Within 30 minutes of giving her the medication to reduce inflammation, she was back to normal. She's still a little sore so we will keep her resting, on Dr's orders, but she's back to the silly, little sassy girl I love! Thank you to the staff for getting me in so quickly, within 30 minutes of my call. The whole appointment was in and out in less than an hour which was awesome since I left work to take her! I will definitely use this office again. Highly recommend due to efficiency, competency, and reasonable pricing. More...

You couldn't ask for nicer, kinder, more professional vets. I have 3 dogs and they see them all. We've had our baby out to sleep and they were wonderful. Been going to this vet for many years and now sending dog #3 to these guys. They are always thorough, informative, and clear in their diagnoses and treatment. Latest example: we took our pet to another vet for what may have been a UTI and got a crazy diagnosis. We took him to these guys who ran more detailed analyses, clearly explained what they did and didn't know, and consulted with us on next steps. They followed up when results came in and did one last check-up to ensure the problem was mitigated.I'm guessing medicine is not all science. It takes that along with human intuition and these guys do it that way. More...

We had a hurdle to jump when I was looking to transfer to this vet, but the Director helped with this and I am very happy that I stayed in there with them! I have the best new vet Dr. now! I could not have asked for a better one! Dr. Martin has been so loving towards my two kittens, as they went in for front declaw. Whether or not you agree with that, they are indoor kittens and my two older cats are already front declawed, so that's the route I went. I love Dr. Martin's assistant, Sky! She has has gone over and above the call of duty to care for my babies, as they were healing from their surgery. And my kittens really liked her, too!! I can't wait until January, when my older two cats will be visiting Dr. Martin and Sky for their wellness exams. They use a more pure form of vaccines at this office. I think they are called purtek or purtex or something, but they are more pure than the average vaccine, and thus better for your furry friends! They are holistic in their approach to care. They recommend certain things, and I have found that to be very good in the care of my cats. The front staff is polite. The back staff is very nice. The prices are very agreeable.They act when necessary! A man came in with his little dog, as I was there yesterday. He didn't have an appointment, but they still saw his dog because something was wrong. The poor thing ended up having a hernia, and they rushed him into minor surgery to fix it! I have been taking my pets here for 20 years. Very caring staff and excellent doctors. They are very accommodating when an emergency appointment is needed. My dogs were absolutely miserable from allergies and scratching themselves raw. They fit us in on a very busy Saturday morning. My dogs felt so much better after. We took our little bundle of puppy fluff to Lovers Lane for 14 years, until we laid her to rest on March 11.Although Lily hated going to the vet (she wasn't big on shots), she loved the staff there. It was always clear that the staff were genuine animal lovers so we never worried about Lily while she was boarded there when we were out of town. Dr. Cairncross was our vet in Lily's last days, and she was kind and honest. She gave my mom good guidance as we struggled to make the decision to euthanize. Putting Lily down was difficult, but the staff was empathetic and we didn't feel rushed. We were allowed to be with her body alone afterward, which was wonderful because I got to give Lily a goodbye kiss.Thanks for all your years of support, Lovers Lane! More...

I live in Plano, however I make the drive all the way to Dallas due to the excellent service that I receive here.  They are one of the few vets in the area that provides international health certificates.  Not only do they provide the health certificates, they do the leg work to figure out what the requirements are for the country that you are going to.  This saved my butt on a recent trip to France, as I assumed that the requirements would be the same as my previous trip.  Fortunately they took the time to verify the requirements!! We have used LLAMC since 2007.  Our Chihuahua hates everyone.  Other vets made comments about her "attitude."  The vet technician on our first visit made the comment that her Chihuahua has the same "attitude. " Our boxer/lab mix loves everyone and usually becomes a staff favorite.  They treat both of our dogs the same and give them the same attention.  Dr. Martin and Dr. Linley are the two vets we usually see, however I think we have seen them all.  They always listen to our concerns and take everything we say seriously.  While they have cautioned me against petmd.com and other similar web sites, it is the same caution I get from my doctor about WebMD.com.  Very seldom do I leave with medication--only if it is absolutely necessary.  My questions are always answered and they have appointment times that are convenient to my schedule. I've been taking my dogs and cats to this center (mainly Dr. Martin) for years. He's one of the best vets I've been to. BUT the prices at this center have soared over the years, making this place mucho expensive. If cost is no issue, I highly recommend this center.
