Quiet country atmosphere. The rooms are rustic but the area is so charming and reminds me of old California. Nice bar and dining area , locals hang out there and it is charming friendly place . Lots of guests will only stay here. More...

We were definitely pleased. Our room was large, two comfortable chairs, bed was nice, extra bed if needed. Place is dated but comfortable and reasonable. A surprise was that coffee in the room was real ground coffee and a small coffee mate brew pot. There was even half and half in the fridge. Nice addition, coffee how I like it. |There was reportedly, brewed coffee with a continental breakfast available at 8am. Middle of the day for us. But do not despair, go to Jeffery’s. Ate here several times over the New Year’s weekend. Excellent food and service. We ate in the Saloon so we could watch the Warriors game and had nice conversations with friendly locals. The food servers and bartenders were very accommodating. Our meals were delicious. They served an amazing seafood soup (a meal in itself, which kept us coming back), great Caesar salad, and a range of entrees from bar food to complex meals. Everything we tried was delicious. The atmosphere in the Saloon is very comfortable and relaxed. In warmer weather, there is a lovely patio for outdoor dining. More...

We love going here, the service, cocktails & food are awesome, the staff is always super friendly and always seeing if you need anything else, they don't have happy hour, but they are not shy to make it up by volume.

One of my favorite places to stay in Carmel Valley. To me, it is a hidden treasure. The restaurant on-site is an added bonus along with their daily breakfast of fresh fruit, rolls, homemade granola - nothing fancy, but very good. The rooms are quaint and well kept; however, the TVs need to be updated. More...

Los Laureles Lodge, located in sunny Carmel Valley, is a friendly establishment close to all the fun things to do in and around the Carmel area. The grounds are beautifully kept and the rooms are clean and quiet. The restaurant on site is also very good! They offer a package deal which, for a very reasonable price, includes two nights lodging, two dinners in the restaurant and wine tasting at five local wineries. We've taken advantage of it twice now, and most likely will again! More...

When I think of Carmel that first image that comes to my mind is a boutique town by the sea. But the Carmel valley is a completely different story with hilly roads and lovely views. The Los laurels lodge is a comfortable and cosy place in the hills and it was a pleasure to spend a couple of days and would recommend it to others as well. A night's stay comes with breakfast the next morning. My only complaint about the breakfast is that every thing served was sweet. A difficult proposition for diabetics or those who do not have a sweet tooth. More...

Los Laureles is comprised of several buildings spread out over several acres. Each building has cabin-like rooms (wood paneling, screen doors). The rooms are somewhat dark unless you open all windows (all is at ground level). Room was clean and well maintained. For breakfast in the reception area, they serve fruit, muffins, coffee etc. Carmel Valley is somewhat rustic, so there is no glamor here, but nice comfortable, clean rooms and excellent service. This was our first time stay at Los Laureles and it was wonderful. We got in late Friday night, just as the restaurant was closing (but the pub stays open). Our waitress got us warm bread, salads and the soup of the day. Both were delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable. Most important for us, they are dog friendly. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The grounds (10 acres) are great for a wedding or family reunion. There is a heated pool. They serve a nice continental breakfast and their coffee is very good. We left planning when our next visit there would be. More...

We stayed for 2 days in room 9. It had a queen bed and a day bed. Initially, we were hoping to stay on the coast, but due to a golf tournament at Pebble Beach, we sought lodging away from the traffic and crowds. We couldn't have been more pleased. The restaurant was excellent. My husband was not feeling well and the chef cooked a special broth that he could eat. The next day, the chef cut open an abalone that we had purchased at Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. In terms of restaurant entrees- we had 2 excellent salads, the calamari steak was light and accompanied by vegetables and rice. Duck breast and confit in a grand marnier sauce was another winning dish. The continental breakfast featured homemade granola, homemade muffins, and fresh fruit. Our room was spacious for 2 and I like having the bathroom area around the corner from the bedroom. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back. More...

I stayed here for a conference recently. The resort itself is a historic setting. Each room has an outside entrance and has a cabin feel. The room itself is fairly large as you can see from the pics. It is an older style of decorating so if you are expecting a modern style you will be disappointed. Everything was very clean and the shower had decent pressure. If you didn't bring a hair dryer they keep them at the front desk. We ate at the restaurant for all our meals and they did a great job. The food was excellent. The staff is very accommodating as well. Overall it was a nice stay. I would think it would be good for a weekend getaway. More...

We are locals, but had a very busy weekend all taking place within 5 miles of Los Laureles Lodge. We are frequent dinner guests there. Love the saloon and especially, Gene the waiter, so we thought we would give the hotel a try since they also allow dogs in some rooms. Darling rooms in what was the old stable. All wood floors, ceiling, walls. Felt very historic, but was also immaculate and had a very comfy bed. I was worried about road noise because those particular rooms are very close to Carmel Valley Road, but I have a noise machine and was not bothered at all....plus, any traffic really gets sparse by about 9:00. Stephanie checked us in and was very efficient and gracious and allowed us to check in a bit early. The only suggestion I could make is to put a coffeemaker or microwave in the room. We had to leave quite early in the a.m. and the coffee in the lobby wasn't going to be ready in time. They serve an excellent local coffee, so I was disappointed to miss it. ||I love, love, love the unpretentious atmosphere at Los Laureles Lodge. It has been lovingly cared for and maintained, but not gussied up into yet another expensive, wine centric Carmel Valley resort. I can't wait to stay there again. More...
