I just made a cross country move from ** to **** and used Fine Express and was very impressed by the movers. A friend used Fine Express couple of years ago and recommended it. Lou was fantastic with quick estimates based on inventory I gave her and I was able to make a reservation fairly quickly. On the ** side, I was told the movers would arrive between 9 and 11 and pretty much on the dot at 9 they were at my door. Mike and Alex were great! am so stunned at the vitriol here, that I literally had to check that this was the same Ace Moving Plus I had the pleasure of working with yesterday. Now this was just the pickup and re-boxing of corroded cartons, but if the other end of this move go as smoothly as this side, I will sing Aces praises to the skies and above. I dealt with the same Michael J as the high maintenance young lady who complained that one of the movers pooped in her potty, and found him to be excellent from start to finish. He was thorough, assuring and followed up on every step of my estimate and obtaining the proper documentation from my co-op. I got a call to confirm, the day before the move, from the most lovely woman, Diane, who I spent the next twenty minutes chatting with. The movers themselves showed up at 11:30 AM for my scheduled 1 PM move, and politely offered to wait if I was not ready. Michael F, the foreman of the crew was at the top of his game. I just got out of his way and let him do his job. Yes, I put my cat in the bedroom, but not because he didn't like it, as one of the self entitled millennial whiners complained, but because pets get underfoot during a move, you ******** *********. This was single most flawless moving experience Ive had. But then again, I'm an adult and know that professionals get the job gone. And complainers complain. Yes. They re-taped some of my boxes! But that was because the tape I had used ten years ago was either old and falling off, or newly taped boxes not secure enough! If Ace is in fact a third party mover as one reviewer indicates, then anything happens to my stuff now is already out of their hands, so the job they did was excellent. And if Ace is a third party contractor, now I understand why their rates can be as low as they are!!! I reserve the right to revise my comments when my move is completed, but Aces delivered in spades. Did Michael F suggest that if I was happy they suggested a gratuity? Yes. But he also added it would be added to my bill. I asked if he'd prefer cash and he smiled. So I too tipped $100 per man and he was most grateful. I wasn't intimidated by some strong arm bully! It was merely a line item on the bill, just like you find on a restaurant check. I began composing my **** review before Michael F had even left the building. I give him and ACE 16 stars. So far so spectacular. Ace arrived in LA today. The precise date we agreed upon. 3 PM. The precise time we had agreed upon! Tomas and Brooklyn we friendly, considerate, hard working. They moved everything into my garage in no time flat. Everything safe and sound! Dead on the estimate. No hidden fees, tricks or any else! In fact, I was given a document to sign that I never felt pressured, or made to pay for additional services. PS. Of course I tipped. Gratuities are NOT an additional service! BEST MOVE EVER!!!!! Very satisfied with my experience with Ace moving. A rep from Ace came to my home to evaluate the contents of my possessions in order to offer a moving quote. I interviewed several moving companies and only two gave me the comfort and professionalism that made me feel able to entrust them with my possessions. Ace was, of course, one of those two. Others gave low ball estimates that I knew would go up (because they said I'd have 30 boxes when in fact I had closer to 100), refused to come look at my place (warning: do NOT accept this), etc. The rep was fantastic, took all the time necessary to answer my questions, was polite, not pushy, etc. A few days before my move I emailed Ace to inform them that my inventory list had changed- a few things I decided to get rid of and I acquired a few things, too. The price went up marginally and I don't know the math behind it but it seemed reasonable. On move-out day the movers were scheduled at 9am. At 9:20 they were not there but as I was calling their office to inquire the van pulled up. The movers were efficient, fast, and made me feel comfortable on an otherwise nerve-wracking day. In about 3 hours they were done at both my place and the nearby storage unit where they had agreed to pick up more boxes. I was moving to MD so it was a 2-day move. On day 2, move-in day, movers were again right on time. They texted me to inform as to their ETA. Move in was mostly smooth. My new place had one stairwell which had problematic dimensions and there was one piece that we thought was hopeless. But ultimately we were able to disassemble the railing and get it up. The movers dealt with this without moaning and groaning. Move-in took 3 hours and again it was done efficiently and with care. I have not found a single sign of damage on my furniture. I still have 4 or 5 boxes to unpack but otherwise I have to say that Ace made a notoriously difficult life event as smooth as possible. More...

The crew were very attentive and quick. Everything in the 3 bedroom house was in the truck and ready to go within a few hours. Once we got to the new condo, they helped set everything in its right place. We had a ton of extra boxes and some spare furniture, so they helped position everything perfectly in the storage and basement.I would highly recommend this company to anybody out there that is looking for a quick, safe and efficient way to move. After they picked up my  packaged heavy items in Queens, New York to take my new location in Los Angeles, California, I read such horror stories about them on Yelp. I thought to myself that I think I made a very serious mistake.  Well, the price was right, my heavy boxes made it OK, and the crew was friendly.  Even Lou (head office) was a pleasant man to work with and speak with.  They may not always seem professional, but they get the job done.  No one forced me to tip, or even ask for one, and no one  threatened  me if I didn't tip (some reviews wrote that).  I gave them a generous one because I wanted to (10 percent).  I had many boxes that contained extremely heavy books. A 5-Star rating is deserved across the board for Ace moving. We worked with lou, sales team, to understand the pricing structure of the move. After taking inventory of the contents at our premise, lou provided us with a line-by-line cost structure, to include various options. He clearly communicated the benefits of each option so that my wife and I can make an informed decision. On the day of the move, the truck arrived on time. The four man team was led by doan, who was extremely professional and experienced. He was very pragmatic and efficient in his approach to load the truck. The crew were very careful with ALL of our items/contents both leaving the old and entering the new premises. On top of that, the crew helped us out tremendously by moving items around at the new house ( out of scope of the contract). Lastly, and to my surprise (based on previous experience), we were charged the exact amount as in the contract terms. Previously, with other providers, additional "unforeseen" charges were applied. Best moving experience ever! From the very moment the crew of 4 arrived at my home they did everything possible to put me at ease and assure me that they would take care of everything - and they did! Every member of the crew treated my furniture and personal items with the utmost respect. Every single item of furniture was carefully wrapped in blankets so that not even one inch of the furniture was exposed. Every picture frame was wrapped up and packed in a crate to ensure that the glass wouldn't break. We had awful weather on our moving day - rain and wind! - and we live in an apartment, one flight up steps up, about 400 yards from where the moving truck was parked. In good weather it would have been a hard move, but with the pouring rain and wind, it couldn't have been a worse day for a move! The crew never complained and worked efficiently and quickly. Once all of my items were packed up and carefully on the truck, the crew made two stops for me - one at a mini storage where they unloaded boxes of my items into a locker I had rented, and the next at our new home. The guys had been working for 7 hours by this point and must have been exhausted but they never once let on if they were! They were consistently friendly, kind, and respectful throughout the entire day! They asked in which rooms I wanted each box placed, and put together my daughter's bunk beds wonderfully! One of the guys even commented that he wanted to double check each bolt because he wanted to be sure it was safe for my children!I'd heard so many awful stories from my friends about their moving experiences and was so nervous about moving - i am SO HAPPY with ACE and their service! This is BY FAR the best moving experience I have ever had. From the first phone call inquiring about prices (hourly rate + travel time-which is standard in the professional moving industry) to the end of the move (movers made sure I was happy where everything was placed or they moved it again for me) and then reassembled everything without asking or hesitation! The guys worked so hard, non-stop no breaks! Everything was wrapped securely & they protected all of my furniture as if it were their own. I even had some last minute things I did not get packed & they packed them for me without question. As far as price, it was the hourly rate for the movers plus travel-no hidden fees!!! I would recommend Ace to all of my family, friends & co-workers---you guys are just AWESOME & I cannot thank you enough!! Stan Burke came out and was very professional and gave me a very accurate estimate.  I was actually underestimated by two other moving companies (big names, not little guys), if I had gone with them I would not have had enough truck space for all my stuff.  This was a large 5bd room house and the guys they sent worked quickly and did not chat or waste time.  I have moved several other times and this by far was the best moving crew I have experience. The foreman and most of the mover spoke English.  We didn't have any communication issues.  The foreman was very helpful and considerate of our homes and belongings.  All my furniture was wrapped properly to prevent damage and I liked that they did not charge extra for wardrobes or boxes for pictures.  I have already recommended this company to a friend who might be moving and would to anyone else looking for the best quality movers with the best price. Ace movers saved me in a last minute situation when I finally realized my friends and I would not be able to properly move anything. Two guys and a truck showed up 10 minutes early IN THE SNOW. They took apart my son's crib quickly and put it back together in my new apartment easily. I have used Ace twice now in the last two years and both experiences were absolutely flawless. On both occasions, the movers were very professional and experienced and most importantly, very prompt. They came to get the job done and it felt like we were in and out at a great pace. They handled everything with care and went out of their way to make sure that all furniture and anything delicate was wrapped up extensively to prevent any damage. I was really impressed! ACE movers were efficient in setting up my move with a quick phone call. As promised, 2 movers came, and even though they did not appear to be very strong, they had no problem moving any of my furniture, even the heavier pieces. They wrapped the couch and other items in plastic to prevent damage and covered most items with blankets as well. None of my items were damaged except for 1 drinking glass which I may not have packed appropriately. They didn't waste time chatting or sitting idle and were very efficient. I had myself and a couple friends help and in about 2 hours we loaded and unloaded my packed large 1 bedroom apartment to another apartment including beds, couches, dressers, dining tables, chairs, TV, kitchen items, etc.I would use them again in a heartbeat because their price was reasonable and they were efficient. Ok, so moving is usually a very stressful time - and I was really nervous with the decision of hiring Ace, basically cause I depend on Yelp alot and they didn't have as many stars as other company, but I really liked the person who came to give me the quote (Sunny), and I like to trust my instinct - so I went for it - and in this case I was right! !The team that arrived at my house EARLY - asked me if I wanted them to wait - of course I said no, and we started a head of shedule. They worked great as a team- you could tell they had been working together for a while. They were organized, polite, and FAST! everything was perfect, they finished under the time they had quoted, and they were super careful in bringing things in - they help me set up the big items, asked repeatedly if I needed any help. This was the smoothest move I have ever had. They were early and professional. It was a rainy day and they made sure to lay blankets on the floor to protect the wood without being asked. The two guys who came were great and worked hard and worked quickly. They even moved some things to the curb that I wasn't taking with me. My stuff was put in storage, and they wrapped up some of my more delicate furniture before stacking it in the space. They came on time and even came to my house for the estimate, the other two companies I called didn't have any motivation to go that extra mile. My boyfriend and I used Ace Movers to move from a 1 bedroom apt to another about 10 miles away. Arranging the move was easy and the staff were very knowledgeable. They explained everything and were very professional overall. The two movers worked quickly and were kind. I had some items that I had just purchased in Chantilly that needed to go to my home in VA, then some items that were at my home in VA that had to come back to my place in DC. They picked up the new merchandise in Chantilly, expertly took it to my home in VA, brought the items that were coming from VA back to my place in DC. The quote I was given was exact. Okay, I didn't actually go with these guys - so I don't really KNOW -They've apparently "..been in business 13 years and have a A+ rating with the BBB. " I don't know that, but something about the guy talking made me feel he's a stand up guy.  I didn't go with them because what i was into was a SELF STORAGE place, which gives me access whenever I want.  They don't do that kind of storage and moving.  Thus he immediately recommended what he thought were two good spots in the neighbourhood.  Awesome.  I bet they do a fine job moving and storing - but I don't know that.  I just am guessing due to the tone of joviality and candid nature of the fellow who answered the phone.  Maybe customer service doesn't mean good moving, but maybe I'm right.  Nothing to gain or lose for me, just thought I'd even out the score.Good Luck and Good Research for all More...

I found Ace through the Better Business Bureau -- a good place to start when looking for reputable companies.  Ace was not without some last-minute hinks -- After being absolutely clear that I wanted a fully English-speaking crew, 4 hispanics showed up in a 26-foot U-Haul. Not cool. I was told that since their company truck was not working, I would get an extra man on the job.  Bottom line: These guys all worked like crazy.  I bought them all gatorade and I had to insist that they take the time to eat lunch -- the move took from morning until 5 pm. I would not hesitate to tell friends and family to use this service.  BTW: I went online to a mover search engine and they gave my phone number to about 8 moving companies. They all had similar websites - I wonder if these are not all the same company. The first quote was $85 an hour, after a few days of indecision, the prices came down to $68 hour.  I checked these guys out at the Better Business Bureau and there were a lot of outstanding complaints.  Be careful out there! In dire need of boxes for an imminent move, I happened upon Ace on 14th street. The helpful saleslady quickly gathered together my 15 boxes of varying sizes (what can I say, I have a lot of stuff) and deftly improvised a handy carrying handle out of string -- she's clearly a pro. She also upsold me on a plastic mattress bag, which in retrospect I am thrilled to have purchased because my mattress is now in storage and I could only imagine how filthy it would be if I hadn't zipped it up in plastic first. They also have packing tape and other moving supplies.
