Have been wanting to go try this place after all the great things I've heard and it was excellent! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces and made to feel welcome. Our server was personable and did a great job. Didn't get pictures of our food but we had buffalo gator bites, Shrimp po'boy and Cajun Alfredo. All of the food was Delicious. I was told this place has been a permanent fixture in the Park Circle area for some three odd years now and I have no clue as to how I managed to overlook this place for this long. The cuisine tastes authentic and yummy - if you were curious, like myself, I tried both the vegan and classic jambalaya and I was very impressed with both (HIGHLY recommend). LoLA always had the best food and service around. You have a great selection of amazingly fresh food choices, from fish, to poboys, to carolina gator bites (a personal favorite). The selection of beers is great as well. But what really sets them apart is their friendly service and atmosphere. OVERVIEW
CAJAN! I asked the hotel driver to drop me someplace unique not being in the mood for chain food. So he dropped me at LoLA.
Maybe it means lower Louisiana? I started of outside as there was no seating Inside, after about 10 minutes seating opened and I moved inside as it was chilly. They have outdoor seating with limited indoor seating, maybe 40 inside. Clearly they serve more people outside than in but they had a great atmosphere and the staff was cordial. I ordered the red drum fish dish and followed that with a bourbon and whiskey glazed bread cake.
PROS
The haddock dish was awesome! Perfectly cooked and the rice jambalaya kind of bed. Not sure of all the ingredients but it was good. My waitress was great and suggested the red drum and the bread cake. Well managed establishment based the great food and flow of customers.
CONS
The wait for an indoor table was the only thing but if your business is that good that people wait for table then I would consider that a pro

The food here was phenomenal! Pur waitress Tina was the best waitress I believe I've ever had at a restaurant. Lola had a great atmosphere that felt like a great place to bring friends and family for drinks and a great meal.

Came to Lola’s tonight and had a mix up on my time I was supposed to be there. I believe he’s the owner or manager but he was wonderful in getting my party a table. Maybe that one night the kitchen was a little backed up but they have made up for that tonight. Plus the food was excellent. They definitely made up for my previous bad experience. The food was incredible. We went for lunch and I was blown away by the portion sizes. The prices were very reasonable and I took a ton of food home. Service was excellent. The place was packed around 1pm on a Wednesday but we were able to find seats at the bar and were served with a senile right away. Highly recommend. More...
