Omg! I just had probably one of the best experiences at this salon! They truly understand the meaning of pampering and guest service! They immediately greet you and offer a beverage when you first come in. The place is beautiful and well cared for and all the stylists are super friendly and well, stylish, which is really important for a business in the beauty industry. Brook was phenomenal and she somehow gave me exactly what I wanted even with my poor elementary explanation of what I wanted. She was not pushy at all with the products but was very knowledgeable and kind about them and how she used them on me. I 100% recommend them and Brook specially for your hair styling needs! I have been a customer of Lockworx since about 2008 when I lived in Lansing and continue to go there despite having moved south of Flint. It's completely worth the drive. I wouldn't go anywhere else! I freaking love this place!! Everyone is kind, courteous and knowledgeable in addition to being fun to be around. Super good vibes here. Plus they are very accommodating in offering extras you don't see everywhere like hot beverages and water, complimentary hand massages with your color service and if you're lucky and Kameron isn't busy you may get a complimentary shoulder massage while your color is processing. I went here for a trim and CJ did a very good job. A lot of times when you ask for a trim, hair dressers will trim more than you anticipate but CJ really understood that I didn't want too much off and did a good job only trimming the amount I wanted off. I was impressed by the customer service here. I was offered a drink and they were easy to schedule with. Overall, I recommend, the trim cost $35 but I think other hairdressers there have different rates. More...

Lockworx is a wonderful salon. Excellent services, great staff and the best products ever! I’ve been getting my facials done here by Sarah and my hair done by Kaylei for a few years now. They always go above and beyond my expectations. They are very understandable of my limitations due to my back injury and always do there best to make sure I’m comfortable. Sarah’s facials are very relaxing and do a great job at calming down my rosacea, while giving my skin a more youthful appearance. Kaylei aways makes my hair look perfect. I had an amazing experience at this salon today and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Theresa did my hair and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. Before I had my hair done I had found pictures online of the type of cut and color I wanted and went in for a 15 minute consultation to go over what exactly I wanted. She was able to get me in literally the next day! When I came in to get my hair done there was such a great atmosphere in the salon- music was great and everyone was so friendly! I was checked in with several times in order to get me a beverage and see if I needed anything while my hair was being done. Because I am a natural red head of course I was SUPER nervous to get my hair dyed blonde but it turned out BEAUTIFUL! Theresa was able to give me the exact cut and color I wanted and all my family and friends are obsessed. I definitely will be coming here on a regular basis now and plan on trying out their facials next. If you are thinking about doing something different to your hair don't be afraid to take your ideas to this salon and make your dreams a reality! I am so glad I decided to check this place out! I’ve got curly hair, and I have had such a hard time finding someone who can cut it and make it look GOOD. I am so happy that I tried Lockworx. My stylist was Alexis, and she was fantastic! Loved this place! I was from out of town and pressed for time but they happily fit me in. Then I got even more pressed for time as I had to backtrack to Starbucks and retrieve my briefcase, and they STILL fit me in. Now, let me make it clear, when I arrived, there were six other patrons so this place wasn't dying for my business - they wanted it. My stylist was so great! Again, not from the area, but she took the time to understand what I wanted and was even able to suggest a variation to my style that I really like. What a professional!I was served a nice cup of coffee, got a bit of a scalp massage, shampoo,great cut, and was on my way in about 45 minutes WITH a few suggestions of places to eat while in Lansing.
