This place gets busy quick, so get in early if you go for lunch break. Everything I've had has been delicious, but have yet to have been floored. They change the menu up, which is nice. Personally, I like trying their gnocchi appetizers, fried green beans, and scallop dishes. The meatloaf and pot pie are hit or miss. I will say it's a pet peeve of mine to have hunts ketchup (it's gross) so I refuse to eat their fries. More...

Local dish is always amazing.  The menu is select but still offers something for everyone.   Even the pickiest eater will love their  chicken wings.  The fries are beyond compare.  They are the bigger steak fries and are the best fries we have ever had.  There are many twists on old favorites like grilled corn or shrimp and grits.  The service is kind, helpful and generally seamless.  From the first time we walked in there, it felt like "cheers."   We are always greeted with a smile and thanked with a hearty handshake as we leave. Local Dish is a quaint restaurant in downtown Fort Mill.  We had been wanting to go and finally got the opportunity to a few weeks ago for a midweek date night.  We arrived fairly early in the evening and they were not crowded yet, but became more crowded by the time we left.  They offer a selection a local beers, as well as wine and mixed drinks.  The food was delicious! I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had the roasted salmon.  Both were fresh, full of flavor and cooked perfectly.  Service was friendly and well paced.  I will definitely be back to try more of their menu options! If you plan to go on the weekend, be prepared for a wait or go early as they get busy and often have a decent wait. A must try in Fort Mill! More...

This was one of the first places were visited upon moving to Fort Mill. We have been several times and are happy they brought back the sausage dip! This dip is fantastic, especially, on a cold night. Hits the spot.Currently we are on a six week challenge and making better nutritional choices when eating out. We decided to order their Veggie sandwich with fresh fruit and roasted beet salad with shrimp. The Veggie sandwich had tons of flavor and the fruit was a great side dish. My husband had the beet salad. He loves his beets but this one left him a little disappointed. Great local spot right on quaint downtown Fort Mill's Main Street.  The food is 9/10 times top notch.  One time I wasn't satisfied with the fried spinach and asparagus soup.  BUT please try the Brussel Sprouts (wow!), seafood pasta, wings and desserts.    It's acoustically loud so wouldn't recommend for intimate conversations nor large parties.  The bar is extremely small and often people (including myself) eat there so have to squeeze in for a drink then no where good to wait. This is a great little shop to stop by for a great meal. Found them strolling around Fort Mill and had to stop in. The restaurant had some good reviews and I just have to see if it held up to the hype. I ordered the Braised Short Ribs and this was amazed with the size of the fish and chips dish.I was set back with the cost of the dishes but it could be due to the limited restaurant selections I guess they could charge what ever they want. I went here a couple of weeks ago but forgot to post a review here, although I posted a few nice photos on social media. I went on a Saturday evening and they were quite busy. However there was seating outside and a gazebo where my husband and I sat while watching our children run around with other kids in the grass. They were well worth the 35/40 minute wait. The food was wonderfully fresh and seasoned well. The meats and vegetables truly taste "farm to table". The drinks were also delicious and they made their own ginger beer and apple infused vodka.Loved it and will definitely go back! More...

We loved our meal and the service was friendly and timely. The shrimp and grits were creamy and the shrimp large; the fried green tomatoes were yummy dipped in a light, thin hollandiase sauce. The toasted pound cake with dreads peaches, blueberries and whipped cream was a wonderful ending to our meal. If our stomachs could've held more,we would have tried more appetizers and shrimp and grits!

Very good service. Comfortable dining room. I had the Smoked Turkey sandwich (Bacon, avocado, cucumber, arugula, house ranch, toasted whole wheat. ) All of the ingredients were very fresh and worked together to make a great sandwich for lunch. My only complaint was the bread being over toasted. I choose the pasta salad as my side. It appeared to have a cream cheese base and was very tasty, but I prefer a pasta salad that is savory instead of sweet. It worked eaten along with the savory sandwich. Best restaurant in fort mill. Whether dining in or taking our, my order is always spot on, food is ALWAYS delicious and fresh. I love everything on the menu, my favorites are the chicken salad sandwich, chicken pot pie, and fried green beans. Their prices are very reasonable, and the staff is always super friendly and nice, as well as the service being very quick. I love that they use local ingredients and vendors and highlight that in choices in their menu. OK I searched for a local place to grab dinner while working in the area and came across Local Dish.  I must recommend this place as the food was delicious and the service was outstanding.  I sat at the bar so that I avoided the 40 minute wait and the server Adam was very attentive and a great host.  He recommended the pork chop and it was tender and juicy and absolutely scrumptious.  As for the sides it came with I didn't care for the greens much but the sweet potato puree was quite good.  I also ordered the brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they're the most amazing tasty treats that I can recommend!  I did also try the lemon chess pie and it was good.
