Simply put, Lisa is the BEST! This was our second time working with her for our family photos and she exceeded our expectations once again. The photographs themselves are beautiful and clearly demonstrate her talent & expertise, but it’s her upbeat yet calm personality and willingness to follow the flow that make working with her so enjoyable. Photo shoots with young children can be unpredictable and sometimes challenging, yet Lisa has a way of letting things unfold naturally so that everyone feels comfortable. When our five year old daughter wanted to fill Lisa in on Kindergarten life, she was patient and engaging. When our doggie-loving 16-month old daughter was feeling a bit fussy, Lisa offered to have her own daughter bring their dogs to the shoot to see if it might help! We hired Lisa as our wedding photographer and were very happy with our choice! Lisa and her assistant photographer Erin were both fun and easy to work with on the day of. The hubs and I are not naturally super comfortable in front of a camera and they did an excellent job directing us and making it a fun experience. Lisa is also very responsive and attentive about the planning details (which I think is a must) and her advice was helpful in planning the actual schedule of events for the wedding day. Since our first conversation Lisa has been so kind and helpful. My fiancé and I have never been big into having our pictures taken, so given that this is such an important time in our lives we wanted to make sure that we found a photographer that was not only great at what they do but would make us feel comfortable. Lisa did just that. Leading up to our engagement shoot she answered every single one of my questions (I had a lot) in a timely manner (most of the time almost immediately). Lisa did an amazing job photographing our family! She was so patient and personable as she interacted with our 3 daughters - twin 9 year olds and very active and curious 3 1/2 year old. I was thrilled with the photos Lisa took for my daughter’s first birthday shoot! They are simply perfection and a beautiful way to commemorate such a special event for our family ❤️ Lisa worked hard even before the shoot, helping us pick out the perfect outfit, props, and location. Our backdrop for the photos was some beautiful fall foliage in the streets of Portsmouth. Her artistic eye is spot on- she had a vision for the image she wanted to create, and it was so perfect! (Our little girl, playing in the leaves, looking up at a single gold balloon to celebrate her first year!). Lisa also was able to capture some beautiful images of our family together, which I am so excited to use for holiday cards.

There are a lot of photographers to choose from here on the Seacoast but Lisa outperforms the majority of them. She’s gifted and the reason to go with her is simple…Sometimes you get handed a stack of pictures and you go through them like shuffling cards. Some are ok, some are nice and then you get to a few where you stop shuffling and stare because the picture is so beautiful. Maybe it’s the smile, the gaze in someone’s eyes, it’s that something off a print that evokes your emotions and pulls your heart strings. Lisa’s photos are not where you stare at 1 or 2, Lisa’s are the kind where you stare at ALL OF THEM. It’s the orchestrated detail in her mind and her compassion that tells her when to take the shot. She looks at a person’s clothing, at backgrounds that will compliment them, she looks at the eyes and that certain glance that can fade in a second …and she captures it. Photographers either are robotic or tell a story and Lisa definitely produces a time capsule of art, beauty and of memories. She’s the photographer who doesn’t see just a brides dress - she sees the time consuming beading, the shoes, the grooms ring and his glance before the I do’s are spoken. Lisa took my daughters photos recently and I looked at them in complete awe… not because it was my daughter but because they were truly stunning. The colors, the complimenting backgrounds, my daughter’s look in her eyes and this smile that made my heart skip its beat. I honestly thought these are the pictures that one day her future children will look at and say WOW, this was my mother. Look at her! We met Lisa through a family friend, and we are so happy we did! She helped us pick a perfect spot to do our engagement shoot and gave us a lot of flexibility! (We waited until a month before our wedding to do engagement pictures because we were so busy!) She also treated us like friends rather than clients. She checked in with us, gave us advice on what colors to wear, and always showed us some sneak peak pictures. For the wedding, we had her and her assistant, and they moved so quickly to capture everything possible.
