What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your budget? Do you have a written brief? Do you have examples you like/dislike? If there is copy, is it complete? Do you have art (photos or illustration) or a budget for art? What is the deadline?
Describe your creative process.
Once the client and I have discussed what they want (could be through a phone chat or email), I begin by doing comps. I choose fonts, colors and depending if the client needs art, will find photos/illustrations at this point. I then present comps to the clients, and then make changes. New comps will be sent and once the final comps are approved, final artwork is prepared.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
A brief on what the customer is looking for, budget and deadline.
What do you love most about your job?
A happy client! And I love design and the process of working with a client towards their end goal.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like working directly with a client and doing a project from concept to completion.
