Stopped by with my kids for a treat. Unfortunately, there is no seating in the bakery. Ordered a cinnamon roll to go and it was decent. Could use a lot more cinnamon. Great service! Everyone working here was so sweet from the telephone order to pickup.I called the day before and asked about their most popular items on my way out of Augusta. So, I ordered a cinnamon, cream cheese, and ham and cheese roll. This little bakery is unassuming and in an established shopping center off of Washington Road. I pulled in, hopped out the car, and went in to grab my goodies which were ready to go. Of course, a sugar cookie bar caught my eye so I added that. And...I really really wanted a key lime cupcake. But I didnt get it (FTW! - proud smile).Everything was super affordable and froze well. My favorite was the cream cheese roll (think danish) and sugar cookie bar. It's changed as you all know but I can tell that the recipes have as well. The cream cheese icing isn't as good as it used to be. I stopped by to get the ham and cheese roll but dang it, there were none to be had! Of course, that just means I have to go back and try again. They also quit selling the small bundt pound cakes. The German Chocolate Cupcake is so delicious that It is worth every cent and more-I make a trip to this bakery on Friday or Saturday and serve it as a special treat to my hard working husband for dessert after his Sunday dinner. In town for work and stumbled upon a little slice of heaven, an authentic Mennonite Bakery. Being from Pa and now residing in NC 2 things I have seriously missed eating first is a proper Cheesesteak sandwich (Philadelphians know exactly what I'm talking about ) and the second is a STICKY BUN! Not a cinnamon bun and not those buns sold in the local mall either. I could not get into this shop fast enough and it did not disappoint. If you desire something different to bring to your co-workers/office or it is just your time to bring the snacks and want something made with that extra bit of care head to Lil'Dutch. PSA....you might have to walk or run a bit extra but it is worth it for the melt in your mouth taste of there breakfast rolls especially the pastries. I feel this bakery is one of the few sprinkled throughout the Martinez/Evans that put their heart in their products, which are not massed produced, and once you taste a pastry you might feel the same. I tried chocolate chip whoopie pies for the first time at Lil' Dutch Bakery and fell in love with them. I went to Maine where the whoopie pie is the state treat.
