I can’t express how much I love this place! I’ve had seven children and lost much muscle strength. I desired to get strong and lose some weight. I have gained strength here in a few months, that I didn’t think was possible. I’ve also lost weight with Shaun’s nutritional guidance. I never knew lifting weights was such a great workout with so many benefits. Not only physically but mentally, too. Shaun is seriously the best and her team is a joy as well. Full of integrity here. I have been working out with Stephanie for the past 2 1/2 months and I have NOTHING but positive things to say about her, the facility, the workouts and the other clients! I came to Stephanie pretty fed up with some regain I had experienced (again) and could not seem to lose. I have some food requirements and other odd requirements based on some medical stuff. She quickly got all of the information and started me on a 2 x per week workout plan and we slowly began to talk about nutrition. I like that she was not pushy with me, she would ask me at each workout how nutrition was going and I knew I needed to speak up. I did and we have been literally tweaking things as we go to ensure it is working for me. I emailed her with questions and she is responsive, supportive and so helpful. My workouts are kick A**! They are challenging and I love them! I love Stephanie as a person, she is so supportive of my success and celebrates each little accomplishment with me; she cares. I signed up for LIFT after being diagnosed with osteoporosis. I read on "Better Bones" site how 15 minute high intensity workouts can really help to increase your bone density. I was ready to try anything other than drugs. I have been training for 3 1/2 months. I feel stronger than I ever have, my upper body, my core and my legs etc. I am an avid hiker and I am hiking better than ever. I am certain my bones are stronger too under all that new muscle. The trainers are great to work with and challenge you every session. Hard to believe 15 minute workouts twice a week could make such a significant difference but they sure do. I love everything about LIFT in 15. I have been training with Shaun for 1 year. From day one I have noticed a huge difference in my overall well being. I love working out at Lift in 15. My husband and I have been working out with Shaun and Sondra for the past 7 years!! I am 67 years old and have never felt so healthy. Finally, a way to get a great workout without hours in a gym. This is by far the best workout ever. Shaun is an awesome trainer. Your workout is one on one with her alone in a private room. She has a definite plan for you each session and YOU never have to plan what you are doing or even think about it! Just show up and watch the results. I have been doing LIFT for about a year now. I love the fact that it is only 15 minutes twice per week. It’s hard to come up with a good excuse to skip a 15 minute workout. You would think that such a short duration would have minimal effect on the body, but it’s quite the opposite. The super slow reps result in a very intense experience and I leave feeling like I've worked out for an hour every time. Shaun and her team do a great job making sure you are pushed to the limit, use good form, and have fun at the same time. I started LIFT several years ago after battling an illness for 3 years that left me very weak. Shaun understood my desire to get my strength back, while also being careful not to have major setbacks from doing too much too quickly. As a business owner with two young children at home, 15 min twice a week was a miracle to say the least!! Within a year, I had gained all of my strength back and felt strong and healthy. In November, I decided to go out on a limb and train for a bikini competition - something I would never have imagined I would have the energy to do a few years ago! Shaun pushes me incredibly hard now 3 times a week, and we added the nutritional component as well, which has been amazing! In the last two months, I have lost 10 pounds, several inches, all while increasing strength where I need it - 100% bicep curls, 75% abdominal, 66% leg extension etc.

Shaun and her team have been instrumental to me in gaining my life back, and I am so excited to see what else we can do together! If you want a serious workout and serious results, LIFT is the perfect solution!

I want to give a shout-out to TEAM LIFT Shaun, Sondra, Stephanie and Michelle, An amazing team of ladies of 2018, and the clients that are forever inspiring and motivating by how they are determined to take on this challenging 15 min exercise program. I was introduced to it in 2012 and became a believer in it's benefits and in the results I saw not only in myself, but in the clients I have had the honor to train. I am so proud of the clients who exercise at LIFT. I can see the transformations and they're so fun to work with it's so inspiring and exciting to see it all unfold. We become better overall. I have been going to Lift Personal Training for almost a year and a half. I wish I had started years ago! What difference it has made in my life! I feel strength that I hadn't felt since I was younger. I also had concerns about my bones after breaking my leg, but my Lift exercises helped me to regain and gain strength afterwards. I began LIFT in 15 in 2013 with my husband. We love the targeted, quick workout. I continued through 38 weeks of pregnancy and Shaun was great at adjusting my workout, while keeping me strong. My work outs helped me stay more active while pregnant, helped me with my labor and helped me postpartum. I started my workouts again after five weeks of my baby's birth and definitely recommend it! I worked out with Shaun while I was pregnant with my middle child and didn't with my first or my third (not because I didn't want to! ) but I could tell the difference. I felt amazing. If I could give 10 Stars, I would!!!! My journey started 4 years ago when I won a drawing (my exact words, "watch the fat chic win") at a women's networking event Shaun was speaking at. I made my 1st appointment the following Monday, and I have been going ever since! I have loved my time with the team at Lift 15 and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. They have helped me get out of my own head, and build the strength needed for a prolonged life. I have seen the transformation in my physical appearance AND my internal health. Shaun and the team worked with me to change my mindset on my eating and drinking habits, and I will say it is DEFINITELY a mindset. You have to WANT to make a change, and if you are willing to make the healthy changes (and I still like my fun foods and baking, I just have to not get carried away) LIFT 15 will help you transform to a healthier you! I like that I am not in a large gym setting, ant that they listen to my body needs (lower back, knee and elbow issues) and create a workout that still kicks my butt! Food powers your life. It fuels all bodily processes that enable you to move, think and breathe. There is no aspect of your life that is not influenced by what you eat. Fueling your body with processed food, fast food, sugar, fat and calorie-dense food affects who you are, what you do and your ability to pursue your dreams and aspirations.

Food is that powerful – use it to your advantage.

Food affects our physical well being!
Strength, agility, coordination, endurance, speed and level of performance are all powered by the foods you eat. What you eat determines how you tackle your daily physical activities, including housework, your job, school, homework, shopping, caring for a family and exercise. Eating healthy enables body movements to be executed with ease. A poor diet with unhealthy food choices can make each movement a major effort filled with stress, strain and pain. If you prefer sugar-laden simple carbohydrates to healthier whole grains, fruits and vegetables, you alternate between energy spikes and crashes. A diet filled with fried foods soaked in unhealthy saturated fats and trans fats and high-fat meats increases your risk for major diseases that impair your physical well being and threaten your life. Replace or limit foods containing unhealthy saturated fats and treat your body to the protective and restorative benefits of unsaturated fats found in vegetable oils, fish and nuts.

Mental Health
Food supplies the source of power for your brain as well as your body, and has a direct relationship to mental and emotional health and stability. Learning and memory, illnesses such as depression, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease benefit from a healthy, reduced-calorie diet that includes a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables and fish high in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon. According to an article published in “American Psychologist” in October 2011, reducing excess calories may offer protection against obesity-related neurodegenerative processes, cognitive impairment and reduced brain volume and function.

Eating and Relationships
Eating a healthy diet keeps you physically and mentally fit. When you look good, you feel good and you have self-confidence and fewer inhibitions; you are more outgoing and have a greater capacity for enjoying life. Unhealthy food choices lead to obesity and illness, prevent you from socializing with friends and family, zap your energy, leaving nothing for you to look forward to at the end of the day other than being home, sprawled out on your couch. Eating a healthy, balanced diet prevents weight gain, lowers your risk for diet-related illnesses, such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer and depression, and gives you the energy to have a full and rewarding social life. If overcoming bad dietary habits is a problem, speak with your doctor or a dietitian about making better food choices based on your personal lifestyle and food preferences.

Behavioral Problems in Adolescents
A study published in the May 23, 2009 issue of “Preventive Medicine” examined the effects of dietary patterns on mental health in two groups of subjects ranging in age from 13 to 15 years old. The three-year study reviewed behavior patterns of participants eating a Western diet of refined foods, sugary foods and red meats, and subjects eating a healthy diet, which included fresh fruit and leafy green vegetables. A higher percentage of negative behavior patterns involving depression, aggression and delinquency were associated with participants consuming the Western-style diet. Subjects eating the healthy diet displayed better mental health outcomes.

In summary, food affects all aspects of life and health. At LIFT we help you understand food, have a good "relationship" with food, as well as how to eat properly for life long success at being and staying lean and healthy.

At Lift we help clients reach and keep their fitness goals by educating, encouraging and holding them accountable to eat right and exercise correctly each and every time we see them. Many of our clients have been coming to LIFT for years because our exercise protocol not only works but is sustainable for life. We have clients that range in age from 12 to 96 years old. We train endurance athletes, bodybuilding competitors, people with hip and knee replacements as well as people who just want to look and feel healthy and fit. Our technique and lifting method is scientific and was created for how the body moves, builds muscle and is so safe anyone can do it!

Spoiler alert!!! There is no secret to getting the body of your dreams. Reality is that eating clean, healthy and nutritious food along with strength training creates a healthy and fit body that is toned and strong. People always want a quick fix, a magic pill or an easy road to the "perfect" body but that is simply not reality. Our daily habits create our body composition . At Lift we help clients understand how to create sustainable habits that help them retain muscle and stay lean for a life time.
